Does anyone else have trouble logging exercise using the app from the main screen? I can select Exercise but then when I try to choose the type (Cardio etc.) nothing happens. Once I go to my log I can add it there, just find it odd the other way doesn't work for me.

We had Mexican takeout with some family this evening. I planned ahead and I feel good about my portion control. I have a habit of overeating and being miserable, so being more intuitive and stopping when I was content, rather than overstuffed, is a big accomplishment. I also had water despite really wanting Coke (I rarely drink pop but when we have takeout sometimes I'll have it) and I feel good about that too.

    25 - 2609

    28 - 7418

    29 - 7305

    30 - 12693 + 26 min upper body strength

I have been forgetting that we get "bonus" steps for other activities!

Yesterday was unintentionally a very active day. My car was in the shop for longer than expected (yay, AC problems…) so I had to walk to and from a doctor's appointment in the morning. Apparently, my iron is a little low so I am going to start taking a supplement. Doc warned me that iron can slow your GI track, and it's best to take with vitamin C in some form for absorption. Orange juice used to be my favorite drink in the world, so now I'm wondering if I can make it healthier somehow to take it with my iron.

I did my upper body workout for the week at the end of the workday. Then I had to walk again to pick up my car, and I went straight to kayaking from there. We had some actual sunshine yesterday so I had to take advantage. Definitely won't be kayaking today, but I gave myself some good indoor home projects!

I'm sore today in my shoulders for sure, but I fell behind on my workouts this week, so I am going to try to double up the HIIT sessions today, so I can take tomorrow as a full rest day. This will be the end of week 2 / 6 for my workout challenge. To encourage myself and think ahead, I used an old desk calendar pad as a workout planner for all of June and into the first week of July. I'm excited to tackle this!

    @lauren_989 happy late birthday!!

@Alatariel75 I agree, that's a big NSV! I'm so similar, even if a snack I purchased wasn't as tasty as expected, I usually eat it all anyways. Last night, I bought a box of cheezits at like 8pm (??? ugh), and as soon as I opened it, I could tell it was not a good batch - I really like them flaky and salty, and these are some limited edition shape for the US independence holiday in a month. tasted pretty bland so I didn't have a full serving! Yippee?

@micki48 good to see you in the chat, and congrats on the new peanut!

@jguldi11 I don't normally track my exercise on MFP, but I am able to click on it from the main page of the app, so I'm not sure. Are you able to do it from the main page on the website?

@Kali225 can you drink half oj and half water? Then you can still get vitamin C and less calories.

Hi everyone! Hope your Saturday is going well. I need to give you my starting weight. I weighed heavier on Friday my standard weigh in day, but lighter today. Since it’s my starting weight and won’t effect the team, should I use the heavier weight so first week weigh in is better? What would you do?

@lauren_989 Happy belated birthday! Hope your day was great. My birthday is in a week. Calories definitely don't count on your birthday 😉🎉🎈

@jguldi11 Welcome back! I remember when you were on the team before (actually before your kiddos). So happy to hear you have two little ones. Looking forward to being on the team with you again.

@gidgitgoescrzy Glad to read of the progress of you kitchen. I know it was a lot of planning. I’m sure it will be beautiful and delicious food will be made there. Hang on!

@kali225 So impressed with your workout stats. Great week!!

So far, I won’t be participating in the step challenge because I no longer have a tracker. My phone is not with me every minute so it’s not very accurate. I will post if I get some workouts done. I really need to. It’s so hard to start from zero. At almost 61, when I do stuff, it hurts. Haven’t started and my shoulder and hip have already been giving me trouble for months. Can’t take ibuprofen every day!

    Does our June start tomorrow?

@micki48 thank you, it's great to be back! I remember you and a few other names I've seen in the group, it shows what strong support there is here that people have stayed so long or returned when needed!

When I was here before, infertility was a big motivator for my weight loss, I was thankfully able to overcome that challenge twice! Now my motivation is to be a healthier version of me for myself and my kids. Pregnancy and breastfeeding (I was not one of the lucky ones who lost weight while bf lol) brought me to my highest weight ever, but I have the tools and support I need to reach my goal.
