Apologies for the missed weigh in. I've been training for a casual online powerlifting competition, and did my lifts yesterday. I hit person bests on all three lifts and raised my total 60 lbs from October. My diet increased a bit m, along with water and sodium intake.

Goal now is to continue the recomp and drop to 180, and do this competition again in October.

Not sure what happened…looks like @frankwbrown picked it up…found a boo boo in your steps and corrected that…thanks for the reminder…also, thanks for your kind words…every time I feel like I'm making progress, something happens…it's certainly better than it was a few months ago and the pain is manageable but I'm so tired of hurting. Wish I could pull a "Bewitched", twinkle my nose and cause 50 more pounds to disappear!! LOL I know it's a process, but I'm SO over it all. Had one day this week where I allowed myself three meals instead of two and went out for two of them…made decent choices, but went over a tad on my daily limit…had enough exercise to cover it, but I'm thinking the swelling was from those "out" meals. Trying not to beat myself up over it…have to live, but I knew better.

In any case, appreciate your kindness and yesterday was a good food day…aiming for another today…baking my Sunday chicken recipe that I love and that will take care of my dinner meals all week…just add a veggie of some sort in the evenings.

Hope you have a lovely day!

The Steps Challenge can be viewed as a friendly competition among individuals, but more importantly it can also be viewed as a challenge to oneself. Either way, it provides a motivation for getting those steps in. But as a challenge to oneself, there are a few things to consider:

    • do you want the goal you set to be average daily steps or a minimum daily steps?
    • will you take at least one day/week to relax/recover?
    • do you want it to be an easy challenge or a more difficult one?
    • things might happen that interfere with your plan

Depending on your answers to these questions, your results can mean something different for you than someone else's. So, we shouldn't compare apples and oranges, is what I'm saying. 🤔

With that in mind, here are the results for week 1 of the steps challenge:
