HOW IT ALL WORKS: The June challenge runs for four weeks, from June 1st - June 28th.

Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!

We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leader board. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:Weigh In Day:PW (Previous Weight):CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love Introduce or re-introduce yourselves right away, and let's get June on the road! 😎

    MY INTRODUCTION

Hi all! My name is Mica, and I live in Dover New Hampshire with my boyfriend Rich and my fabulous cat Earl. I'm 69 years old, and I work 3 days a week as a bookkeeper in a plastics factory. I plan to retire in July 2026. I'm at my goal weight (range 127-133).

    Reposting my weigh-in from yesterday:

    Weigh In Day: Saturday
    PW: 132.4

I lost the weight by tracking my food. Everyone hates doing it, but logging works. Did you know that studies have shown that people who log their food lose twice as much weight, on average, as those who don't? I lost the weight over 20 years ago, and I'm still tracking every Bite,Lick and Taste (BLT). I do a strength training workout every morning, and I walk at least 30 minutes every day. In nice weather and in the right season (like now), I'm outside riding my bicycle. In poor weather/season, I have a stationary bike and an elliptical for cardio. My favorite craft is crochet. I love to cook.

    • It's Sunday June 1. The first day of the month, and the first day of the week. It's a great day for a Fresh Start. A great day to take a look at your habits and re-evaluate.

@alimalli86 - Welcome Ali! We just got a little more international, with a member from South Wales! Post some pictures of home, please!

    MY INTRODUCTION

Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband, cute one-eyed pirate pug named Daisy (9 yrs old) and pug pup name Violet who is 2 yrs old. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. At my highest weight, I was 257 lbs. I just had gastric bypass surgery on Dec 20, 2024 to save my life. I had to do something fast as I was losing my mobility. I haven’t had to use a cane since my surgery! I hope to get down to around 165 lbs, or whatever is healthy for me. For exercise, I like to walk with my husband and friends. Up until my surgery, the arthritis in my knee limited me a lot. I am doing a lot better since surgery and a cortisone shot. Besides walking, I occasionally do water aerobics or hike. I also just joined a gym, so I look foward to doing some functional fitness strength training. My husband and I love to cook, I've got 9,189 recipes saved but who's counting? LOL Seriously, I do and they are all organized, so if you need a recipe for ANYTHING, let me know! I've got everything from healthy foods to pet treats to recipes for cleaning supplies. My hobbies: reading, making artwork and crafts, photography, and cooking. I do straight-up calorie counting of healthy foods.

    Good Morning,

I'm Sandy from Copperas Cove, Tx. I'm a Retired Correctional Officer. I am married to my hubby John which we are celebrating 29 yrs on June 4. We have 2 children with families of their own. We have two fur babies Tigger my hubby's cat and Diesel my dog.

This week we are heading down to South Padre Island leaving in the morning and coming home Friday. Trying to decide if I should take my scale as I have been stepping on it every morning keeping me in check.

This week was not much of a loss but I was a little lacking a few days and ate out 2 times. This coming week I planned reasonable meals so all should be good with only eating out on Thursday. Looking forward to some good seafood.

This is going to be a great month Lets all rock it!

    @Katmary71 & @trooworld

Just a quick hello and question to find out if I can hop back in or should I some how apply, it's been awhile! My brain is getting back in gear, it's been a bit of a struggle. I don't remember my last weigh in, it's been so long and I've gained a ton. If I can hop back in, should I just start at my new weight as of this morning?

Hi everyone. My name is Laurel, I am 67 and I am from western Canada. I live with my two crazy pups who I like to post lots of pictures of because they always make me laugh.

I have struggled with my weight most of my adult life. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD which has been a huge game changer for me and explained many things.  I am still trying to get my medication sorted out, it is a work in progress.

I love doing agility with my dogs, going for walks, hiking and hanging with my grandkids. I have 2 amazing grand kiddos who are the loves of my life, 4 adult kids and 2 bonus kids, my life is good!

I was at my goal weight, I think about 1.5 years ago, life happened and now it is time to work my way back there again. Excited to be back and sharing this journey with you all♥️

It's getting to be beautiful here again, Vannie and Ty say good morning to all!

    My introduction

I’m Ali, 39 from the south wales valleys in the uk. I live with my husband, my youngest son and his girlfriend with our 13 year old border collie, so it’s always busy in our house lol

I work as a sales manager full time and enjoy getting away on adventures as often as possible when we aren’t working!

I was always slim growing up but my weight crept up over the years, I managed to hit my goal weight after losing 5 stone a number of years back but regained it and more in the 2 years after my father passed away (I definitely ate my grief!)

I have decided now’s the time to regain control, get back to my happy weight and enter my 40s feeling fit and healthy!

Here are some of my pics of beautiful Wales for you Mica 😊

    MY INTRODUCTION

Hello!!! Brian here. I'm 68 years old, retired, on disability. Finally diagnosed with MS in 2018, after an unexplained left leg giving out in 2017 left me with a broken hip (bad Medicaid repair) and now stuck using a rollator! Still, I feel very fortunate physically compared to many friends of mine!

Since November of 2020, I've lived here in tiny rural, "corn and cow country", Canton, PA. It's in NorthCentral, PA about an hour - I think? - from the NYS border. It's a far cry from growing up in northern suburban New Jersey, or the 20+ years living in Manhattan!!!😲LOL [How, I got here is a long story!]

    Reposting my weigh-in from yesterday:

    @baodell17724

    Starting Weight: 286.2 lbs (6 / 1 / 2024)

*** Yes, I'm celebrating - no cake, no ice cream, though! - one whole year of my current health and wellness journey!!! ***

    Past Weight: 211.2 lbs

    Current Weight: 208.4 lbs

    Down 2.8 lbs🙂

MY ULTIMATE GOAL WEIGHT: 160-ish lbs

My Diet: I've stopped eating - well. 90% of the time - all processed foods (including white flour) and only use sugar in my morning mug of coffee. No more salty or sugary snacks! No added salt on food, because it makes me retain fluids… I just use ground pepper and other spices. I eat low-calorie green veggies mostly, and fruit. My protein sources are tuna, salmon, chicken, lentils, dried peas, and other beans. Fortunately, I no longer have ANY fast-food joints, Starbuck's, Dunkin' Donuts, or bakeries in my teeny-tiny town to tempt me!!! (The only pizza place, sub shop, and Chinese take-out are blocks away, with no delivery!) When I do splurge and overeat, it always is something healthy now. Oh, I do take extra vitamins and supplements, as well, to cover any missing bodily needs.

My Exercise: The first 6 months it was an hour of spinning (cardio) every day/seven days. The second 6 months was 2 hours of spinning (cardio). During this year I went from resistance level #1 to now #8 (of nine levels total). Cardio helped with my weight loss most of the year, but I've now hit a plateau with it. I now have a new rower, and this year will be using it as my primary weight-loss machine to "shake/shape things up", as well as starting to strengthen my arms. Eventually, want to add resistance/weight-training to the mix. It'll be slow-going with this as forming regular habits is difficult!!!

    Hi 👋

I'm Anna, I am married with 4 adult kids and 11 grands. 6 feral cats and my dog, his name is Chipper but he also answers to "best buddy" "puppy" "silly boy" and "I wuv you" lol… I live in Wa., state and I like beautiful flowers and crocheting.

I have been struggling with my weight for over 10 years. The older I get, the harder it gets. I'm now using Wegovy and it's has helped me a lot.

I didn't get outside yesterday, it started raining and I succumbed to the weather. Maybe, I'll get out there today. Besides that, not much really going on.

Another shout-out goes to @bobboyardee for making it onto the leaderboard. WOO HOO!!! @vegan4lyfe2012 and @Cornanda---- way to stay in the GREEN, ladies!

@laurelfit57 Welcome back! I'm so glad to see you! How are the pups? How are YOU? Aww, that is a cute pic of the pups. Thanks for sharing!

@alimalli86 Beautiful pictures! I'm sorry for the loss of your father. Hugs.

@baodell17724 I'll take that watermelon mojito, please! :D

    @sleepygirl79 Congrats on the loss!

HI guys! A rare two-post day for me (See the May thread for my first post of the day)! I looked on the marathon's website at the map and I figured out a way around the marathon to the gym. My husband and I went at about 8:30 am. It wasn't busy. We found parking. The stars were aligned! I did my workout and did not feel nervous or anxious. I was able to find all the equipment I needed. I started out walking on the treadmill for 5 minutes to warm up. Then, I moved into the exercises. After I was done, I thought my exertion effort was MODERATE but looking back, I think it was LIGHT. My workout took 41 minutes. I am very pleased with how it went. Below is what I did. I came home after going grocery shopping and had a bagged salad with rotisserie chicken.

    Tracked yesterday? Yes

    MY INTRODUCTION

Hi all! Austin here. I live in Austin, Texas, with my husband, Eric, plus a small menagerie (indoor cats Piku and Habibi; Beaver, a huge comet/goldfish; Fujin, a green cheek conure; and 5 backyard chickens including Blacnca, the beauty, Elizabeth the bossy and Amelia, my flyer). My hobbies include math, reading, managing a Scout troop's parent committee, working on a literary conference, and birdwatching . (I spotted a yellow-crowned night heron in a tree in our suburban neighborhood this week! I am wondering if it was displaced by the rough storms we had the night before.)

My weigh-in day is Monday. I am at 225 and am looking to (re)lose about 100 pounds.

It has been a good week, though I am not sure the scale will have moved this week. I have gotten in over 7 hours of exercise (18.47 miles so far) and have eaten lots of vegetables and fruits, which is key for me.

My big plans for this week are: keep moving (aiming for over 8 hours of exercise; I checked in with the Warm Weather Workouts thread, too) and eat more veggies, especially salads. Oh, and I need to start reviewing Atomic Habits.

Thanks for being here! I am looking forward to a great June!

Well good morning, it took quite a while to get here as there was nothing in the May thread to bring me to the June thread. @Cornanda Shared a link but in my phone it didn’t work. So I went backtracking in the May thread all the way back to the 20th and there was not a post or anything stating June thread. With all this said how did y’all find it? I’d like to know for future purposes.

@sleepygirl79 (not letting me quote your post) I never saw your weigh in and don't have time to scroll back when we're flipping months and dealing with two chats and two spreadsheets and last month is behind us but no I never saw it or I wouldn't have tagged you. I'll go post last week as your previous weigh in inside the captain's thread so you don't have a "no weigh in" but it's going to be too late if you had qualified for top winner sorry about that.

Hi everyone! I'm Kathy and I'm Co-captain along with my awesome friend @trooworld , we have our expert maintaining friend as our motivator showing us how it's done! I'm 53 and live in the Sacramento area with my two cats. I file claims part-time, trade office work with a functional medicine practitioner for treatment/classes that isn't happening much right now, volunteer at the food bank farm, and am involved with the garden club and a community garden. I have a large garden at home too. I just signed up to foster kittens from the rescue group I got my two from and will have three cuties coming in the next week or two. If I'm not gardening or at garden events I'm likely reading or doing limited mobility workouts as I'm disabled and have a painful condition I'm trying to improve as much as I can.

I'm in charge of logging all weigh-ins. If you need to change your weigh in day or won't be able to weigh in please let me know. It does take awhile to handle that side of things so please try to let me know in advance. You're expected to weigh in each week and if you miss two weeks in a row you will be dropped from the group. You're always welcome to return to this group if you ARE dropped and we'll be happy to have you back! If I know in advance I can excuse you so there are no issues and you AREN'T dropped.

Had a busy day I took my cats for vaccine shots and they didn't happen for over 2 hours after we left! Throwing a monkey wrench in right before leaving the power went out so I had to deal with the garage door to get my car out of the garage. The cats were terrified being in carriers with dogs barking at them but they're caught up on vaccines aside of a booster in a month. A couple in their 80s who got there right after me had the cutest Australian Shepard puppy, they've decided to sell him as he's way too energetic and the wife had scrapes all over her. Good thing I don't have a spare $650 or he'd be on the couch next to me right now! Not sure what I said last night but the litter I'll be fostering is 6 kittens (they had traps out to catch them and caught 6, they have the mom too and they're together right now and hopefully for another week or two) so half are going to another foster (thank goodness omg I was worried for a minute there!). I have pine pellet litter for the kittens and dry food just need to get wet food now. ALso grocery shopped and bought fertilizers at Tractor Supply Store. I DID buy a bag caramel popcorn to eat on the way home and am feeling a little sick but I was so busy I'm thinking most of it's burned off. Have a great Monday friends!

@allimalli86 So glad to meet you! I love you making changes in advance before your birthday, you’re going to be so proud of yourself looking back at 40 over the last year! Wow I love your photos! You need to visit @laurelfit57 and get some pics of your two tuxedo dogs together!

@trooworld I didn’t think I got caffeine headaches either I honestly was thinking at the blood testing place I had gotten the flu until I had some coffee (stupid thing hurt!). That sounds like my gym where they’ll get you started then try to sell you more. You could always ask about it later. One thing I did when I started going again was watch machine how-to videos on YouTube (yes they’re on there!). Maybe we should make your husband try them first since he cut you off the free training! Totally kidding, kind of. Those card games sound like a lot of fun! Love your picture you look beautiful and you look like you could chop carrots with those high cheekbones poking out and sharp svelte jawbone! Yay glad you made it to the gym! Wonderful workout!

    @txcritter69 Have a wonderful vacation!

@laurelfit57 I’m happy to see you back! I’ll report to Lauren your weigh in day is Sunday so you’re all good! I’ve missed seeing those pups!

@baodell17724 Happy anniversary you’ve done amazing this last year!

@DrewsAnna Oh no I’m sorry to hear the rain kicked in, hope you got outside for a bit today. We had 105 degree weather yesterday I’m so grateful it’s down 20 degrees today.

@sleepygirl79 I reported your previous weigh in for lauren_989 as she’s in charge of the spreadsheet. I believe you just wish I’d known earlier so it would’ve counted for the spreadsheet for you. Hope the busy is good busy!

GO MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES ROCKING 1ST PLACE for the week! Way to go @trooworld and @bobboyardee at being top losers! Wow and look at percentage in the green too woot woot!

WAY TO GO MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES in 1st PLACE for May! @txcritter69 @trooworld are leading the pack!

MEMBERS IN THE GREEN FOR THE LAST MONTH ARE AMAZING, WTG @vegan4lyfe2012 @trooworld @Cornanda @lauren_989

@19shmoo69 lauren_989 posted a link to June and said May was closed, seeing that you’re on right before me I’m guessing she was posting it when you posted. A lot of links don’t work on the mfp app for some reason so could be that too.

@AustinRuadhain Good job with your week! The scale is not the only measure of success. Have a great week!

@19shmoo69 As I said to you in the May thread, what Cornanda posted worked, you just clicked on the wrong area of the post, you had to click the title to get it to work. So...to find the thread, I clicked on @Cornanda's post.

@Katmary71 Sounds like a frustrating day! That was a good idea to get the kitties vaccinated since you are going to have kittens in the house. I love caramel corn. Yeah the caffeine headaches are real! LOL I think that was what they would do at the gym, give me the free training session and then hook me on more. No thanks! I have an app (Jefit) that has videos for all the exercises and yes, I have Youtube so I think I'll be okay but if I am not, I will interrupt my husband's workout to make him show me lol. The card games were fun! Hahaha thank you about the pic! That dog is amazingly cute.

Hello all. I have a friend coming to work so I can show her around. We have a nice campus and things to look at and so it should be fun. I have noticed that I don't snack at all when I am home. It is at WORK that I snack! It must be out of stress or boredom. I am a tiny bit sore today from my workout but nothing debilitating. I think the next time I will go to the gym is Friday after work. I made something good for dinner last night, it was a NY Times recipe: Japanese Curry With Chicken Meatballs. It had a lot of greens in it and was pretty healthy. My husband told me one of his mottos which I will take for myself (I have two mottos besides the one below). Here are my two new mottos:

    1. I am someone that eats healthy and lives a healthy life.
    2. When motivation fails, discipline takes over.

Wahooooo, congrats Slimpossibles for being #1! Let’s do it again this month! ✨🎉🤩

@laurelfit57 Yayyyy, I am so happy to see you back! I’ve missed you, and of course, seeing and hearing about Ty and Vannie's adorable antics! 😃

@alimalli86 Welcome to the Slimpossibles! What a gorgeous part of the world you live in. I’m sorry for the passing of your father and understand how grief can derail our lives, so good for you for taking a stand now to regain control. 🙂

@trooworld I’m glad you were able to get to the gym and enjoy your first workout! Are you sore today? 🙂

@19shmoo69 You can always find the new thread by going to the Fat2Fit home page and scrolling down to the groups. 😉

@Katmary71 Awe that Austrailian Shepard puppy is so freaking cute!! Once you start eating caramel popcorn, you just can’t stop. I’ve been there! 😕

Hello! I am Teresa and have been a member for a long time. I’m 59 years old and live in Athens, Georgia, with my husband, mom, sister, and little dog Maggie Mae. I have been struggling hard to get the weight off that I regained after my husband (who is 23 years older) had lung cancer surgery, chemo, and then developed dementia. We have been living with dementia and other health issues for three years, but it feels much longer and is way harder than anything I’ve ever had to do. I’m not on any diet right now other than trying not to eat my emotions constantly. I love to work out by jumping on my hot pink rebounder and lifting weights using my Bodi subscription. My hobbies are jigsaw puzzles and listening to podcasts.

Good morning! Well, here we are halfway through he year, and my weight keeps going in the wrong direction.😟 Why can’t I get it together is the ever-present question I keep asking myself. I admit that part of me just wants to throw in the towel, but I won’t. I will do a good workout today and try to eat like a grown-up who cares about her weight. Joe and I talked yesterday about how close we are to not going to church on Sundays. It’s such a big struggle getting him ready, keeping him awake through the service, and then getting him back in the car to go home. Next week, we have another potluck that I need to be at since it’s part of our revitalization program, which I’m a leader in, and I’m dreading it so much! I know things will have to change, and I just need to pray and figure out the right thing to do. OK, I think this post is long enough. Have a great day! 🙂

Apologies to those who read this in the June exercise challenge, but wanted to share it with y'all here, since you're "my people":

Yesterday I "experimented" with the new rower I've had set-up since November 1, but never got on! (I bought a special one that has a seat 20" off the floor, since with my MS/bad hip repair/weight (at that time, 229 lbs) I knew there was no way I'd ever down on a regular rower… and also get off and back up!😕 I'm glad I waited so long! Safety first! First I now weigh less, 208 pounds, so it's easy maneuvering the fat remaining. It's not easy getting onto the machine with a seat which shifts back and forth (there really should be a temporary locking mechanism)! Also, since it is higher off the ground, my bad hip makes it difficult putting my leg over the bar. Also, a (still) big rear end, means it takes time to position yourself correctly… because your legs are horizontal to the floor, 20" below, and in stirrups, you now need to keep your balance (like first riding a bicycle)!😐️ Finally, the (not so) funny thing that happened, was after about 15 minutes on the rower, I went to get off… and found I couldn't get my feet out of the stirrups, because I had tightened the straps too much! And my fat thighs were keeping me from bending my knees so I'd get close enough to undo them with my hands! (Again, a temporary locking mechanism would have been a huge help here.) I spend a whole additional 10 minutes sweating, swearing, and thinking "My cleaning lady is gonna find my cold, dead body locked in this darn contraption!😲" Eventually I did get one foot free, so the other was a cinch! Anyways, a perfect example that you definitely learn from your mistakes!🤔

    Hi 👋

Yesterday, I had the best kind of unexpected company. 2 of my kids came over and hung out with me for awhile. I didn't get anything accomplished, but quality time with your adult children is priceless.

Confession time, I have been snacking on peanut M&M's and because of it I haven't been tracking my food in my diary. However, I'm getting ready to start another increase with my Wegovy, so that should curb the food noise.

This week it's going to be mid to low 70's, which is perfect, but this weekend it's going to soar into the 80's. Lol… I'm a fair weather person and really hate the 80's.

    Y'all have a great day 😀
