pokes head back in Kinda doing horrible, very, very stressed for various reasons. Spent the last few days mostly living on candy and diet cola. So I feel icky AND I gained at least 2 lb. Spouse has been appointed Keeper of the Candy to slow me down. I am also back to trying to get at least 2 liters of water a day. I think I am going to need to go all in on meal planning.
I had to have an unexpected emergency tooth extraction on Wednesday, which does mean I need to avoid anything that would irritate my healing gums, AND nothing hard that could potentially cause my temporary bridge to pop out. I've been holding off exercising to make sure my mouth won't be a pain about things. Thank goodness the dentist suggested giving me a painkiller prescription! Prescription ibuprofen sounds like nothing, but I can TELL when it wears off!

I think it ’s cooler in Miami than some parts of the country right now! I’m playing tennis in the morning. Then headed out to Boca for a sleep-over at my daughter’s 😊. We will probably order in and start watching season 3 of Squid Game together. Goose the cat is back home with her, and I miss him already and need some cat cuddles 🩷. Other than that, Spanish homework needs to be done as well as some reading for my World Literature class. How about you?
I think you're right Nancy…I looked at Indialantic to see how warm it was for my niece and it was upper 80s with a heat index in the 90s…for us in Virginia Beach yesterday, it was upper 90s actual temperature and heat index at 103. Sweltering is a good word. Trying not to push my AC too hard in the house so I've been keeping it on 76 during the day, with all blinds closed. and then only taking it down to 73/74 after midnight…not the best sleeping temperature, but thank goodness for fans…Betty has one window with just a curtain and she likes to watch the little rabbits play in the yard out of it…then in the living room, the French doors look out over the big backyard and she watches the birds and squirrels out of that one. I catch her all the time standing behind that big curtain and all I can see is her tail excitedly swishing…I call her window watching, "Kitty TV" time! LOL She's such fun. I bet you're missing Goose a lot!! We get used to their patterns throughout the day, so quickly…in other words, Goose had you trained and now you're all discombobulated without him! I've heard of Squid Game, but don't know much about it. I've never watched it. Hope you enjoy time with your girl tonight…sounds like fun!
I don't have much planned for the weekend, just walking/exercising in the house…working on finishing my 30 day personal challenge of at least 20 minutes of walking every day in June. I'm well over it (doing more than 20 min) by this point, but I am tired…this heat doesn't help. Also finishing up my 300k steps for June badge with Garmin. This is the first time I've earned it in six months and I've worked hard. Will finish on Monday most likely, but maybe Sunday. Will be close.
Work has been insane…so many projects and being pulled in many directions to keep everything caught up. IT is never a dull moment, but it's nearly impossible to make a plan and stick to it, because the day can change in an instance, depending on what's going on with system issues. Keeps it hopping, that's for sure! LOL
Enjoy your weekend!

@jessicakrall8 my Friday ended with me in ER for 3 hours I was having chest pains all the way across and nausea so I thought I was having a heart attack- they took 8 tubes of blood and chest xray all came back ok it must have been bad acid reflux b/c they gave me malox an hour in and started to feel better a half hour later

@LaurieWrobo I had similar symptoms decades ago and it turned out to be my gall bladder. My gall bladder was in bad shape and was sporadically secreting amounts of bile that would cause my esophageal sphincter muscle to seize up, causing severe chest pain that felt like a heart attack. I had to have it removed. I also had a hiatal hernia for decades, so I'm familiar with the heartburn problem, but I had that repaired about three years ago.

How are you feeling now?! That sounds frightening…bet you were thrilled when all of the tests came back ok…hope you have a little down time this weekend so you can rest and relax…have you ever had acid reflux before? My mother used to have problems with that a lot…she was always taking Tums or Maalox or drinking a half teaspoon of baking soda in water…
Did they tell you to alter your diet in any way to avoid anything that might trigger it? I'm so glad you got good news.
