Just did 5.40 miles in 114 mins to the distribution plant and back this morning. The path is the one that goes all the way up the mountain…I'm not ready for that yet. Maybe I'll be strong enough again before we get the boys back at the end of the month. We'll see.

Last month was so strange, struggling to get out of the 205's. Literally bouncing between a few pounds all month. But at the same time, my body changed again - clothes are looser and skin is saggier. (skin doesn't shrink 🤷‍♀️ but that's okay.)

Now that I'm not 250#, there's less knee pain and I can walk again. In this mountainous neighborhood, that means a lot uphill. I used to manage eight steps before resting. Now I can do half a block.

    So, I'm thinking…

same weight + exercise = smaller body + more heavy muscle - less fat + more strength

Tuesday: 20 minutes stretch, 20 minutes full body strength training and 20 minutes treadmill.

Paula I think you and I had the same month. 🤣 Minimal weight loss, but the body definitely changed. I needed sorts for Destin, ordered my normal size but had to exchange them for a smaller size. I’m in a size 12 for the first time sense high school. That’s is NSV for sure. My sister said I told you your clothes are too big you’ve have to stop buying large when you are a medium now.

It’s amazing how we don’t see our new self but look in the mirror and still see our old body.

Paula enjoy the walks and keep going. You’re headed to Onederland!.

Chris you will conquer that mountain this month.

I will get to the 150s. Patience, patience, patience. 💪🏾

    Kathy,

That sounds so fun to have to convince yourself you're smaller! Congratulations!!

My trainer is sick so no workout this afternoon but we did have Collin for a few hours this morning because he really misses us! Sara and Ronan had a Mom and Son morning. I am so tired!! I thought about walking but it's already 91!! Egads, man! So I'm reading and drinking coffee!!

Kathy…I will make the mountain before Sara goes back to work on the 24th.

I did 5.50 miles in 106 mins this morning to the post office and back. It was supposed to be cooler this morning, but it was pretty hot by the time I got home. And no wind. But I did it.

I'm not sure about my workout tomorrow. My trainer is still sick. Do any of you ladies have plans for the 4th of July? There are signs all over town that fireworks are ILLEGAL!!! We'll see. We heard them after we went to bed last year.

I'm reading and drinking my Swamp Water.

Did my half hour "around the blocks, up and down hills" walk yesterday. It was such a pretty day and felt so good, that I had considered extending it for a couple more blocks. But because my toe was getting a little sore, I opted to just come home instead.

Today that toe is red & swollen and my knee is wonky again. Took pain meds and will tape my toe. So glad I didn't push it yesterday. I'll stick to the flatter walk to the corner and back for awhile. Just wish it were a more exciting stretch.

My poor old body needs to heal but is still glad to not be housebound any more.

Good job on your walk, Paula. Anything helps.

I did a 60 min workout w/my trainer this afternoon. Then I did nothing but drink coffee and read. We are waiting to 'hear' if there are any fire works tonight so we can go to the parks or the Basin to see if there are any treasures left behind. Pat found a phone one year. He was able to get it back to the owner. I was amazed. Mostly its beads and things we can hang around our dragon statue. We'll just wait and see.

Yeah, he's my guy! A keeper for sure. Forty-two married years plus the three or four years we were together before we married. However…fireworks until 1:00 a.m. last night, so I slept until 9:00 this morning…no Basin for us. I am just going to take the day off and do nothing but drink coffee and dope around!!

Happy Saturday to you all, my friends!

I have been trying to log in. I drove to Spokane Wa for a week. Then when I returned I had trouble logging in. My mom had a stroke. Then in hospital she had two small heart attacks. The stroke was caused by a clot. She is as well as she can be. Long drive and glad to be home.

Paula I think the medication is helping Rocky eat less. It is not a miracle shot. But as long as you listen to your body it will help. But so many of us eat when we are full. He says he was always hungry. And now he isn't.

Great job on getting out there and walking more. Sorry you are sore though.

Chris I love your tradition. And how close you are with your family.

Sunday: 10 minutes stretch, 20 minutes upper body strength and 40 minutes cardio.

Shelley I’m so sorry about your mom. Sending prayers and a hug. Please let us know as she improves.

All of my sisters came over and we had a pajama party Friday night after the cookout. So much fun. Keep your family close. So important.

Shelley, so,so sorry your mom is having heart troubles. I'm glad she is doing better. I'm sending love and good thoughts for her.

I hope the medicine keeps working for Rocky.

Paula, how is your toe and knee. Bummer. I know that feeling.

Kathy, good job on your workout and sounds like it was a fun Friday!

I got 5.39 miles done in 112 mins to the post office and back this morning. The last mile was painful for some reason. I was sooo slow!!! I am making soup right now. Ronan is over playing video games w/Grandpa. It's pretty hot this afternoon…93 degrees and 14 mph winds. Glad I went out this morning!

    That's it for now.

Kathy and Chris thanks for the well wishes. She is still improving.

Kathy a pajama party! That sounds so fun. I would have loved some photos. Pillow fight? Well anyway way to have fun.

Chris so far the meds are helping him slowly. He hates shots so I administer them to him. Great walk.

My son and his family camped at the cabin property last night. We went up for a little while this morning. He cooked us all breakfast.

We purchased the 4 main posts for the gazebo we are building. I wanted it to be built like a brick house! It's going to be mighty and tiny!

first photo shows where it is going. Second shows the 8' 4x4 pressure treated wood. Sanding them all tomorrow. Should be fun.

Also my bff just had a deck built onto their home. They wanted it to replace an older very small one. New one is covered. Lage nd tastefully done. They have a viewof the mountain from it. It was around 30,000. I remember my mos first home costing ess. And it was in Florida. wow. The cover is several panes of some plastic material. Lets in light.

Shelley, you are amazing. You can build anything!

I had my trainer for a 60 min workout this afternoon.

We had Collin for a while today. Ronan, Sara and Pete went to a movie. He is so funny!

I might just walk to the ruins tomorrow. We'll see.

Monday: 10 minutes stretch, 25 minutes upper body strength workout, 30 minutes recumbent bike.

So Shelley when you visit Atlanta you think you have time to build me a gazebo. 😂 I’ve always wanted one.

Good work Kathy! I hope you get your gazebo.

Paula, Collin is 2 years and 7 months old. Be very careful what you say cuz the kid repeats EVERY WORD you say…and has a s**t load of sass to lay on you!!

Today is World Allergy Day…explains the runny nose…🤧🤭

And today is our 42 wedding anniversary…did I ever tell you guys about the Judge that officiated our wedding?😍 Oh, my!

Don't think I'm going to walk today.

    That's all for now.

    Chris,

Stay safe. It looks like it's gonna be a scorcher this week in your neighborhood. It's hard to imagine how it can be 90-100's inland while staying 60-70 on the coast. My Bro's family are coming to listen to Derek play at a local pub on Friday. It should be a welcome respite for them.

I don't think they have A/C and will suggest they bring their dog, Biscuit, to cool off too. He's a husky/corgi mix: super goofy, super cute and such a flirt.

Kathy I would love to build you a gazebo. I think not having tools would be a problem. I still am going to make it there. Rocky is needing me now. Keep working out.

Paula thanks. It was scary. I would love you to post just a little of Derek playing.

Chris sounds like fun. I keep falling asleep typing and it gets removed!

It's a little frustrating for it to be so hard to get below 205. But I try to remember it felt the same way trying to get below 210, and 220, etc.

Had my trainer for an hour this afternoon then I did nothing!! It was/is windy out there and got a little hot. Tomorrow and Friday are suppose to get to 99. I need to get up early to be out by 8:30 tomorrow. Looks like it will be to windy for an umbrella but I'll take it anyway.

I got 5.50 miles done in 124 mins this morning before it outrageously hot and humid. The air is so heavy out there now…EGADS, man!!! But this morning was okay. I had my umbrella with me and everything worked out. There were a lot of folks out. It was beautiful!

My sweet husband made scrambled eggs for me when I got home. He's so sweet!! Now I'm going to read and drink coffee.
