Paula, they were good eggs, too.
Had my trainer this afternoon for a 60 min workout. It was good. My shoulder is acting up again. I must get back to the exercises my doc wanted me to do while I couldn't see my trainer. I just keep forgetting…ugh.
It's over 100 degrees here this afternoon. Sara and I have haircuts tomorrow morning so I'm planning on an early walk Sunday morning to the post office. Got my fingers crossed.

Chris it is hard to remember to do doctor ordered exercises. So boring! Working out alone is boring too.
Paula I smiled fondly at your comments about getting out of 205 ect. You can do this.
Kathy I hope you're still working out with your friends. I will need that 10 pound dumbbell when I visit you know. Wink
Here are a couple pics of what Rocky and I have been doing. Wish someone was there to get some photos of me helping.
It was my job to carry the insulation and baffles up the ladder to him. Also anything he needed. Staples, nails, blocks and 2x4x12. Also I called breaks and dog walks.
Tomorrow I am doing yoga class outside. Should be fun.

Two days ago I skipped dinner and lost weight. A lightbulb went off! I looked up calorie levels and found that my daily goal is set at maintenance level instead of loss. So I reduced my daily calories by 100cal and lost again last night. Maybe that's what was needed to lose faster. 🤞

Sara and I got our hair cuts this morning, and that's all I've done today. It was so good to see her. We are planning a lunch/shopping day for Thursday next week. Fun! Fun! Fun! She and I haven't been together in such a very long time. I miss her.

Sunday: 10 minutes stretch, 30 minutes lower body strength, 30 minutes indoor walk and 10 minutes abs.
Someone on Facebook recommended Carolyn Girvan for Strength training on YouTube. I found her Iron Series and did workout 1. It was the lower body one. It was tough and a real challenge. I believe it’s a 6 week program. We will see how it goes.
Shelley I bought the 10 pound weights but not ready yet. Still using 5s and will transition to 8s.
Paula so proud of you. I definitely need to lower my calories. Exercise isn’t the issue. Onederland here you come.
Chris lunch /shopping sounds wonderful. I’m having 2 of my great nieces over for 2/3 nights. We have the same plans only I’ll be with a 7 and 12 year old. Going to be fun. Especially the shopping. Buying them a few things for school and going by the book store.

Kathy, Have so much fun w/your g-nieces! My brother's family visited Sunday, his daughters are teenagers. They try to be cool but their reality does not focus on old folks. Luv'em anyway.
I had a rare drink of alcohol but seemed to have survived. Stayed within carbs and calories; but know better than to do that too often.
A doctor needs to check my foot. It isn't healing and I need to walk around the block!

Did 5.40 miles in 117 mins this morning. It was beautiful with a bit of a breeze. I had my umbrella and needed it for sure! Sunshine!! Ronan came over this afternoon and played w/Grandpa for a while. I made soup.

My sweet husband walked around the block with me this morning. His knee is really bad but maybe walking a little will help it. Walking sure helps mine!! Then I had my trainer for a 60 min workout. It was good. Then I bought birthday presents for everyone on Amazon!! My favorite! Now I'm finishing my coffee and reading.

I was so tired last night must've not saved my post.
Paula you should be stoked. You are doing wonderful. And now you are no longer on maintenance mode you will see results. Onderland! Has a nice ring to it. No my legs did not feel it. I do leg workouts regularly.
Chris so happy hubby walked with you. Any thoughts about his leg? Going to improve I hope.
Kathy start with bent over rows with those bad boys. A good move for increasing weight. You got this. So yesterday we spent most of the hot day working on a pergola. HOT! Miserable. By the time we decided to stop it was 8:00 and we hadn't even ate. Went out. Gin and tonic for me. Then a quick shower and read my book. Today was yoga and more pergola work.
As you can see it is not a square pergola. I have been cutting all the ends with a jigsaw so they have a little design.
Paula more climbing 🧗♂️again. Starting earlier tomorrow to hopefully get it mostly finished.Shelley

Our neighbors house was built to close to my property line. But It doesn't bother me. They are quiet and we respect their privacy. Who knows. Might enclose that side of the pergola to give us both more privacy someday. On the one side with the clematis plants we are putting in a new trellis for them. And adding birdhouses. It should be cooler tomorrow. Working in 90 degree weather is awful

Wednesday: 12 minutes FitOn lower body stretch, 30 minutes workout 3 CG glutes and lower body workout, 60 minutes water aerobic class.
Water aerobics class with my bff. Trying to mix things up.

My trainer had to cancel today, so I did nothing!! I probably should have gone for a walk, but by the time she cancelled it was almost noon. I had too much coffee to go on a walk without visiting the bushes. 😂 I didn't want to do that.
Ronan was here for a while.
Tomorrow I am going to brunch and shopping with Sara!! So excited!

Last week my toe was getting worse and my knee was acting wonky. So I shortened my walks and only used the levelest block of street.
Today, our challenge required someone to walk 20min of hills, which is basically once around my block. So I tried it but pulled out my hiking boots for protection. The result was okay: toes that felt no worse and a knee that remained wonky.
So the challenge may have gotten me back on the horse - doing its job.

Good job, Paula. Sara and I did have a blast. We went to a new Barnes & Noble Book Store, wondered around, didn't get to all of the store but got enough until next time. Had lunch at BJ's…best chili in a bread bowl ever!! Oh, and french fries!! Man! we have to do it again real soon. We hit a couple of other places then finally got in the car and came home. Fun stuff!!

Thursday: 10 minutes stretch, 30 minutes CG full body strength training and 30 minutes Recumbent bike.
Taking a break today for two reasons… my date and slumber party with the girls, I moved up to 8lb weights and I’m in pain and need a break. I’m sure I will get in plenty of walking with the girls.
Shelley I hope you’re happy. You pushed me to those 8s. I’m also blaming you for my pain. 🤣🤣🤣

Chris I can't imagine a book store that you couldn't walk around in under 10 minutes. Amazing.
Paula take care of yourself. Maybe have a doctor look at you again. I am glad the boots helped.

Shelley, the book store was huge!! So different than the old stores. We'll have to go back!!
I did 5.82 miles in 121 mins to the post office and back. And now I'm reading and drinking coffee. The weather was beautiful warm with a cool breeze on my walk. I get to do the same thing tomorrow!!

5.40 miles done in 126 mins this morning to the post office and back. Man!! That was a hard one! I haven't done 5 miles two days in a row for a very, very long time.
Now I'm gonna drink coffee and read. I hope your Sunday is a good one.

We had Collin for a Play Date this morning while Sara and Pete took Ronan to see the Superman movie.
I had my trainer for a 60 min workout at noon.
Now, I'm going to make soup.

Monday: 30 mjnutes full body stretch. My back is still hurting so I’m taking it easy either way strength training this week. Only stretching and cardio.
The weekend with my great nieces was wonderful. We had a great time shopping. Playing and laughing. My 7 year old niece shocks me when I’m driving down the street and she shouts out Sephora and Ulta. “Can we stop Aunt Kathy”. Bailey you’re not old enough for make up and perfume. She comes back with “that’s okay I smell good anyway.” 😂🤷🏽♀️
We spent at least an hour in Barnes and Noble. They got a couple of books each then asked if they good get a couple for their brothers and they would read to them. Sweet girls I just adore them. Here’s a picture.
