    I missed yesterday's check-in. I had a wonderful weekend and really felt relaxed. Yesterday was so busy, I didn't think about observing stress. Last night I reviewed the day and planned to do better today. This morning I started out with a bike ride. I was surprised how often my shoulders crept up to my ears. I worked on breathing and being present. I was surprised with how much stress I was holding in my shoulders. After lunch, I resumed work. I did my deep breathing so much today, I would be surprised if there is any oxygen left for anyone else to breathe. lol. I realize I need to make a chart on here for consistency and not just on paper. Have a great evening.

    @donna25trinity I am glad you could make it. Sounds like a lot is going on in your life. I hope things get easier at work soon. Where below the equator are you located? Hard to imagine it is cold somewhere when Florida is sooo hot & humid.

    @hcoleman232 I am glad today was better. May the rest of your week be full of joy.

    @donna25trinity , thanks for joining us! July is hard to get into since the month starts with a major holiday here in the USA. Wow! You’re working on a lot. A checklist sounds like a terrific idea to keep it all straight.  Your new work duties  sound tough!

    I didn’t realize you live in the Southern Hemisphere.  Those early morning walks should make you  proud!

    @hcoleman232 ,  hugs 🫂. Sometimes staying positive is a very hard exercise. Can you think of a particular practice to help reset your positivity?

    Bravo @SummerSkier ! Good tracking! Keep laughing!

    @Learningmoments , Oh, sorry the 7th was so stressful. Glad you’ve got the breath practice to turn to in such days.

    @snowshoe072 , great job spinning, biking, and walking! What would h help you get to your guitar?

    @77tes what would help me get to the guitar the chance to leave it out and not tucked in the case… my dog is curious and they get dusty which is not good. I guess an appointment with myself would be best 🎸

    @SummerSkier , bravo for you showing up every day! 👏 Of course, that’s the norm for the woman who has been running for years! 🙂

    @snowshoe072 , I can imagine my puppy with a guitar. That would not be good! Can you find a spot for the case that would remind you? I’m just throwing stuff out there. I’m not a musician, but my sister is and I know that she gets so much joy from playing and tries to play every day. But she plays piano,so her instrument is never out of sight. Hmm, I should ask where her son kept his violin, but he had a mom who would schedule his life to include his lessons and practice, so it might not help you. Oh here’s an idea - how about make taking your guitar out of the case your goal. I just got a visual of my kids wasting time slowly getting ready to practice. 🤣

    Thanks @77tes i think the best plan is to just make time there are only 5 scattered around the house and one needs a trip to the shop!
    A ok day not much exercise woke up with a headache might be the humidity.

    9 days in. I must say that the tracker is not really telling me anything i did not already know. I can almost but not quite link my TDEE directly to the steps on my fitbit or miles which I run. Interesting. Would that not be a very simple thing. Walk 20k steps eat 2000 cals. Walk 10K steps eat 1000. But of course the days I only do 3000 steps are a problem so I think it might need a base.

    @Learningmoments I think you will have fun with family at the beach! Um.. is that June or July dates you are listing?🤷‍♀️🧐

    @TerriRichardson112 , What a beautiful garden! Clearly a project worth the eating of your time! I guess your flexibility practice extends to your time.

    @Learningmoments , Bravo on the observation practice! It’s especially important on the hectic days! Make the beach trip happen!

    @snowshoe072 , sorry for the headache. I’ve never lived in the humidity zone, but I’ve visited and that was rough enough. Hugs 🫂

    @SummerSkier , really it’s great that you’ve already got your TDEE figured out!  But please don’t do 1000 for 10,000 steps! The rest of us would die!

    I got to the guitar! First thing after coffee this morning and I will at least tune another after this as the humidity plays havoc with the strings. Good day walked a power walk of 20 minutes at lunch and I cautiously say the scale is moving !

    July 12 - 16 hours. Dancing last night was such fun! 🤩 I’m proud of myself for closing my eating window when I was full, which made it earlier, and having no snacks at the dance (all store bought, so not irresistible). It paid off since my teeth were brushed and flossed after my last meal and that made it possible for me to shower quickly and get to bed earlier than ever for a dancing night. Celebration song is “I Could Have Danced All Night.”

    @TerriRichardson112 Lovely garden space.

    @77tes Great job fasting! 👏🏻👏🏻

    @SummerSkier , @snowshoe072 , @Learningmoments , @donna25trinity Keep up the good work!

    I had a bit of a rough patch, but finally talked with my boss and told him what the issue was. I’m now able to focus on work and not worry about my current position (hopefully for the next few years as I don’t want to be forced into a stressful position I don’t want).

    To clear my head I’ve been working on a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle; they’re my go-to for minimizing and shifting thoughts.

    Week 2

    Walk 2 miles - 2x (weekend walks tracked)

    Strength training - zero

    Three rings closed - 🤷‍♀️ I didn’t wear my tracker this past week M-Sat

    Flossing - 100% 🎉

    @hcoleman232 that flossing is definitely going to pay off! Altho I do have 2 small cavities which require fillings later this month those don't terrify me as much as "crown" work.

    Had to do a small update this morning with a 15 cal sugerfree pop snack later in the day but all logged.

    Dropped off tracking food last week, and not much exercise as new job became priority. So back at it this week... I don't think I ate poorly but it's all about taking accountability for not tracking right... I won't make champion on uac but I'll still get back on the horse... I've still got another 13 years of work before I retire so will need to work out a way that work stresses and work load are not an excuse to derail my goals.. the good news is i still stuck to my fasting.. xo

    @donna25trinity Sounds lovely. I LOVE dolphins. I have a bedroom that is decorated with dolphins. It is very peaceful.

    My trip to the beach was lovely—so much fun with the grandkids. I continued my observations. Interesting to say the least.

    We start a new week. Keep strong and enjoy.

    @hcoleman232 , I’m so glad that you figured out the issue with your boss! NO one needs that kind of stress ! I love the idea of winding down with a puzzle. Bravo for your weekend walks! Great job on the flossing! 🙌

    @summerskier Good save ! Small cavities are definitely better than crowns!

    @donna25trinity , the place you live sounds idyllic! Sorry that you’re dealing with so much work stress. That seems to be a theme. 🥹 Hope you find solutions.

    @Learningmoments , so glad you got to enjoy that beach trip. 🏖️

    July 13- 18 hours. I was running late this morning so I didn’t get my breakfast before church. Extending my fast didn’t feel bad at all, so that’s a win. And lots of calories for the rest of the day ! 👌 My daughter asked me today why I kept singing THAT song (Go! Go! Go!) - I didn’t admit that it is my celebration song! 🤣

    @donna25trinity , what a fantastic plan for the week! And already ticking off the items!

    The book about fasting that I’m listening to suggests using measurements and/or “honesty pants” (a size or two too small) rather than the scale. So on Sunday I pulled a pair of slacks that I haven’t poured myself into for a couple years. They were snug, but actually wearable. So yay ! NSV!

    7/14//25- Busy day. Observing is good, but not sure how or what to fix first. It seems I have no extra time for myself. I always allow others to call on me.

    @donna25trinity That is a great list of habits! Did you work on each one for a month or how did you get successful at them?

    @snowshoe072 Great job! Especially time with your guitar.

    @77tes Great job fitting into the slacks. Be careful with the dizziness.
