Weigh-in Day: Friday (September 5, 2025)

CW: 245The Memorial weekend was fun but took it's tool (despite the extra activity) so I've been slowly dipping since Monday but just not enough. We're leaving for Columbus, Ohio in a few hours to see our daughter and son at the Ohio State football game on Saturday - it's the alumni weekend for the marching band so it's become something of an annual event. I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun but my scale could use a break from all the celebrating. Oh well, at least it's for a good cause rather than mindless eating for no good reason. That said, I'll try to make some good choices along the way.

My goal for the next 2 weeks is to walk 5,000 steps for 5 days/week. So that's a goal of 25,000 per week, but I see you do all 7 days, so that's about 3,500 steps per day.
what day is the last day of the week? Fri? Sat? Sun?

Today was a good day! I took a long walk this morning, then we went and visited my hubby's grandma in the nursing home. She has dementia and doesn't recognize either of us, but still good to see her. Then it stormed and rained all afternoon. I took an amazing nap, finished a puzzle and book I was reading. Tomorrow should hopefully be nice, so working in the yard! 🌞

I’m late with everything because my Mum has taken really ill and may be in hospital for the next few weeks. I was going to drop out for a while but then thought the weigh ins and step challenge will keep a little normality in my life.2 -

I stayed away from fast food except the day before my weigh in, and I didn’t drink any water yesterday either (yesterday was so hectic). So I’m thinking the high sodium —> water retention… but overall I just need better planning and to keep healthy food/snacks in my bag… lesson learned!

I need to remember to keep my phone with me to track steps. I can reach 5,000 when I’m intentional on hitting my steps so just need to try to think about it everyday…forming new habits are hard!!!

PW: 166.1 lbs. I forgot I had gotten that low. This week it has been much higher.
CW: 166.7 This has been the lowest weight I've been all week so I'll happily take it.
My feet have been hurting me, probably from all the walking exercises I have been doing through YouTube, so this week I have done other things like housework and chair yoga which use up a lot less calories. I did get on the exercise bike once, and this week I will use that more as my substitute.
