@gillis1118 great NSV!! And that recipe sounds good! How much chicken broth do you put in it? Also - I have no idea how I missed your steps 🙈

Just given a 3 year transformative program to lead at work so it's been early mornings and late nights. No exercise to speak of but eating healthy - I do need to reduce portion sizes though. I'm considering retiring next June-ish but I don't have it in me to become a slacker or ease into retirement. At least I'm sleeping much better (averaging 6.5 hours now vs. my usual 4 - 5 hrs - it's been like that since as long as I can remember) although not sure if that's from the cooler weather (since I'm always warmer than my wife Susan) or if I'm just exhausted at the end of the day.

About the chicken… I don’t add any chicken broth - it’s makes a lot by itself- after I shred it, sometimes pour it out or depending on what I’m making let it soak it up. It’s easy to shed when it’s still hot

@jimboden3 Congratulations on your new assignment. It shows your management's confidence in you. I am glad that you are sleeping better. I wonder if the shorter days helps with that. As a newly retired person, I recommend finding some volunteer work or a hobby that will help keep you busy and happy. Maybe you can ease into it once you get a schedule established with your transformative program.

@gillis1118 You got me craving some shredded chicken. I have a recipe that makes it barbecue and it is really good. I added some shredded carrots to my sandwich and used pumpernickel bread because I have heard that it helps your digestion. They both added nice texture and flavor.

Will you give me some advice of what I can do when I hit a plateau? This whole month seems to be stalled for me.

    CW 209.4

No change but at least it's not a gain!

@ShockinglyFit plateaus are so hard! Sometimes I've found that varying my calories can help or maybe changing up your workout. When we do the same thing all the time, our bodies get efficient and we don't burn as many calories. It seems like there's no rhyme or reason to why we get stuck.

@ShockinglyFit when I hit a plateau, I try to change things up just a little. 100 less calories per day. Or add 1,000 steps a day. Or if I've slacked on weighing my food, go back to that for a week to make sure I'm not misjudging the amount.

Thanks, @lauren_989 and @virgoreader I will change things and hope that makes a difference.

Sorry this is a few days late! My father (89 next weekend) has been having some medical issues over the last few days, including a hospitalization. Anyway, we are back home and here are my weights:

    PW: 180.8

    CW: 182.0

I feel like I keep gaining and losing the same 1.5 lbs!

@gillis1118 I've never been to a trunk and treat, but it does look like a lot of fun. You decorated the car beautifully with matching costumes!

@AnnaZimm70 Hospital stays are so stressful! I hope your father is doing better now that he is home.

How exciting to be in the 150’s Congratulations 🤩 I have been within .3 lbs of the 50’s for a couple of weeks, not sure last time I was there but I’m sure it’s been decades. Not too much happening this week so hopefully I can stay on course & follow in your footsteps 😁
