Hello Shape Shifters. Saw my doctor early in the morning. He was pretty thorough in looking me over and then agreed with me that it was occipilates neuralgia. He was not very familiar with it and had to do some google searches which I thought was funny. I can't swallow pills and he had to check if the medication he wanted to prescribe me could be crushed so he called back at the end of the day. I can pick up the pills tomorrow. I am getting amitriptyline which can make you pretty sleepy so I have to take it in the evening. He also said it can take a few weeks before it actually starts to block the nerve pain which seems really useless to me. I am having pain now so I want it fixed now. Though speaking of pain, today was a lot better. After the doc visit, I had my morning walk, got some groceries and then relaxed and gamed some. The doc also said it is totally fine to work out, even with weights, as long as I don't put too much strain on my neck. Well, I am not a bodybuilder, so I suspect my workout will be fine. I went to the gym for cardio in the afternoon. It was a new week so I had to increase my workout time by 5 minutes again. It felt very hard, though I am also still pretty exhausted which likely didn't help. I got a couple of pain spikes during the workout, but it wasn't too bad. Going to take my pill mix again before bed since it seems the nights are the worst. Good night 💛

Hey y'all…glad everyone is starting to feel better…I'm still coughing my head off, but I'm starting to feel more normal again…just tired of the cough. Just making it through Friday and then I'm on vacation until the 20th. My car is still being repaired…should be done by early next week. Rental was covered by my insurance company through today, so I'm footing the bill for Thurs/Fri. Will return after work and they're giving me a ride home afterward. If I don't make it to the store tomorrow afternoon, I'll just do a grocery delivery sometime over the weekend.
Betty's new cat tree arrived today…didn't know it was coming fully assembled…was on my porch when I got home. Stopped a neighbor to set it down into my living room and I rearranged. Betty was all excited, running around and climbing it. She's just like a toddler with a new toy! And her Halloween cat treats arrived…oh and her Halloween costume arrived…will try to get pictures this weekend and post.
Headed to bed because I need to be up early and into the office early. A lot to get closed out before vacation. Have a great evening!!

thank you @PatriceFitnessPal it’s not too much trouble anymore. Over time I’ve just created a template and saved it in my iPhones Notes. They make it easy to copy and paste and using cute tickers helps me stay on track and look for trends. Like I notice that my best days tend to be Wednesdays. Then I took a gander at my food logs on Wednesdays and I tend to work out the most on that day and I’m still eating meals what I had preplanned over the weekend
I’m not sure what changed my mindset this week but I just know I was down in the dumps and didn’t feel like doing anything last week and now I’m not lol (chalking it up to hormones)

Hello Shape Shifters. I had a nice walk in the morning and loved all the mushrooms in the forest. I found cool ones every few steps, it was crazy. Almost had no nerve pain which made the walk a lot more enjoyable. I got groceries after and picked up the pills. Only 'problem' now is that I don't want to take them since today has been very little pain. I am however getting a cold and I have had a regular headache pretty much the whole day. I am blowing my nose every 5 minutes and sneezing a lot! I think I will give it another day to see how the nerve pain is doing and skip taking a pill tonight. I didn't feel good enough to go to the gym, so it was another boring walk at home on the walking pad. I am not happy about that, really don't want to skip the gym at all. Also did a lot of gaming and cuddling Tinus. Good night 🧡

CW: 127.0Good morning. I have been on the Struggle Bus with my sleep all week, so it was nice to see the loss! Long story short, I’ve been struggling with a sleep disorder for the past 3 years, which has really gotten worse this past year. Had sleep studies, tried a slew of meds and cpap, with no relief. Now waiting for a custom fitted mouth guard to be made. I’ve tried everything. It’s really put a cramp in my morning workouts. Most days, I end up going back to sleep instead of working out and it’s really impacting my overall mental health. On the positive side, my eyesight is at 95% now so that’s a plus. But I haven’t slept well in years so it’s getting me down. Sorry to complain. Wishing you all a happy Friday. 💜
