I have totally failed. I have been sick last couple weeks and havent walked at all! Oh well there is always November
lovingmylife, just as rainbow198 said, you have been sick and needed the rest. She is absolutely correct in that you did NOT fail in any way :noway: .
It is far better to allow our bodies to heal than to push further than they can go and have a relapse or get worse.
Start back tomorrow if you feel well enough. There is no need to wait for November if you feel up to it before then.

Yes, hang in there. Listen to your body and know that you can't fail at this. Taking the time to get well will make you stronger and that is certainly not failure. :flowerforyou:0 -
My goal was a little too easy I stopped tracking because I was easily getting 2 miles a day. Next month's goal will probably require a bit more attention to detail as I'm upping it to 3 miles a day.
Which I'm kind of excited about0 -
Thanks for all the good wishes. It is really frightening to learn that I could have developed septicaemia but the swelling is going down now and I will be back on my walks soon I hope:-)
In the meantime keep it up everyone
surreyhills, Yes, that is exactly what happened to two dear older friend of mine. It was frightening to see how ill they were when that happened. That is why I was happy that you recognized the need for treatment right away.

Thank you dear Texasgardner . I am relieved to say that I am well on way to recovery was SO lucky my OH took me to doc on day one -it seems he thought my toe was broken! I never even got the flu like symptoms one of my friends says she had when it was on her arm.
I have started walking again a bit too though not at usual speed and my total so far
this month is now
45 miles so I might make 50 but not my 60 target :-)
WoW surreyhills, You are walking again! All those miles are definitely so awesome. EVERY mile is a victory while recuperating from an illness.

Thanks for all the good wishes. It is really frightening to learn that I could have developed septicaemia but the swelling is going down now and I will be back on my walks soon I hope:-)

Thanks Ann for the encouragement!! This is the most LS miles in a month for me b/c I focused on the Leslie DVDs. I'm probably going to change it up some next month and adding something else and lowering the miles again. Got to keep myself guessing :laugh: . And I need a different focus b/c holidays are coming up .
