Cindyinpg's October 2013 Challenge
Major Goals:
1) To eat ice cream every day in October.
On days when for some unforeseen reason, I cannot have ice cream, I will have at least one moderate serving of one or more of the following:
- S'mores Pop Tarts
- Dairy Milk Cookie Crunch Chocolate Bar
- Pancakes with Maple Syrup and Butter
- Potato Chips
- French Fries
- Cheeseburgers
- Pizza
- Donuts
2) In addition to the ice cream, I will fulfill my macro/micro/fiber goals by incorporating the following:
- Chicken breast
- Variety of green salads
- Fiber One Cereal
- Peanut butter
- Protein Powder
3) to lose 2-4 lbs during the month.
I am getting close to goal and want as painless as possible transition into maintenance.
4) Weight train faithfully on Mon, Weds and Fridays .
Just started the Allpro beginners routine 3 weeks ago.
Minor goals: (copied over from Brainy Burro, because they are awesome)
5) to help demolish the silly myths by orthorexics and food shamers.
6) to show that you can still enjoy foods you like while losing weight.
Will also periodically post my progress, random musings and pics of ice cream.

Day One:
Starting stats:
Starting Weight:180 Height 5'11"
Goal: 176 (Healthy BMI for me... Yay!)
Starting measurements:
Bust 38, Under Bust 32, Narrowest part of waist 36, Widest part of hips 44, Biceps 12, Calves 16.
I figure my TDEE using a Bodymedia Fit. Ranges from 2500-3500
Macros 50/25/25 Fiber:40 grams+
Salt/Sugar: Don't wanna know, don't care.
I aim for an average deficit of about 600-700 calories a day to lose 1lb a week. I know the math doesn't work, but that's what been working, so *shrugs*
Tuesday's are my Saturdays and one of my two weekly evening kickboxing classes, so it's a high calorie day.:drinker: I'm going to do a version of the Warrior Diet today and have most of my calories tonight. Fiber One for breakfast, protein shake for lunch, homemade lasagna and a side salad for dinner with angel food cake, strawberries and Cheeky Monkey ice cream for dessert. Pics to follow!0 -

Cumulative Deficit: 3159 (good thing I banked some on Frida, typical weekend for me, actually: near maintenance.) Still on target for my goal of a weekly deficit of 3500-4900ish for a 1lb minimum loss. :smokin:
Today's Ice Cream: Substituted a FAMILY size Dairy Milk Cookie Crunch chocolate bar. ( Meant to eat 9 squares, but finshed the entire thing while reading about the evils of sugar addiction on today's forums. :laugh: )0 -

Nutritional Summary:Looking at the weekly average, macros are quite well balanced: although fat could be higher. Sugar and sodium are high, but who cares?:drinker: Got lots of fiber in. :smokin:
Activity Summary:
My overall daily activity is down from my usual and not sleeping as well either. Not a bad week, but could be much better. I'm challenging myself to have better numbers next week.
