Then after I thaw out, I have a 12:30 CPR & AED certification training class to go to. Looking forward to that at least.
Have a happy, healthy day everyone! Keep it moving!
Dave
My next one is in May. Then Advanced Cardiac Life Support in September (same thing plus intubation and running a code). Then Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (same thing as ACLS but on babies) next spring. I spend a lot of time saving plastic dummies. I always wonder how many calories it burns?0 -

And now for Statistics Saturday:
26 people have made goal :drinker: That's 19% of us and there's still a week left!
There's only one person who hasn't moved at all. The average number of non-movers is 33!!!
We have 126 repeating participants. The average is 60!!!
So far as a group we have moved 10,993 miles this month. If we were doing a relay race on Mercury we would have circled the planet with 1,500 miles to spare! And the way the weather is here right now, being on Mercury might be a welcome change!
Temperatures on Mercury change from -300F (-180C) before sunrise to over 800F (427C) in the afternoon. Perhaps this relay is a welcome change for New Yorkers but I'll pass
Seriously now, probably the best thing that happened since we turned MYAC into a group is that it eliminated the non-movers (particularly the 'I'm so thrilled, I'll kick some serious butt this month, I sooo got this' bunch) who would promptly disappear   We may get less new people now, however the ones that stay are serious, dedicated and make the challenge worth its while :happy:0 -

i did the race for the cure yesterday...intended to walk with my camp gladiator group and forgo the run this year....when i got to our meeting place there were only two other campers there and one was running for time and one was just running to run....the one not running for time asked me to join her and once i found out her pace was 13/14 i was like sure why not.....
we did the 5k in 38mins and i can not tell you how proud of myself i am for pushing on and actually challenging myself to do the run when i havent run/run/run since august with the exception of sprints at boot camp and a couple interval runs with my friend beth at night which were more walking than running.....
i will more than likely not make my goal of 65 miles this month but i have been walking instead of biking on my lunch hrs when i dont have camp....i'm working out 5 times a week still, just not putting up the mileage i was.....
35.89/65 miles complete....0 -
@ Bluiz13 - Way to go! Even if you don't make goal, that's a pretty impressive result for the month. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:0

And congrats go out to DCMAT and WTW0N for making goal! :drinker:
Dinos, I should have done my research on Mercury - didn't realize it's even colder than here before the sun rises. No thanks. :laugh:0 -

1/25 - 5.5 miles walking
Total to date: 95.5 of 105
I'm getting there...0 -
5 mile run this morning that can best be described as character building. I wasn't dressed quite warm enough (only wore one pair of running tights and really should have had 2), and for about a mile & a half I had ice crystals covering my face as snow was blowing into my face. But I'm closing in on goal anyway.

I'm sorry I haven't been around in awhile. Life has been a little crazy the last couple of weeks. I do have 8 miles I haven't reported yet, but I haven't worked out in a week, and last week I ran a couple times. I continue to lose weight, so over all I'm doing ok. But had really wanted to meet my goal this month. So I'm looking forward to a new month to try again.
