So I didn't do the 30 DS yesterday, I worked late and the didn't have the motivation to do it. BUT because I had to come report in to your lovely ladies and tell you that I flaked out yet again, I woke up early this morning and did half the 30DS. :-) My knees were hurting today for some reason, and I could never catch my breath, so Star I totally get having an "off" day. Just wasn't feeling it!
I've also realized that part of my de-motivation in doing the 30DS (I'm still getting my walks in every day) is because I'm bored. I don't feel like my fitness level is ready to move on to level 2, I can barely get through 1; however, I think I need to switch things up a bit. I've revised my March plan :-)
30DS - 3x week incorporating weights (still haven't done that)
Walk away the pounds (i'm pretty sure I still have these) - 4x week
Walk the dog - 7x week
I'm hoping the new plan willl re-focus me and get motivated again, cause I can't keep flaking and coming here and reporting to a bunch of badasses that I'm flaking.
Skittles, glad you like your dentist even if you need a lot of work. ;S Walking with friends sounds like lots of fun. You got in so much activity yesterday, that's fantastic!
Jem, great alternate plan, WTG! Juggling our lives with this new lifestyle is half the battle!
Meg, welcome! Sounds like you have a solid plan, you'll notice your mobility changing and glad you'll be sharing that with us!
Star, totally get the "off" day feeling. That's pretty much been my whole week! LOL You still rocked it though, 8 min is AWESOME!!!!!!

Sadie you are doing amazing. some days you just need to take the 30ds off. I can't go to level 2 yet. I still have a hard time with 1 this is why I am decided to do it for one more month because some times I have to still take a break. and I love the walk away the pounds videos. I watch them on youtube haha
today I am doing the 30DS, my 100 jumping jacks, walking but I want to try and walk 120 but I have to break it up today because I am going to be visiting my cat today, she lives with my ex she is mostly an outside cat so I can't bring her with me to my home with my hubby because they only want inside cats so my ex agreed to keep her and it works for us. ( weird I know, its like we share a kid ) lol and I haven't seen her since Nov so I'm excited. and after I'll go back to walking more0 -
Lol, sounds like we all had modifications to our exercise plans yesterday! Awesome thing is we all came in with a backup plan for today, I love it!
After classes yesterday I was thankful I did the 30DS in the morning so that I had at least half my time in so didn't feel as guilty. I'm definitely not gonna be able to do those every day yet, but I've been doing some YouTube browsing and found a few workout routines I may start adding in and alternating. (Routines for the bigger people on YouTube, seem very accommodating actually)
@skittles. I'm in the pre-nursing program at my local community college. I got CNA state certified in December, it'll be next year before I can start applying for the different nursing programs though. .... Sounds like you have a busy day planned, good luck getting it all in and have fun with your cat visit!

Jem you do what you can. and that is what we all do. it will take time, and just a few days ago I was able to do all the jumping jacks. and I started back in Feb, it still kicks my butt some days, well most days lol
well I did 2 hours of walking, I did spilt it up and I also did 30 mins on the elliptical as well as the 30DS and my 100 jumping jacks. I think I'm going to take a nice hot shower, clean my kitchen because I put it off for 3 days now lol and later do a little walk around the pounds.0 -
Jem, I agree with skittles, we all do what makes sense for us. No one here is judging how much/how little we are doing - we're here to encourage each other in our individual goals. :-) I don't do nearly as much as everyone! LOL
I'm feeling much more in control. My eating hasn't been the best this week and I've only been logging sporadically. That's all changed as of right now. :-)
Dinner is lean and green and I just finished the 2 mile walk away the pounds. Wow, I forgot how much those tapes are good work outs! (yes, I have the VHS version LOL) I'm sweating and my heart rate was way up there. I read that here tapes are 4mph - that's pretty darn brisk!

May sound like an odd question ladies, but here it is....
Because of my knees I have a hard time getting up off the floor. Do you think it would be too much of bad thing doing them on the bed? Crunches, leg lifts and stuff like that. Push ups im doing on the wall.
I did my crunches and stuff on the bed last night but almost felt guilty doing it that way, like I was cheating not accommodating0 -
well I was looking that answer up because I truly don't know if its good or bad to do them in bed. I read some answers saying go for it just work into doing them on the floor, but other answers said it isn't a good idea. so I'm stuck on which side to pick. I know some days with my tailbone it hurts me to do them but I kind of push thought the pain a bit ( not sure if thats a good thing or not lol when I see my doc on the 11th I'll know for sure) but I say do what works for you.
so today I really notice I'm not eating as clean as I really should be. since I am no longer sick I just want to eat anything. so tomorrow I am planing to eat all good things I need a new start to the clean eating.0 -

NSV but I just hit 60 days, wow 2 months and even with being sick I still tracked. I may only be 19lbs down. I am still happy it is off.( hoping for a loss on monday when I weight in )
today I am about to go walking I try and do the 30DS before I walk but my hubby is working from home and he is on a video chat meeting and I really don't want his whole office seeing me working out lol so I'll go walk and he should be done with his meeting and I will do the 30DS plus my 100 Jumping jacks. again today I'm going to eat clean all day as well try for 2 hours of walking. I may have to break that up plus I have a stupid spur in my heel ( hate those things) but I'm still going to work out.0 -

Jem, the only thing I would worry about doing crunches on bed is your back. It's soft so your back may twist in a way that's not goo for it. I'm wondering if you can do a modification to crunches sitting in a chair? That might be better....
Morning is on track, breakfast and snack down; both healthy. WATP on tap for lunch time. My dog is going to her grandma's soon. She loves going to their house, they have a big backyard on a ravine - lots to sniff, chase and bark at. :-)

so I think I did pretty good on eating today,I'm going to be making some popcorn air pop of course haha and watching some tv. My hubby and I went to the gym this evening and I did some arm weights, they have posters of things to do so I tried them and my arms hurt a bit lol oh del, so how did everyone else do today?0

well I didn't do 30DS was busy cleaning the house and hubby and I went to get taxes done ( it was going to be a good day or bad day, it was a good day getting some money back. and only have to pay 2 bucks to the state so thats a good day

Skittles, that's awesome that you got your taxes done. :-) I haven't done mine yet, still waiting for a few slips from my bank.
I didn't do any videos, but I did walk both days. Today was spent at my folks house as it was my Dad's birthday on Thursday - but we celebrated today. Eating was in check.

today I did some walking around at the stores, I didn't add that plus a friend sent me this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FPQRmbFIUI its for the biggest loser workout, I wanted to give it a shot, Plus I love that it doesn't just have tiny people lol but omg I haven't sweated this much in a while. and I was yelling at Jillian too lol it was hard but I'm going to do it a couple more times, I think I'm going to do this every other day and the other days do the 30DS.

well I just did the biggest loser video again, I really like it, it really makes me sweat and i feel like I'm doing something right. also I lost 2 lbs, I now feel I am closer to 300 then I was to 400. even if its only 348. I started at 370 which was closer to 400:frown: my next goal is to lose 18 lbs so I can use the wii fit. you have to be 330 for it to work, but I will get there0 -

I'm late to the game but I want to play. I started (again!) on March 1 tracking my food after being away from MFP for a year. Today is my 10-day tracking success and I look forward to having a full 31 days of tracking at the end of the month. I purchased a Fitbit band this weekend to count steps/activity and sleep. My goals are going to be simple for the rest of this month as I get back into the swing of things.
Goal 1 - track all food to the best of my ability every day this month.
Goal 2 - Wear the fitbit band every day. Aim to walk 10,000 steps every day to reach Fitbit goals.
Goal 3 - Get satisfying sleep. Fitbit band monitors sleep activity and I would like to see nights with less tossing and turning.0 -
Skittles, way to go on the loss! I love your perspective about being closer to 300 then 400. :-) You are doing so awesome you'll be on the wii in no time!

I got in my walk with the dog and 30DS today. I added 3lb weights to the strenght moves and OMG! I can barely type my arms are shaking. LOL I also am fed up with not really being able to do the jumping jacks & jump rope. I don't know what it is..fear of the bouncing maybe? So, I replaced those 2 with jogging in place and I think I got a way better cardio burn then I have been. I'm going to continue to try the moves and if I can't get it replace with jogging in place.
Food is on track today and I'm hoping for a stay the same or small loss on Saturday (considering my horrible week last week, my goal this week is to net it all out in the end). It's only Monday but feeling focused this week.

Star we all have days like this. but remember you are kicking butt, I love hearing about when your running because one day I want to be were you are and able to run.
Said way to go on adding the 3lb weights. and the jumping jacks suck, I can't always do them. and some days it hurts when i do them because my tummy bounces haha just do what you can. your in the right track

Thank you for the support ladies. I really do appreciate it and it's more comforting than you know. I've been having some health issues that are causing some mental/emotional issues, insomnia, etc. Like I said, I'm just all out of sorts right now. Trying to make appointments with dr's but no one seems to be able to find a solution. Will keep trying.
The "silver lining" is that at LEAST I'm not going off plan and eating crazy foods to soothe myself. I'm a BIG TIME emotional eater and I haven't touched a single item that I shouldn't. PROBABLY because I know if I do it will make matters worse for me physically. But aggghhh....I just want this to be over.
HEY!! I don't know if this helps but when I workout I wear a GIRDLE!! Actually, mine are GIRDLE PANTS that start at the bottom of my bra line and go all the way down to my ankles! LOL. I've learned that it REALLY helps with the higher impact movements. I feel less JIGGLY---more held in place. I don't do jumping jacks or run without them!

HUGS Star. It's tough when we have to go health related issues. BUT, I want to pat you on the back for not eating your emotions! That's a HUGE accomplishment, you should be very proud of yourself!
I'm sore today - front of my thighs and my arms and back...I take this to mean I really worked the 30DS yesterday. LOL I could barely get off the toilet htis morning. hahahahhaha
Today is walk the dog and WATP. I may or may not get the WATP done - we'll see how I feel this afternon. I'm doing stretches every hour or so, hoping the soreness will go away. :-)

Star I am with Sadie on this, you are doing amazing with not eating with your emotions, it truly is very hard to do.
Sadie I know the feeling with being sore. I been doing the biggest loser video and its making me sore, but yours right we are doing something right.
Today I went to the docs about my tailbone and got some X-rays done but he now wants me to get a ct scan which I go this thursday. so I am hoping it will tell me something. he thinks there might be a fracture so he needs better photos. and if they is the case he called it something I didn't understand the word but he said its really called a pain in the *kitten*. lol well funny to say but hurts a lot. and he said it could take up to a year to heal:sad: but if that is the case I will deal with it over it being something else. he did say they may give me a shot to help, not sure how I'm feeling about the shot, but we will see after thursday.
as for today I'm about to do the biggest loser video, and off to walk its going to be 60's today which I'm super excited about. yay but snow tomorrow ahhh stupor winter :grumble: and off to zumba tonight, I missed it so much and the girls there thought I wasn't going to come back. I'm not giving up this time. I don't take what it takes I am never going to see 350 again or above. I am promising all of you and my self that I will never go past that number again.0 -

No WATP for me...still SO sore. But I did do the walk with the dog and we were moving very quickly!
I always under-log my exercise (i.e. I think we were walking at 3.5 but I logged it as 3) becaue I feel MFP over estimates the calories burned. That way, I'm sure not to go over calories if I eat the exercise ones. I try not to, but when I'm hungry I do sometimes eat them. :-)

Well I went for a walk outside. my neighbor asked me to check in on her dog today, I feel so bad her hubby passed away on Sat he had cancer so she was going to be gone today at the funeral and asked me to take her dog out. and its such a nice day we both enjoyed it a lot. I also went to my little gym and walked more and used the Elliptical. I don't go fast on that but I set it to level 15 which is super hard but I sweat even going super slow haha. I also have Zumba tonight and your right Sadie I love it, even if someone took a video of me they would be laughing the whole time lol
Sadie way to go on the fast walk and I agree with you I also feel MPF over does the calories, last time it took me with my work out and eating that in 4 weeks I should be 300 lbs. now I know that will not happen, I'm not dropping 48 lbs in 5 weeks, I wish haha but not gonna happen unless I had surgery lol. but one day I will and I can't wait.0 -
Hello my beautiful people, how is everyone? tell me about your day because I know it had to be better then mine haha, I woke up to rain ( could of been snow) but still rain makes me sad and then just spent 4 hours at the dentist I have to get a crown put on so they gave me a temp but I freaked out so I needed a break and I was cold so the doc thought I was going to pass out so I walked around a bit and I have to get 4 teeth filled ahh I thought I had horrible teeth but she told me I don't, ( I think she just said that to be nice lol ) also she said my left side of my mouth and face will hurt a few days so not fun and I haven't done one work out today. I may go to zumba but thats up in the air. and all I ate today was oatmeal so I'm a bit hungry haha but I am going to stay positive because I am better off from how I was in Jan. I am down 22lbs and I feel amazing and I am blessed to have you guys as friends to be here with me. we all have our ups and downs. but even out bad days we need to track and talk to people because I feel being over weigh is a disease and it kills and I also feel it tries and isolates us from others. so we need to break out of it and move fwd. I am also here if anyone wants to talk or just vent feel free to send me a msg.

Been MIA for a couple days, thought I'd check in. Eating has been in cal range, but semi junky since I'm submitting to pms cravings. One day I'll find e healthy alternatives that work for my body, until then I accept moderation of those foods. I'm getting my exercise in, jus not in the cycle form, I've learned that I need to go easier this time of th month with more stretching and strength workouts than cardio. I can ride or walk slow, but anything with speed jars my insides too much and causes pain with they cysts and sore breasts. Trying to get some stuff done around the house this week and prepare for the room overhaul, bought the paint last night....can't wait til it's all done!
Got a grandbaby due April 10th, but doc informed the momma that he will be early. As in sometime in the next two weeks! Yep, grandma status at the ripe young age of 37, and I can't wait!
Yeah to star for not eating your emotions, that's a. Huge hurdle for many people!
Skittles and Sadie, hope you both start feeling better physically, sometimes the pain is a good thing as it's a reminder f what we are doing good for our bodies....others such as the "pain in the butt". Just need to go away!0 -

It snowed here yesterday, I would say at least 25cm if not more...I'm so done with this. It was so heavy cause it was raining at first then turned to snow. I hurt my left arm and pectoral. I can't move my left arm without pain. That may mean modified exercise. I'll walk the dog at lunch and see how that goes. Eating was pretty non-existant yesterday, had some weird stomach thing going on yesterday. Today toast to see how that stays in my stomach. HOpefully it was just a blip cause I'm hungry! LOL0 -

well my mouth doesn't hurt anymore. yay thats always a plus and I got my ct scan and I go back tuesday to find out what it is for sure. today I did some walking and I'm about to do the biggest loser video then I have my core and strength class tonight and after that I'm calling a few places in NY by Niagara falls because my mom is getting married this year, I'm so super excited for her, this will be her first wedding, she was never married so I'm so happy and we talked she is going to get married one day before mine and my hubbys first year. she was worried but I was the one who told her to do it lol. I think it be a blast plus family can be there for her on her wedding and be with us on our one year. I'm super excited about it.:bigsmile:0 -

I'm here today, so very tired. Winter this year is taking it's toll on me. I have 0 energy even though I know I'm sleeping alright. Just hanging on right now. They're calling for more snow this weekend and next week...
