OK everyone... middle of the month runs from July 10th thru July 20th....

Time to buckle down and get serious!

This is an important time for progress to be made, so the last week is less stressful!

I'm curious to know what each of you are doing to assure a successful month for yourselves this month!

Wishing everyone success Sunday! I am really trying to ramp up my workouts. I generally do circuit training ( weights for 5 cardio for 2) in the mornings for 30 minutes and I have started doing C25K. I don't know if I will get through it as I have never been a jogger but I WILL get healthier! Down 2.6 this week and very happy with my progress

I worked harder this week than any since I began in May... I gained back 0.5 lbs. :noway:

Sad to say that I gained 4.6lbs on my trip but here's to getting back into the swing of things. We'll see what I can do in the few weeks remaining.

    Carl,
Remember that you're still in the heading in the right direction since the start of this challenge. Keep your chin up and stay positive, with your drive and determination you'll get where you want to be.

Carl, it could be just a simple matter of water retention, I have seen me fluctuate 4-5 lbs in a matter of hours, just keep your focus on attaining a healthy deficit and it will all be good in the end when you are feeling fitter, healthier and getting in to smaller clothes.

Heather I agree with changing your goal. I sometimes bump my calorie intake to let my body know it is ok to burn the fat. I find that if calories are too restricted I start to reduce metabolism.

Carl - that is nothing. And also a note to folks who may not realize it. You should weigh yourself before you work out. You can actually weight more after a workout because the body is retaining fluids to try and recover. So keep that in mind as well.
You'll be back on track this week.

Smirnoff - Congrats!!! That is awesome and helps get me going!

Hmmm I swore I had posted my weight for the month. Anyway - my weigh-in days are Saturday mornings.

    SW - 194
    SW for challegne - 188
CW - 189 ( I was up a pound on Saturday which was not completely surprising). High sodium week with not nearly enough fruits & veggies for me).

I lost weight after 10 days of vacation! Woot! I definitely didn't watch calories closely, but I was super active. We took 4 mile walks daily, did half mile swims, paddleboarded, & kayaked. Oh and I chased my two little boys around on top of it all:) Back to reality: running and tracking intake.

    Great work everyone!

Carl...no worries! I would worry about a gain too until I realized that it was my weight-loss pattern. I gain a small amount or stay the same, and then I have a 2-3 pound lost the next week. As long as I stay within my calorie goals, I have decided not to worry so much because it eventually shows on the scale or in measurements.

Great job! I just started the C25K program also, and like you, I have never been a runner. The great thing about this journey is trying new things!
