New to the group!
I had the day off from work so I was able to get in a longer swim, 3300m. Love the smell of chlorine in the morning.2 -
2000m - very uninspired. Struggling to get my mojo back since being so sick in July. Off to England and Germany next week so hopefully that might help!2

Short swim of 730 meters today.0
-
1650 meters and 400 meter kick set.3

@emmab0902 Enjoy England and Germany.
@ryenday ripping it up.
I am still in Dry Dock for another 3 weeks before our pool reopens after maintenance cycle.1 -
7km last night.
2:08/100m average for the first 3k
Knocked that down to 2:03 average by 6km. So I was 10 seconds faster average for the second 3km.
Finished with 2:03/100m average.
What happened at the end of the first 3km? Other front crawlers got in the lane. The race was on.1 -

Feel for ya @juliet3455 - it sucks to be grounded. This has been going on a while for you!
@ryenday is indeed tearing it up!0 -

Aren't you both sweet. The swim across america cancer research fundraiser is October 1 and I'm in training- well I know I can swim the mile- I'm just likely to be the oldest one there and I'd rather not have the team competition part of the day held up while "Granny" finishes her mile. Lol.3 -
6.4km today.
Faster 100m average time too.1 -
One more week of closed pool, then a weekend wedding out of town. Looking forward to Monday the 18th...1

2500m today.
0 the previous 2 days.2 -
7km today. Life guard saw me in locker room before heading in to the pool. He smiled and gave me two thumbs up.
Fist 30 minutes was rough. Weaving through 3 slow breast strokers. Got kicked and scratched a bunch of times. The next strokers were much easier to deal with. Then had the lane to myself for an hour in the middle.

2050 meters ( 1450 crawl, then 600 mixed strokes)2

Swam an hour today but didn't count laps. Medium intensity mostly freestyle interspersed with drills my triathlon coach gave me.
It really helped me rehab an angry sciatic nerve I managed to pick up last week in Muay Thai.2 -

2500m this morning.....in England!!!!!
Was much harder than it should have been, but probably partly due to having only slept for six hours in the past 64 hours and having major jetlag!!1 -
1200 only. I hit snooze on my alarm clock and it meant I didn't have time for more. It was a grind but at least I got some time in.1

Hard to do precisely 1 mile in a 25 yd. Pool.
35.2 laps.0 -
Only did 3km last night. Had to call my wife to make sure she got up in time. Or daughter is off to the University of Hull UK for semester. Didn't want to be late to the airport.
I'll make it up tonight since it was a sort of rest day yesterday. Ha!1 -

Been there. I have found that getting a swim in as soon as possible helps with jet lag and getting my mind back in synch.
My daughter will be landing in Manchester tomorrow morning for a semester in Hull. I'll tell her to wave in your general direction1 -
Waiting. Patiently (or not) waiting for the pool to reopen. Running in the meantime. It's dusty and hot, and it doesn't smell like chlorine (although the forest does have a fabulous smell at this time of year)...2

6.4km. Last night. My hand ended up making one dude regret not looking before he pushed off the wall. Funny thing is he was just standing there. Then just as I stroked forward with my left he decided to lunge forward off the wall.
I've had people that know I'm passing them pushing of the wall at the same time that I am. They are doing breast and wide frog kick. So now I have to swim wide to avoid getting kicked.
Luckily I had the lane to myself half of the swim.
Next Tuesday will be my last swim here for this trip unless I get enough done to the Wednesday morning off and swim at 7.
Flight out Wednesday.1 -
2850 meters total. 2150 crawl, then aquafit class, then 700 mixed strokes.2
