Did you swim today?

1400 or so yesterday (I lost track.)
2000 today.1 -
1900 meters - mixed strokes. Thanks to Apple Watch I no longer worry about keeping track. When Apple upgrades the software in a couple of weeks, I'll let you know how the swim sets work on it.1

8km yesterday after taking a rest day in Friday.
Gym opens at 10am today.1 -
Only 7km on Sunday. Thankfully not crowded again.1
-
1700 meters. Mixed stroke. 20 minutes of kick drills, didn't count laps for kicks. I feel like such a dilettante posting my puny swims here - lol2
-
30x100m with fins.1
-
@ryenday I wish I'd done 1700 + kick.
Today I swam 1200 including kick.
Aw, I was just kvetching. @fishgutzy 's "only 7k" made me realize I'd have to swim around 4 to 5 hours to get that in.
Also, I have a serious swimmer in the family who loves to make fun of what he calls 'my little swims', so I'm just self conscious. Lol1 -
The pool finally opened! I got my mile in. There was still time before class, so I put my fins on and did a little more. I too, have "little swims." But I'm the only swimmer in the family, so they seem long and fabulous to me Post 'em all! That's been such a great thing about this group for me. Even I can call myself a swimmer among this lot!1

So glad your pool opened! My little swims seem long to me too!0 -
Finally got back in the water for a cool and rainy evening. Very slow compared to last spring but it felt great. 1850y in 50 minutes.1

Swim was so sorry last night I didn't even record it.
One of those times when swimming clarified my mind enough to see a solution that I felt compelled to get in it immediately. Never been driven to cut a swim short. But I'm in China, and when I'm here three is a while different set of pressure. Can't wait to get back home and swim before work again. That was suppressed to be today but got extended until Monday.
Anyway, hoping to get a mind clearing 8km in tonight.0 -
Quick 2.1k today. 50m, 100m, 150m, 200 m x 4 and warm up. Swam in a faster lane today so I am now exhausted....1

2050 meters, 1500 crawl, 550 mixed strokes.2
-
Just over 6.4km last night. pretty good pace control the first 6km. 1:59/100m the fist 3km, 2:01 the second 3km.
Had a nice push from 3 other front crawlers and got to 1:53/100m For the last 440 (10 laps).3 -
Awesome pace, @fishgutzy -- I'm way off where I was about 8 months ago where I was knocking off 2500y plus in an hour. Tonight was all I could do to get 2000 yards in 50 minutes. But it was still fantastic and I loved it all even though it was nice weather1

1600 today. I tried to use a snorkel for some kicking and only lasted 100m. It was disconcerting not to be doing regular swimming breathing.0
-
7km last night. I fought the urge to 'race ' the last interval and let one of the other guys set the pace. Get like I was doing a warm down pace. But when i checked, I still did 2:00/100m.
Did a little swimming diplomacy too. Shared a couple endurance improvement tips I picked up along the way.0 -
24x100m. Mix of distance per stroke free and IM. Swam most of the free at 2:05 per 100 including rest which is pretty fast for me.2
-
800m then break for aquafit class then 1600m mixed stroke but primarily crawl0
-
Just one 7km last night.
It wad a good swim. Most of the time shared lane with another distance front crawler. Turns out he said he swims for about 3 hours.
A couple times we turned at the same time and he kicked up his pace to "race" me.
His technique is like mine used to be. When i was done, I made a few suggestions based on what I've learned and works for me.
It was cool to have that opportunity.1 -
1600.2
-
3km today. My version of a rest day.0

Still in Dry Dock waiting for my pool to re-open after maintenance cycle.0

That's one thing i like about the Y. When one pool is closed for service, we can use the pool at another area Y.0 -
Friday: 1 mile @ 56 min1

The communities within 1.5 hr drive all do the maintenance turn around at this time of year ( the chlorine injection maintenance specialists/pipe fitters - etc make an extended trip to hit all the little pools ) this reduces net costs for everyone. The nearest community that has multiple pools with offset maintenance cycles is 2.5 hrs drive so not a viable option for a quick swimtrip.1 -
8km last night.
No swimming again until I get home.0 -
1100 m, + 20 minutes kick drills0

Yahoo! Swimming back in the US again. Had the whole pool to myself.
4 miles. Averaged 1:49/100 yards at the end.
1:48/100 in the first 3000 yards.0
