We did an interesting set last night at masters swim practice
    50+100+50 fly
    25 freestyle sprint
    50+100+50 backstroke
    25 freestyle sprint
    50+100+50 breastroke
    25 freestyle sprint
    50+100+50 freestyle
    25 freestyle sprint

The interval was based on 1:15 per 50m so plenty of recovery time.
One of my objectives this year is to race in the 200 Individual medley so this is a good workout for that. Hopefully we will have more like this as I was getting pretty bored with practice lately since it focussed almost exclusively on freestyle.

    4x50 in IM order + 25 sprint freestyle x 3 on 1:00
we also did an 800 and 8x100 on 1:45 and a couple of kick sets.
I don't know what has come over our coach with all these IMs but I am loving it!

Too busy setting up for a surprise birthday for my 80 year old mother.
Inside the card I wrote "hopefully you are not reading this in the ER after the surprise. " :D:D:D:D

AND....the super fit guy that got in as well, I beat on everything! he said, 'well I've just done spinning', to which I replied, well I've just blasted 50 laps so we are even :p!' hahahahah so very hyper!!
PLUS....got sevreal comments bout epicness of beating this guy.
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Made it yesterday (finally). Got 2500y in before the deep water cardio class. Felt pretty good. After working really hard, it's hard for me to maintain my body positioning for a cool down. My hips sink drastically. It's almost easier for me to keep well positioned when swimming hard.

only did about 2 miles yesterday. We were checking out another gym near the new apartment. It was okay. It actually had all the lanes roped off. The sales guys are trained to say it 25m and argue that it is regardless evidence to the contrary. I did this it when I said it is only about 22m because my strokes per length are less than a 25 yard length pool.

    1700m today (Fri).
I swam Monday. Then the pool was unexpectedly closed Tuesday and then I was lazy Wed and Thurs and skipped it. I had a high-stress week and had bad stress headaches most of the week. After finally getting back in the water today, I realized that the stress headaches and lack of swimming directly related.

Exactly. My China trips, before we cobs good pools to swim, were very stressful. Anxiety, not wanting to do anything in a group, all amplified.
I'm naturally an introvert and don't enjoy critters much to begin with. But the therapeutic cashier of swimming is that I can better pretend to bbq extrovert for periods of time.

The company decided to pay the 4000RMB for a 24 month swim card membership at the new place. Nice. Since I really only SWIM here, it saves the company money overall. I jyst have to adjust my Fenix until I get the rift pool length. Next swim I will set it to 21m.
No way I did 1:52/100m last night or 17/18 strokes per length when I'm at a typical 1:55/100yd and 19/20 strokes per length.
If I set it to 25m per length I'd look even faster.

The pool at INGYM is a little different. But at least it has all the lanes roped.

Nice swim today. First time having an entire lane to myself for the whole swim in China. That means I didn't get kicked or scratched once. :D

    2000m.
I really wanted to do a 2000 so I stayed in the water too long. I got to work with about 10 seconds to spare, wet hair under a layer of dry hair on top, and goggle rings around my eyes. But I did a 2000. :)

couldn't swim yesterday. China pollen awry was kicking my lungs badly. Better today. Hopefully I get there.
And 20m seems the right length for the pool bad on time to complete 6.4km (4 miles. )
