3300m today. I did a tough but rewarding set of a free pyramid of 100, 200, 300, 400, 400, 300, 200,100 with each 100 on the 2:00. And an extra 30 sec rest after the first 400.3 -

2000m - felt good to do more than my standard 1000m for first time in a while.
250m back stroke in there which was fun!! didn't hit my head or bash my hand or hit anyone else, so am classing that as a win.1 -

in which I decimated my mate (all friendly competition ) and did 2 lengths under water!! we got 10 breaths in the middle, so I was doing really slow pilates style breathing and made it all the way back with the brick!!! feel fan-frickin-tastic!!1 -

Back Home after a week of Travel for work. It would be 7-8 pm each night before getting back to the Hotel so to late for an evening run outside since there were no sidewalks or trails and the roads were just to dangerous - no street lights and heavy ( Big ) truck traffic. I despise dreadmills - especially Hotel ones.
Tried the pool one night and it was a uncontrolled disaster - lane ropes were a suggestion. People would swim under them crossways, sit on top of them etc. After "swimming" into 6-7 people who mysteriously appeared in the middle of the lane I gave up. Made me think of @fishgutzy and some of his China experiences.
Back in the local pool tonight with adult swim club. 1850m

Had a two day side trip out to western China. Chongqing. To me it sounds like King Kong backwards.

My youngest has started high school swim team and they could not have chosen a pool farther from my house. OK, that's an exaggeration, but good grief. They practice 7-9pm, so instead of leaving work, swimming, and then going home for the night, I go home, make dinner, eat something small, drive to the other side of town, swim and bring her home. Tonight, she actually swims at a pool even farther out, so she'll take the bus and I'll swim at my usual pool. I decided to buy in to the pool she swims most often at and went last night. It was pretty good. They have a much better hot tub than we do, lol. So, 40 laps for last night. High hopes for tonight...2
