Congrats, Jodi. You've really made HUGE progress in a short period of time.Alright, Warrior Women, I put one of my old videos up on youtube for you!

Ooh, I haven't watched yet, but as soon as I have a few free minutes where I can watch YouTube and am not falling asleep! Looking forward to it.How's everyone doing on their fitness goals? This is my first day back from my diet break and it's going pretty well. I still need to burn more calories, but I'm well below my calorie goal. I decided to go for a 20% deficit & to burn at least 3600 calories/week.
I keep playing with the idea of doing TDEE, but my cardio varies too much day by day, I think.
I'm rushing about this week trying to make my biking goal for the month (helped by another challenge I'm doing). My big running goal (which I didn't even post here, because I was so unsure of my ability to complete it) was the half marathon I completed on Sunday (now I can work on improving my time!). My other main goal was the "try a new thing every week," which I've been inconsistent with, but I did work in a pilates class and start yoga based on that, and the race counts, so that's not bad. I'm definitely going to try to focus more on this next month, though--some new things I thought about doing and did not get around to are trying some new biking trails (I've been in a rut) and joining some group runs.
Strength training, eh--I found a program, but it was too much on top of everything else, so I'm working with a trainer at my club on my strength training that complements my running, which actually involves many of the same exercises. So that's on the back burner for a bit. Push-ups I have not been consistent with at all, oh well.
I think my goal for September is going to be getting back to swimming more, as well as to try and work out a good way to balance running and biking--I tend to concentrate on one or the other.
I've also been really consistent about working out 6 days per week. Back around Easter I remember trying to make my 5 days a week goal seemed impossible to do consistently, so this has really been quite a change.0 -
These were my August goals:
1) Do yoga daily.
2) Walk at least 7500 steps/day, 6 days/week.
3) Do circuit training class twice/week.
4) Lift weights twice/week.
5) Have as many spontaneous dance parties as possible;)
I only achieved #'s 2 & 5! Boy, I really sucked at keeping to my fitness goals this month. I think the move and the diet break really threw me off. I should do better in September. I don't know if you guys want to keep this thing going. It's been pretty quiet here, but I'll go ahead and start a September thread...0 -
I'm in for September. Even when this is quiet (wish more people would jump in!) I find this challenge really motivating and it's nice just to have a place to chat about various topics in more depth.0
