*****YOUR MODERATOR HERE, JUST AN FYI FOR THE WEEK - THE FINAL WEEK OF THE MONTH ACTUALLY SHOULD BE GOING UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30TH. WE WILL BE POSTING THE FINAL SCORES ON THAT DAY*****

Challenge for the week: burn 2800 calories (400 per day) and EM (Extea Movement) The object of this challenge is EVERY time you achieve an EXTRA MOVEMENT, you get a point! You could get endless points, by taking stairs instead of the elevator, parking at the furthest parking place, walking to the mailbox, going around a building BEFORE and AFTER you arrive (two points) this challenge is to keep you moving!!!!!!!!! To WIN you have to get 2800 calories for the week PLUS the MOST EM!

FOR THIS WEEK, your calorie burn is NOT your main concern. Move move move! Let's have some fun with this, be creative with this! Good luck!

*If you DON'T normally take a walk, do it! You get a higher calorie burn PLUS the EM point!

    i have a question!.......
    just for clarification, we are not counting the calories per se, of our 'extra movement' but rather giving ourselves 1 point for each time we do this?
    an example for me....i walked to the gym as opposed to driving. do i count 1 point to and 1 point from OR do i simply give myself 1 point for the day? (so ultimately getting a total of 7 points for the week)
    sorry,,,,,i just want to make sure im doing the challenge correctly!

    You would get TWO points for that! Each day YOU COULD accumulate AS many extra points! As the week progresses you just keep tack on points! I hope that helps!

    09/15 Day 1: 775 calories burned (T25 and ex bike) + 6 EM pts (back & forth to the school office twice instead of paging (2pts), carried the water cooler full of water instead letting the older new lady do it(1pt), walked my cart back to the store instead of parking it outside (1 pt)and offered to run upstairs to get laundry instead of another doing it (2pts).

    For EMs I will :
    1) park far
    2) usually I make a pile of things that need to go upstairs and take them all in 1 trip. I will take them upstairs as I find them for more trips
    3) Get up from the computer to get things I usually have the kids grab
    4) misc things I think of

    Scratching my head... I REALLY do have to be Creative, I am required to park further away at my job, so customers have better spots, and I run up and down stairs several times a day at work and home. I Need to see if cable still has free exercise shows on demand, because I have no money for Gym, or extra classes.
