    Can't seem to get my ticker to work this month, anyone else having that issue?

    Not sure what the problem is...other people are able to post tickers from Ticker Factory so my guess is you'll have to create another. Or go to LilySlim.com and create one there. People seem to have way* less trouble with those. Plus since you can sign in to your account, you can update it from *ANY* device or computer that you can get to a web browser with, not just the one you created it on.

    Not to be too large of a stick in the mud or crazy weird purple dinosaur beast ( >:) ), you know that special admin skill of being able to edit a post forever (instead of just for the 1 hour period)... well.... that appears to be gone. :\ So much for our special ninja skills. :s
    I see that right underneath our name to the left here, it shows us as "Member" rather than "Leader/Admin" (like it does on the the Group's home page) so I suspect that this is still something to get ironed out shortly and we'll get our ninja powers back. :smiley:

    Ok, I guess I know now why everything was whacky yesterday. Fabulous walk on the beach yesterday and another this morning puts me at 21. Slowly catching up. yeah, where are those glasses of beer when you need them. :'(

    Glad the boards are back. Anyone know of a way to see the old "my topics" part? It took a lot of steps to go through groups to get here.

    Anyway, yesterday was 3.2 miles of running/walking. I actually went under 10 mins for the mile. It didn't feel too good, but I did it. Just one of those things I wanted to do/try/see the numbers

    exercise.png

    My suggestion is to go to the Group's home page at the link below and bookmark it with your browser. Then just click on the thread title and it will take you right to the start of your "unread" messages and you'll be able to post from there. :)

    Thanks. I hope they fix the access to groups soon. And I'd like to be able to see my ticker. Besides liking it, it makes it easier for me to find my own posts in any thread.

    Went out for 4.2 miles running/walking. Would have added another tenth of a mile getting my mail, but the felon neighbor across the street who broke into the house next to me last year (and went through my yard to do it) beat me to the mailbox and was taking her sweet time, so I had to reroute to avoid a face-to-face.

    Big Thanks to Janet - I tried a million (exaggeration) ways to try and find the group. My 'group page' didn't have a search button. I've bookmarked - so hopefully I'll not lose it again!!

    Another 2 mile beach walk. Getting closer to the green. Have a longer run scheduled for tomorrow that should get me back on track.

    I'm not having trouble finding this group but based on the comments others have left I think there are functions they use that I am clueless about. I haven't been able to find my posts in these threads since we converted to a group.

    Yeah, I saw something in the article about weight loss tickers no longer showing in the forum post signatures, but don't recall if it was permanent or temporary. Here is a link to the article about the forum update:

    Good to know...thanks, Chris!! Honestly I never used the smiley tool bar any longer. I had long been typing the word in colons just because it was faster for me. Good to know that still works!!! :bigsmile:

    Too busy today to get a lunch walk in, but I went out for a 3.8 mile power walk this evening to clear my mind while I prepare for a big presentation tomorrow. Going to a remote office to present our Wellness program to a group of new employees and how all the different devices, smartphone apps and websites work with the program. I *know* I know this stuff and am able to talk about this stuff in my sleep (or one-on-one in person for hours on end without tiring)......but still....I am a software engineer and I get intensely nervous speaking in front of large groups. :ohwell: Honestly though, I'm actually more nervous now while I panic about what I'm going to say or the order I'm going to say it. I doubt anyone will be able to tell that I'm nervous tomorrow because when I'm "on", I somehow manage to pull it out of my *ss and do okay. *deep breaths*

    You've got this, Dave. We all know that. But, if you need it, a breathing technique I was taught (and it works) is to breathe in through your nose while counting to 4, and expanding your belly, hold it for a count of 7, then breathe out through your pursed lips to a count of 8. Do at least two of these in a row. :flowerforyou:

    You can do this, Darkrider. Remember, you are a software engineer...this group is only going to understand one fourth of what you say to them but they will nod their heads the entire time as if they get it all! They will squint their eyes and push out their bottom lip as they nod in agreement. Ya just gotta promise not to laugh. 2thumbs.gif

    You'll have a great day!

    =============================
    SPREADSHEET UPDATED TO HERE

    See (but not edit) the
    spreadsheet here:

    =============================

    KAR328 – congrats on your sub 10 minute mile… even if was difficult, it’s always good to push yourself. If you’re interested, the way I’ve found success in decreasing my per mile time is doing interval training. If I’m used to running 10 min/mile, run that pace for .9 miles, and then run .1 in 9:30. Do that a few times, and then increase to two intervals of .1 at 9:30 time, and then slowly just increase either the number of intervals or the length of the interval, etc. Pretty soon, you’ll be able to run half a mile at the 9:30 pace, etc.

    GRANDMAJACKIE – Good luck on your half marathon!!

    DAVE – best of luck tomorrow!!
