I hate when weekends are over, especially when they were so awesome!!!

Friday-1 vanilla vodka with apple cider, 2 manhattans and 1 glass of wine
Saturday-1 beer and 2 glasses of champagne at brunch at my parents after the 5k, 2 beers, and a mix of red bull and vodka and jack and cokes. The Weezer show was outrageous. Wish I could do it all over again.
Sunday-we stopped for lunch at Rock Bottom had 1 beer, then 3 vanilla vodkas and cider, 1/2 beer and 1 glass of wine.
Don't feel too horrible today but I am looking forward to drying out tonight!!!!

I cannot get this to bookmark. MFP is kind of pissing me off recently and not working like I want it too. BOO!!

Today is probably the start of a very lushy couple of months. Not to mention that the holidays are coming up, but at work our receptionist is on maternity leave until 2015 so we are stuck with our runner who is not the brightest individual (I would feel bad about disliking him so much, but I honestly cannot help it). So, today is day 1 and my co-worker (the other paralegal) is gone because her daughter is sick...and my other co-worker (who is our office administrator) has to leave at 2pm. It'll be ok, but I just don't want to be left with the one person I cannot stand! UGH!! I may need some wine or beer this evening!!

Syd, you can do it! I didn't have as lushy of a weekend as I thought I would..which is pretty ok with me because I woke up without hangovers on both Saturday AND Sunday morning...that rarely happens! LOL

Tonight I will be picking up some wine on my way home from work. Today has been a day from Hell. Oh well, I've picked up a lot of steps on my fitbit because I'm running around work like a chicken with my head cut off. Only 2 more hours!!!

Time for some drying out for me as well! Drank pretty steadily this 4 day weekend getting ready for Jack's 1st birthday Sunday. It was a great day, everyone had a fabulous time. I hate to brag, but I do know how to throw a good party.

I'm going to shoot for zeros until Friday!

    Hi all,

Just checking in. I see everyone has been busy. I can't even believe that Halloween is Friday. Still not sure if we'll have people over or not. I actually had a zero both yesterday and today. Granted yesterday was a zero because I had the most serious case of wine flu but still. Yes, I said wine flu, haha, it's not a hangover, it's wine flu. I also worked out today so I'm hoping to get back into a groove. If I don't check in for Halloween I hope everyone has a fun day/night :)

HA Kat, my SIL calls it Irish Flu

    Monday-0
    Tuesday-0
Wednesday-0. Len is traveling again for work until friday. Which usually = wine but I haven't been feeling too hot...allergies or something...and I have missed my workouts all week, so I may opt out of wine since I feel like a slug!!!!!!!!!

yesterday was a bit too much red wine. I have been slowly going thru 15 years worth of paper that has built up in our home office/junk room. It is a tedious process but I feel good about getting it done. we have too shredders and Doug and I are going to start shredding mounds of paper on Saturday. Happy first to Jack. Time sure flies. I go to the doc today so that he can say I am good to go back to work. I have to go back because this 4 weeks of is most likely going to be unpaid. And I can't afford any more time away. I was hoping for disability but my doc didn't give them "enough" information to approve it. It is all good. the time really helped me get back some of my sense of self. I think I can plow on from here. I hope anyway.

Good to see people checking in!
I had wine as I thought I would but didn't over indulge.
80 degree temps here today so I think I'll hit the gym then pool for a swim.
It'll finally feel like fall here this weekend with rain and cool temps.

Wine yesterday but got in some great exercise. I'm super sore today but it feels good to know I worked so hard.
Probably more of the same today.

    You can do it, Robin!
I actually refrained last night. I almost stopped for a box of wine but I said no. My 21-day Clutch workout starts Saturday so I don't need to keep anything around to tempt me. I have been pretty much eating what I want-or walking to the starting line, as I like to think. Fried Chicken Tuesday, Spaghetti Monday, made pizza rolls last night!
    but
    Wed=0 drinks
Today is happy hour so there will be drinks!

Kate, irish flu works for me too since I am indeed irish.

    Monday - 0
    Tuesday - 0
    Wednesday - 0

Those are the first 0's I've seen in a very long time and it feels good. Not sure about today, my friend Eve is coming over and we usually have prosecco or red wine so we'll see.

Having some coffee now and then heading up for a work out.

Thursday-well I poured my 8oz glass of wine, then decided to have another small glass. The box was low so I decided just to finish it off...turns out it was 12oz :noway:  so I have 20oz of wine last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lenny comes home from his seminar this after noon and is getting dropped off at my work. So we will head home, get the candy together, put it out, then head to our fav place for a nice long dinner and beers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it's kind of d!cky not to actually hand it out but honestly we find it annoying so...we are d!cks

    Sunday, 0
Monday, 5 Vodka, 3 red wine
    Tuesday, 0
    Wednesday, 2 red wine
    Thursday, 0
    Friday, 0
Saturday, ??? - probably a bottle of wine

    Total: 10 thus far.

I am not liking this new format - I've highlighted the star but unable to see current threads. What could I be doing wrong?

Kate, those boxes of wine are tricky, indeed.

Mama, stay strong and keep pushing forward when you can.

Happy Halloween All. This will be a lame one for sure since I have to work tomorrow. I have not been organized enough to decorate either. Just isn't happening this year.

Happy Halloween everyone! I drank a little more than planned last night because the husband and I set up a new desktop computer and well....I needed a cocktail. We don't always have the same way of tackling projects. :D
I would love to copy Kate's plan of just leaving candy out and going somewhere. Our neighborhood has changed a lot...not many cute little ones anymore. Or maybe I've just become an ol' Halloween scrooge.
We are actually expecting rain this weekend...we NEED it! So not sure what we'll do. Maybe a movie and dinner?
    Enjoy your weekend everyone!! :drinker:

    Happy Halloween indeed!
Last night we went out and I had a glass of red, a vodka soda and two beers, came home and had one beer, proud of myself, so I wasn't feeling too awful today.
Our party tonight starts at 9pm, so I will hand out candy for awhile.
I don't know how long a bowl with "please take one" sign would last, I think most people would be respectful, or be supervised, but I don't know...

Amy, I used to worry about that, but most of the early comers are little kids with parents, and if the big kids wanna be douches and take all the candy later, I'm ok with that. Our neighborhood has set times for trick or treating, 6-9, I love that!!! No late knockers

Blessed Samhain to all my dear lushes.
I have my counselling apt tonight at 5:00. We don't hand out either because the doorbell drives the dogs to bezerkdom. If it isn't raining I will put out candy, if it is then I won't. It is pouring right now. I had a couple of very tiny vodka's last night. I measured what I had been pouring in a glass and it wasn't even an ounce. So three of them weren't much on the vodka front. I am hoping to do a ritual tonight. Doug and I need some spiritual cleansing for the new year.

Kat good job on the zeros. :flowerforyou:
Amy have a great party
Syd I don't approach things the way Doug does and I need a drink any time we tackle a project. :drinker:
Kim you are excused, new house and all
Kate I really have to be careful with boxes. that last pour can be so much more when you open the box and cut the bag and get every last frickin drop.

    Later Lushes!
