I just went and bought a fitbit zip the other day. So far I love it because it keeps track of everything, however, I am still getting used to it syncing with myfitnesspal.0

I have had my Fitbit Zip for a while, but don't walk nearly enough. Hoping the changes I'm making in the New Year will change that. Feel free to add me: https://www.fitbit.com/user/2WKVYL0

Just got mine today, set it up and I'm now wearing it. Very excited for the motivation. Does anyone have any hints, tips etc on how it works for you, or what to/not to do? Much appreciated. https://www.fitbit.com/user/34V7WG0

I got my FitBit for Christmas, enjoyed my 2 week break (I'm a teacher), and now I'm back at work and motivated! Feel free to add me! https://www.fitbit.com/user/2ZZ7TR
As far as the question msanybody asked, I use it to motivate me. My goal for now is 10,000 steps a day. I make mini-goals throughout the day, like 5000 steps before noon, etc. As I go throughout my day teaching, I push myself to do 1500-2000 steps a class. I'm finding it's a great motivator. Once I have some more friends, I am looking forward to doing the challenges.0 -

I'm 30, work an office job but walk at lunchtime, hike on the weekends, and have a goal of hitting an AVERAGE of 10k per day for each month of 2015. I do have my Fitbit and MFP profiles connected, but I don't sync the steps because I really don't like when it decreases my allotted calories before my lunchtime walk - it triggers bad thoughts about how many calories I "deserve." So the way I have it set up, I sometimes get extra calories but never get fewer than the "lightly active" setting. If you'd like to add me as a friend, I'm at: https://www.fitbit.com/user/23QSTQ0

For those who have trouble finding their steps in the MFP app (stevendudley1961, Churchbell06), there's actually a second step to the sync. The first step where you connect the accounts (which you've already done) will allow MFP to adjust your daily calories higher (but not lower) based on your total calories used according to Fitbit if it goes over the calorie estimate MFP uses for the setting you've chosen for your activity level. If you want to see your steps in MFP and allow MFP to adjust your calories up AND down depending on how many steps you've taken that day, launch the MFP app, look for Apps and Devices in the menu, and select Fitbit Tracker. That lets it sync all the detailed information to MFP.
I also find that adding my weight in Fitbit updates it in MFP, but not the other way around. For reference, I've done the first step but revoked the second step because I didn't like it, personally.0 -

I've had my Fitbit since August. My father got one in December and we seem to be in a DEATH MATCH to see who can win. So I am trying to get 13,000-18,000 steps most days. I have a sedentary job, so this is quite the trick!0 -
