a garden salad with some leftover chicken breast thrown in,

That is like a whole days food intake for me. I am seriously not a big eater, unless it is tacos or spaghetti squash.0 -

It was easy. Scrape the gills out of the portabella, then fill with your favorite pizza toppings (in this case tomato sauce, fresh mozz, pepperoni and some fresh basil). Put on a cookie tray and pop in the oven for about 15 minutes at 350 (or until the portabella starts to sag). You pretty much have to eat it with a fork - but it tastes like you swiped the good parts off of everybody else's slice!0 -
Yeah, my mom used to do that all the time with english muffins when I was little. I will totally have to do this for Grace one day!0

Well, I *am* a big guy! (But getting smaller...)
Actually, if I recall, that meal was only 600-800 calories, There's a LOT of high-volume, low density veg/fruit there. My wife and I tend to eat light all day and then make a regular dinner - it's much more satisfying, and we can focus more on cooking 'right' than worrying about portion control.
Besides, Grok's eating style was 'feast or famine' - a couple of days hitting the berries and leaves until he could make a kill. Three Squares a Day is a modern invention.0 -

That is a GORGEOUS meal, monkeydharma. And I tend to eat the same way as you and your wife - very lightly during the day, and most of my calories in a big dinner.0 -

What I think is so interesting is that a lot of Primal-Paleo people (say that 3x fast!!) seem to have big dinners. And yet they are still losing weight!!
All those calories that close to bedtime will just make you fat!!! (LOL!) Yet another myth proved false by the Primal-Paleo lifestyle0 -
