I agree about the Twilight books being much better than the movies! And the Left Behind Series is a really good one! I want to read through it again since the first time I read it I was in high school!

The Dresden Files series, by Jim Butcher

The Harry Potter series, by J.K. Rowling

The first 6 books of The Last Vampire series, by Christopher Pike (they're now called the "Thirst" series, with a few more books added on...they're good, but not as good as the first original 6)

Select books from the Sword of Truth series, by Terry Goodkind

The Fear Street Sagas, by R.L. Stine. Not the teeny romance drama Fear Street SERIES, but the actual Sagas...the ones that are more adult-themed with the stories that take place in the past, not present-day high schools.

just finished the Dark Tower Series, and I probably am going to need to re-read it several times to fully digest it all. No spoiling, but the end left me reeling. :noway:

Not a big series-reader as much, so I'll list my other favorites:

    The Stand
    East of Eden
    Old Man and the Sea
    Grapes of Wrath
    Peace Like a River
    Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius

    Yay for reading!!

I'm currently into King's new book, 11/22/63, which I'm enjoying thoroughly!!

I keep wanting to read Old Man and the Sea...I think my boyfriend would like it, as well, from what I've heard others say about it. I think I may pick it up next time I have a giftcard to B&N.

Have you read the Iron King series? I worked with a summer reading program for teens this summer so I was reading a lot of YA books. I picked up the first book even though I'm not a fantasy fan but loved it! Ended up reading all 3, and a 4th just came out last month. It also has a good romance story to it.
