Good run. I totally get the hill thing. They become your friends. Challenging friends that make you bring out your best.0

I remember you told me that about hills when I was doing C25K. i didn't believe you then, but they certainly don't scare me anymore. Now I say bring it on.0 -
Wednesday morning before I crawled out of bed I had the "how important are hills anyway" conversation in my head, mostly because I was feeling lazy about it. Then I remembered passing people on the hill in my 5K race and how good that felt. Yep, hills are important. It's also nice to circle back periodically to a hill I don't run very often to see the progress - still out of breath at the top, but not as much as last time.0

W5D3 complete.
4.55 miles in 57:18 (avg pace 12:35)
1:00 - 12:30
2:00 - 12:41
3:00 - 12:29
4:00 - 12:43
4.55 - 12:29
Last Saturday I ran 4.00 @ 12:50, so very happy with today's run. When I hit 4 miles I briefly thought "oh I can go for 5" but by 4.25 miles I knew that wasn't going to happen. Instead I just ran to the end of the block after I hit 4.5 miles. Deliberately ran out further than half-way, then made a last minute route change, so I finished up over a mile from home which gave me a nice long cool-down walk.0 -

I think you made the right choice for then. And I think you're making the right choice now too.0
