Hi all, I'm Jennifer. About to turn 55 and mom to 2 teenagers. I homeschool and I am with them all day while they eat, and eat and eat. Clearly I don't have the same metabolism they do. I joined mfp last spring and lost about 9 lbs over the summer. But I put it all back on plus a little more last fall. Started again Dec 27. Would love to have some moms to share the journey with.

Hi Jennifer! I have littles (2yo and 7yo) and it is so tough to not finish the meals "we've paid good money for" that they leave on their plates.
I'm using MFP as a way to keep me accountable to not finish EVERYONE'S dinner. :-)

    Hi! Im Katie.

I have 2 kids, a 34 month old boy and a 15 month old girl. I lost the baby weight easily after my oldest but haven't dropped a pound from the day I gave birth to my second. Every time I tried I lost my breastmilk instead. I weaned her a few days ago so now I'm here and losing weight. Ideally I'd like to lose 10 to 15 by July 20 (return to work) but overall I want to lose 20 lb. We are debating between a 3rd child... and can't seem to settle on a decision. Some days I want the excitement of another. But some days I'm just too tired and don't feel like I'm doing a good enough job with the 2 I have (too much tv). I also don't like being pregnant at all despite smooth pregnancies. I feel very uncomfortable in my skin. But I digress.

I am 31, married and live in Canada. Looking for an active group to do this with. It really helps keep me motivated to read about how others are doing.

In 2016 I started an mfp group called Planning for Pregnancy. I have a Google Spreadsheet that ladies were using to track their progress but it has gotten really quiet since I had my second baby. There is really only one other active member and I'm the only one using the spreadsheet... i feel lonely in there. Would anyone like to join it?

Here is the link... use the "sign up" tab to put you starting info... and the "logging" tab to keep track beside your name. There are little progress meters too in another tab lol. I clear the spreadsheet at the start of each month so just sign up any time.

My name is Ashton. I'm 31 abs have a 5 year old son. I've been doing workout videos on YouTube for at least two years, last year was really on and off. This year I've been doing better. I've recently started running again. Im currently off social media, no Instagram or Facebook. I just can't handle all the negativity so I decided to give MFP another go. I need the motivation and positivity!

Hi ladies. My name is Angie. I'm from Kentucky. I've been married to my best friend for almost 19 years. I have an 18 year old son and an almost 8 year old daughter. I work in a very busy vet clinic for 10 - 12 hours a day. I joined a coed softball team for the first time a couple weeks ago so between work, my practices and games and my daughter's softball practices and games I am a very busy mom. I end up eating very late at night and not much during the day. I am struggling with my eating habits and my energy level along with my weight. My ultimate goal is to lose 50 lbs but short term goals are to lose 10 lbs and get into some better habits.

Returning to MFP after having my first child in December. I lost some of the baby weight initially, then the 4 month sleep regression hit and it destroyed me, my appetite, and my weight. The stress of being a new parent during the pandemic has also made it difficult. I am an emotional/stress eater, and worrying about the health of my baby and family has taken it's toll on my mental health. I'm hopeful though and know that the best thing I can do for my child is take care of myself. I am 33 years old, currently weigh 233 with a goal weight of 175. Feel free to add me if you'd like to share your journey!

    Hi Everyone!

Starting MFP again. I lost a good amount of weight to have a baby. I had our beautiful girl in March of 2020. Thanks to postpartum and pandemic, I've gained it back and then some.

    Looking for friends and motivators!

Best wishes to you all 💪

    Hi everyone,
My name is Jen, working mom of three kids (ages 19, 16, and 12). As I get closer to 50 and am feeling the aches and pains of my late 40's, I'm here to manage my weight in order to support my body and health. Honestly, I want to lose weight because I want to manage my life differently. I've been a person who overworks and then my only entertainment and relaxation is food, eating, and dining out. My goal is to manage my life and stress in new ways other than food. My goal is to lose and maintain the loss, even with life's continued changes. That's why I'm here. I'm looking to participate on MFP to have conversations, to connect with like minded people of all ages. Please add me if you would like to connect. All the best!

Hi everyone, I'm new to MFP. I'm a mama to two boys (2yo and 9wo) and two furbabies (also boys!). I've been off the bandwagon for awhile now with COVID shutting down my gym and being pregnant, but I'm ready to jump back on and start getting back down to my pre-baby weight. I've gained about 100lbs between both babies and COVID so I think slow and steady is going to be my plan.

Hey everyone! Newbie here. Mom of 3 girls (10, 9, and 4 months). This last baby really messed me up both physically and emotionally so I’m just trying to get back to my regular self. I was at 195 before I had my last one and after having her I dropped down to 165, looking to get to 125 which was what I was at before being pregnant. (:

Hello! I'm in a similar boat. 4 month old, 3 year old and almost 5 year old. Been thinking of losing the baby weight but every time I try I binge in the evenings. How is 2000 calories a day still not feeling like enough!? I probably need to sleep more... but who is doing that. I've actually been gaining weight since giving birth. It feels messed up. Looking for active mothers to help us stay on track together... will you ladies be here often?

I used to run a group with a spreadsheet and challenges and what not... I could share it if anyone is interested. I'm struggling alone. My husband said I should just wait till she is weaned but I might want one more so I'd like to lose it by September if possible..

    Hey,

I've been on mfp for a while now. I struggle with keeping my weight consistent. I was 298lbswhen I decided it was time to change my health. I was 281lbs when I joined MFP. I managed to get down to 220lbs, but it took so much work and I felt like I couldn't have any cheat days. I disappeared for about 3 months and cameback at 255lbs. I stayed focused till i was 212lbs. I stayed at that weight for about 3months, no matter what i did. I just wanted out of the 200s, so i found it so discouraging. I was at a much healthier place. This time last year i was walking 7k at least 5 days a week. But starting last September i had a very stressful year. My then 4yr old daughter started junior kindergarten, i went to school to become a Medical Lab Technician, in December my mother was hospitalized andin February she lost her battle with cancer. It was so busy and extremely stressful. I came back Aug 8th, weighing in at 265.8lbs.

I need to learn to lose and maintain.

    Hello,
I'm Andrea and the mom of a 7 and 4 year old girls. I used MFP in my 20s to get to my goal weight and want to do it again. I'm a high school math teacher and trying to find time for school, moming, and time to take care of myself is difficult. I'm looking for friends to connect with so I come back to MFP everyday to stay on track.

Hey, y’all, I see there’s not a lot of activity on here so we will see how this goes. New to the app and a married mom here. I started at 360 pounds in August of 2021. I found this out when I woke up from my coma and they had weighed me while I was unconscious. I had 2 strokes in 2020 and due to immobility I had put on almost 100 pounds and did Not even know it!

I had a medication change in Feb of 2022 and due to this change (not a med we thought would cause this) I had a Major decrease in appetite and lost the craving for all junk food.

I started dropping weight like crazy, without even trying. I physically was unable to exercise due to being disabled due to the major health issues and the weight was dropping off. I was weighed at the doctor the other day and I am now 211 and I have fluctuated between 210-215 for about 5 months now. I am Super proud of how far I’ve come, but At 5’1” I am Still morbidly obese and have a LONG way to go!!

I am more mobile now than I have Ever been, so my appetite has increased, but not by a massive amount. I am off the majority of the medications I used to be on. IE: all blood presssure, cholesterol, All diabetic (was on pills, extended insulin, and pre-meal). So I watch my carb intake as much as I can. Once a diabetic… you have to watch it and it runs on Both sides of my family.

I am eager to due this and would Love the extra support!! I have a few health complications that make the dietary issues a struggle and I get easily Frustrated. Most in my Immediate him are obese and not too supportive as they shovel junk food in their face. Outside family live in other states, but if they talk about weight issues: it’s mix of shaming and then advice that is impossible to follow! Ex: well you should do more exercise/cardio, get your heart rate up (I was wheelchair bound for 8 months). OR I have these amazing supplements or some drink that’s $89 a bottle or $399 a month for subscription, it’s amazing and burns the fat! (Ummm I can’t afford your snake oil that’s not even guaranteed to work. You say it worked for you, but you only had 30 pounds to lose, Not over 100 AND you changed your diet and excercised along with taking your outrageously priced product! Which really worked, the product or the Life change??) sorry I don’t need to support their latest MLM they’re trying to do.

I would Love REAL support!! Hoping to find some
