I make my own muesli, cos i had a lot of trouble finding one low in sugar. mine current version has oats, nuts, seeds and finely chopped dried cranberries and crystallized ginger. i have a small about (50g) with yoghurt and milk. there are heaps of recipes on the web for raw and baked muesli, or just experiment.0

I find it difficult to eat breakfast. I didn't for years but then had babies and being pregnant made me feel obligated to have breakfast to start the day for the nutrition. For breakfast I usually have something like:
-poached egg on a piece of toast.
-up-and-go.
-one egg and fruit.
And always a coffee with it.
I don't do cereal, I can't face it in the morning, though every now and then have porridge.0 -
Yeah it is great, and low in calories as well. I don't bother with marj/butter, and just have some chutney instead.2 poached eggs on a slice of wholemeal toast. I sometimes add 97% fat free ham, Beerenberg hot tomato chutney and mushrooms
Oh how good is the beerenberg stuff! I took a trip up there a couple of weeks ago and had to fight myself not to buy dozens of bottles . Love their chutneys...0 -
Can't believe that no-one else in this group has said vegemite toast! That and a boiled egg ...
Edit - oops just noticed LimeSlime's post ...0 -
Vegemite on vitawheats in the car on the way to work
I have only just started eating breakfast since being on MFP
And I can't bear getting up any earlier to make breakfast!0 -
Carmans - Classic Fruit Muesli with some skim milk. Best cereal ever.0

I usually start out with some fruit (while my husband has an early brekkie before he goes to work). Most days I workout once he has left for work, then have my second breakfast - most often porridge with peanut butter and apple or banana.
On weekends we usually cook eggs, or it might be toasties with cheese/tomato/avocado or just a muesli bar and an apple if we are really on the run. Be Natural muesli bars are my favourite.
My favourite pre-long-run breakfast is a fruit muffin with peanut butter and banana.0 -
I used to be a cereal fanatic, but after starting to watch my calories I have steered clear of my favs because i go a little crazy.
I now cycle between the following dependant on how I feel:
- oats with skim milk, cinnamon, vanilla essence and honey/stevia sugar.
- two eggs and two sanitarium "vege sausages" in a can (i know " eww IN A CAN!!) but they are awesome!! (to me anyway )
- two mountain bread slices with some penut butter and a little honey (naughty I know, but awesome!)0 -
Well I used to be addicted to Subway bacon and egg but have traded it in for a poached egg on toast using my microwave container and making everyone jealous of it at work (can't eat when I first get up).0

I found these great mueslis at a deli. They're called "The Muesli" (97% sugar free) and I have 25gms of it mixed with 25gms of "Chia Seed Blend" and a big spoon of Jalna yoghurt. It doesn't look like much in the bowl, but it REALLY keeps me going without any hunger for a good three hours afterwards.0

On weekdays I combine pea protein powder with 1tbsp ground flaxseeds, 1tbsp of ground chia seeds and water. On weekends I try to enjoy my breakfasts a little more so it is usually eggs of some description - either poached and served with a little hollandaise (the sauce of the gods) or an omelette filled to bursting with mushrooms, capsicum, baby spinach, tomatoes etc. Yum0

I have a problem. Seriously, its close to an addiction. I LOVE CEREAL! I could eat it all day... And i have done so in the past lol
My usual breakfast is Uncle Tobys "PLUS" range. At the moment it is the "Antioxident Lift"
To be honest, i thought i was doing the right thing! Whoops... Didn't even think of the sugar content.0 -
I alternate between these:

Most days I have peach and pecan muesli with milk. Other breakfasts might be leftovers, 'Lily eggs' (microwaved scrambled eggs with dry garlic flakes - the original 'recipe' made by my now 10yo niece has bratwurst as well), porridge or course burgal with milk, chia seeds and brown sugar.0

I used to eat breakfast religiously - some sort of cereal but I now follow IF and don't eat until midday - this is really working for me.0

I tried for a week but decided to give up on any and all kind of cereals/oat-meal/bran.... raised fasting blood sugars to unacceptable levels. I'm back on 2 eggs, slice of Burgen grains bread, couple of slices of turkey or chicken cold cuts or some bacon..and grape fruit or lump or two of frozen berries.0

Right now I am obsessed with oatmeal. I prepare it the night before. I just put 50gm oatmeal with water in the fridge.
I am currently trailing some LorAnn Oils ultra strength concentrated flavourings. I tried chocolate hazelnut this morning which was okay but not that great. I think I should have added more of it!
Tomorrow I will try vanilla butternut It smells so yum! I mix in about 1ml of it with some natural sweetener.0 -
I have muesli and milk usually.0
-
-weight-wise oats, flaxseeds, cinnamon, honey and some chopped almonds and apricots

Homemade Wholemeal English muffin and a boiled egg with sea salt and pepper. No marg or butter, just that. And a coffee. Cause I would die otherwise0
-
i usually have 1.5cups of skim milk thrown in the blender with a whole banana and scoop of protein powder and a few cubes of ice. Then i drink it on the drive to work.
Sometimes i also add berries and or 1/4 cup of rolled oats or 1 tbs of chia seeds which i stir in after blending so they don't get stuck in the blender.
I used to do a green protein smoothie but right now i'm kind of over them.0 -
