    .

    And....I asked if I was a cougar..........was told by a guy that
    a. you can't be a cougar until you are 45-50........so I am a "puma"
    b. boy needs to be under 25 to qualify

Technically, to be a cougar you have to be at least 15 years older than your guy. Puma is when he's about 10 years younger. I used to work in the porn industry, and for them it soon became if you were over 30 you were a "MILF" or "Cougar" regardless. I always figured I couldn't be a cougar until I could legally date someone 15 years younger, I can date someone who is 20 though I don't really want to so no Cougar time for me yet. And there are a lot of "cougar hunter" guys online. A lot of young guys, often early 20's, who say they prefer older women because "they know what they want", basically they are more free and experienced in bed and not really into catty bull****. The problem is only there if the woman does want to get married and have kids before her time is up, the guy is not ready for that. So he may waste a couple years with her (the last of her childbearing years) only to leave when he's finally ready for that step. Not always. Not all cougar types will want kids or are in a hurry so no biggy, or the guy is super mature and ready to go that way anyway.

Two corresponding questions would be... how many people do you know that are happily married/in LTRs who "twirled" on their first date...? I don't know of anyone who is, but that might not be something I'd know about them.

OMG OMG OMG!! I've not been around for a couple of days and miss this!!!

So, a) yes, totally can see someone in my future that I got twirly with straight away. In fact the love of my life was my first twirly and even thought it didnt work out, I have no regrets. If the chemistry is that intense then you gotta live it! And I've never felt that kind of passion with anyone before, or since...

    b) the age gap isn't too terrible. I've known at least 4 couples with 15 year gaps. And I've dated younger men. Just enjoy it. Life is far too short to worry about practicalites!! Seeing as 1 in 3 people get divorced for whatever reason, the chances are that you'll create other reasons beyond age, or it might just work forever!!! Who knows?

I'm so excited for you. Keep us posted :flowerforyou:

I'm not really a twirl on the first date kind of girl, but yes, if the chemistry is right and it happens, then why not? Never say never to anything in life.

@Helovesme87... Something tells me there is a story here, so spill it, please

LOL .. there may be a story ... there may be a GREAT story. :smokin:

Well a week or so ago you were telling us you wanted to add a random hook up to your bucket list. Can we assume you've crossed that off now?

He is the most amazing, sweet, thoughtful, gorgeous man on the planet. He is a bit younger .. which troubles me a little bit .. or alot of bit .. lol. I just couldn't help myself .. although I don't think I could call it a random hookup .. we texted and emailed and stuff for a bit before we actually hooked up. He texts me first thing in the morning .. the last thing he does before he goes to bed is text me. He is utterly amazing. But YOUNG. lol. What are your thoughts on younger guys...??

Theres nothing wrong with that. In my case i find that these days younger men (20-ish) are into me now that im in my 30s, age is just a number.

Youre only as old as the person you twirl.

I wouldn't sleep with someone on e first date as the norm, it would have to be some pretty sweet chemistry as I would be concerned of losing respect and the mystery about it all which can be important at the start of something new!

Yeeee I actually have experience here as well ;p I'm 24 and most of the women I've seen have been older than me. The oldest was 39 when I was 19, that moved onto Lisa who was 30 when I was 22 we went out for a while it was great fun. There's been a few others I'm not going to make myself blush, la_amazona knows the stuff :p Point is though I had a great time and just go for it, I got all the same compliments you're giving him as well. Plus as you say..we've got the drive ;)

This. They are known to provide easier, better sex, more experience. 18-25 y.o can be a nightmare with that if you're a 25 y.o. If you're a 25 y.o. yourself, and suddenly when you go 30+ the answer is rarely no.

    This pretty much yep.
The guy leaves the "cougar" for a younger woman as well when he is ready...

The best advice I can give is enjoy it, but don't take this too seriously. And if you want kids, you should realistically look elsewhere (35+ IMHO).

    Quoted for truth.

That's exactly the situtation I've been in. It's either that I didn't want a younger girl that wanted to be "serious" in her own eyes or I've just wanted someone a bit closer to my own maturity level. That said it seems to be a bit of a phase as well, get out there and enjoy yourself with no pressure, plus the thought of it being an older woman appeals to say the least. In one of my experiences the girl wanted more, which I was very fair about and told her exactly where I stood on it rather than string her along.

Also had the shoe on the other foot and realised that I wanted someone younger because we didn't want to do the same things anymore, with her it seemed like she wanted to get out a little bit of her "wild side" that she'd never really had much experience of. Once that wore off I think she wanted more civilised nights in rather than walking in at 7am smashed.

Loved every single second of it though and wouldn't have swapped it for the world "Never regret something that once made you smile" Besides the chemistry/passion can be incredible.

Oh and just to smash on the theory about older women being more experienced and therefore better. Only one over 30 ranks in my top 5 while the other 4 were all around my age, experience isn't always everything! ;)
