Hey ladies!! So I just found out a few weeks ago that Im preggo! Went to the doctor and had a sono on Wednesday because we had no idea how far along I was (I have pcos and very irregular periods) anyway, I am 8 weeks pregnant and my due date is December 14th! It was totally unexpected but definitely not unwanted :) I have just always thought it would never happen so I really just put it out of my mind and seems like as soon as I did I got pregnant :)

YAY MrsCarter!! Congrats! We're starting to have a LOT of December babies on here :)

I really do not FEEL pregnant....I mean I'm glad my energy is holding up. It's just strange. I expected to feel pregnant super soon this time around, and not the case.

HOPE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING GREAT :)

Congrats to all you ladies on your expectant babies! I am about 9 weeks pregnant! Due sometimes between December 10th and the 17th. This will be my second child, I have a daughter who is 19 months old. This pregnancy was a surprise for us as well, but we are happy and excited to welcome a new little one before the year is through. Morning sickness has been a killer as it was with my first, i have already been to the hospital once this time around for dehydration, finally feeling a little better and hoping it lasts but with my first i was sick for almost 5 months so i'm not getting my hope up lol. Anyone have suggestions on how to prepare my little one for becoming a big sister?

WELCOME Beth!! My daughter was only 17 months old when her brother was born...so we tried to get her excited over "the baby" but as she was just a baby herself she didn't seem to understand. She wasn't too jealous of him after he was born though. Your daughter will be old enough to understand more probably...I'd just start out by talking to her about it, and as your tummy grows I'm sure her curiosity will peak and she'll get excited.

Well no good news here. Went to the Dr yesterday, he checked my cervix said it felt normal, and no blood when he checked. Felt my uterus said it felt normal. But he said if you're having some bleeding your body is trying to tell us something. There will either be a heartbeat or not, so he ordered an u/s. Keep in mind I was supposed to be 10 weeks yesterday so there should have been an obvious baby with a heartbeat in there. Had to have a vaginal u/s, u/s begins and nothing....no heartbeat...no movement....no baby, just what looked to be an u/s of a baby at a much earlier time (had a six week u/s with my daughter looked the same as this except no heartbeat.) So the u/s tech measured across the baby and up on the screen in very small print it says (6 weeks) and she asked how far along are you supposed to be? I said 10 weeks and she said nothing else the whole u/s. I looked at my husband and shook my head no. Had to go wait on the Dr again. He came in and ultimately the jist of everything said was. It appears the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks; unless in the VERY slim chance we had our dates off that badly. (which I'm so regular I know the day I'll start my period, I took a pregnancy test the day of my missed period and it was positive. went the Dr a week later and the test came up positive again, so i know our dates aren't off.) The Dr also said there was no risk to my health at all by waiting to see if I miscarry naturally that most people just get tired of waiting and have a D&C, and for me to do whatever I was comfortable doing. I'm scheduled for an appt next week if I don't miscarry before then, I'm supposed to go in for them to do another u/s just to check, and then from there it's just a waiting game to miscarry if no growth. I'm sad and dissapointed, but ok b/c I know God's in control and allows things to happen for a reason. So unless there is a miraculous occurence between this week and next I am out of here.

Good luck to everyone else. May you have fabulous pregnancies, easy births, and super healthy December babies :)

Thanks for the prayers & sympathy. I have never gone through a miscarriage before, and hope I never have another one. Overall it's been a 5 day process, finally today I passed everything.....so painful...mentally, physically & emotionally. UGH! Hope everyone else is doing great.

Very surprised to learn that we are expecting our 2nd child on December 15. Had an ultrasound last week to confirm and thankfully the baby had a very strong heartbeat. It has been almost 9 years since my last pregnancy and things have definitely changed since I had him. Next appt on June 6 to have the N.T. ultrasound. So far so good.

ehg87, the worst kind of news: I'm so, so sorry - every parent's nightmare.

I wish there was something we could say, but I hope you know you have everyone's best wishes and thoughts right now.

I am due December 21 and the first baby was only one day late! I am hoping this one will be a bit early so I can go home for Christmas =) I am not looking forward to the colder months though, I can't get into workout DVD's and the idea of spending money to go to a gym is hard for me to swallow (I love running and walking - it is free and can be done anywhere!) BUT I have several more months before I have to think about that one. What are all you other moms thinking of doing in the winter months?

hey i am due around the same time. I am hoping that there wont be much snow so that i can walk up until the due date. I have a feeling month 8 and 9 will most likely only allow me to walk as cardio. I also have resistance bands i plan on using to keep up muscle tone. i got the bands at walmart for $10 for 3

Hey all! Due December 20th (with our first) - I would really love to be home with baby for Christmas, but in reality, what I want doesn't really matter because I believe a baby comes when a baby decides to come! Feel free to friend me - I'd love to make some fellow preggo friends :)

Just thought I'd try and start this thread going again - there are lots of December babies coming! How is everyone doing?

We have not found out the sex of our baby, keeping it a suprise. It was kind of hard over the weekend b/c I just really wanted to buy an outfit or two for the baby, but I'm not into all the greens/yellows/creams! Oh well! 8 weeks til my scheduled c-section (12/12/12)! In a way I feel like I still have a lot of time to get things ready, ect., and then I start freaking out about all the things I have to do to get ready!!

Hope all you December moms are doing good!
