18 lb gain so far, trying to keep it under 165 total. 5'3" 29 years old.

Been fluctuating 163-168 on any given day it's so weird. I'm cutting my elliptical down to 30 minutes a day, 60 is just too much time and I feel a lot more tired after doing an hour. I'm starting some basic body weight exercises for about 15-20 minutes per day to get a little stronger.

Congrats and great job with the weight loss!! 8 lbs in 7 days is incredible. I can't wait till I have my own PP updates hehe. I still check the postpartum pack and I'll head over as soon as this little one makes its debut.

Yeah just look up Postpartum Pack in groups and there's a thread on there about how much weight you've lost postpartum. It doesn't get much action these days but I need the accountability so we need to revive it!!

hello ladies i have gained about 22 lbs so far and i am only 23 weeks and 5 days. Thinking about dieting and working out more i was overweight to began now this fat gain is ridiculous and i feel ashamed i went from 248 to 270

I just saw this now...Don't be ashamed!! If anything just try to work on unhealthy habits and try to walk a little everyday. Pregnancy is hard enough as it is and it's no time to try to go on a diet. I know it sucks gaining more than you think you should but don't be down on yourself for it. Updating here every week really helps me make better choices and it's probably why I haven't gained 30+lbs already lol

I'm so happy to have found this group! I didn't know it existed and I've desperately needed somewhere that can help me with accountability during this first pregnancy. A little about me, I lost about 50lbs in th last 1-2years however kind of let myself go right before getting pregnant (awesome right?, not). I gained about 15 of it back right before finding out I was pregnant.

29 years old. First time mom
    Due dec 14, 2015
    Starting weight 187.1
    Ideal weight gain:15-20 pounds.
    Current weight at 19+4 weeks :199.1 (+12lbs)

I don't feel I'm gaining at a good weight in order to hit my goal. I know people say you can just lost it after the baby is born but I want to try to be better about exercising and eating healthier. Currently I eat whatever the heck I want, when I want, in whatever quantity I want, which I know is not good! Any advice would be super appreciated. Thanks!!! :)

    I'm 5'7".

Last week of the second trimester and I'm finally (just barely) within the proper range for weigh gain. My trend is also setting me on a better path, so that is fantastic! I'm very hopeful that I won't hit 200 unless I go really overdue and puff up with water.

I look forward to joining you ladies in the Post Partum Pack group once I've had baby! I noticed it doesn't really look very busy so hopefully you're all still there when I get there. I love posting my weigh-ins every week to keep me accountable.

Did lots of swimming, walking, and even spent a day at a water/amusement park during our family getaway before school starts next week. Also stuffed my face the entire trip so hoping baby girl gained her weekly half pound and maybe I lost weight somewhere? Have my next ultrasound next week to check on her growth. My last LO wasn't gaining weight at the rate she was supposed to during my last trimester so they induced me 3 weeks early which is why I joined MFP with this pregnancy. So grateful to be home been truly pooped these last few days!

Ooh. Quite the jump... I am holding some hope that the heat played a part in that, but more likely it's the overeating (still! Even though I told myself I wouldn't overeat when we got back from vacation) and the lack of movement (I have been averaging low low steps - like half what I usually do!). Ah well. Back on track, as best I can is all I can do!

Hi everyone! I am currently 21 weeks pregnant, weighing in at about 167 at 5' 6". About 3 weeks ago, I was 164, my pre pregnancy weight was around 155 lbs, but my first trimester I had terrible morning sickness and my first weigh in at the docs was actually 143. If I base my weight gain on my original pre pregnancy weight I have gained, 13 lbs by my 21 weeks. I have a Dr appt tomorrow So I can get a better idea of where I am at because I don't own a scale and I don't think should start now lol. Doc told me ideally do not go over 180 lbs, but even 180 scares me. If I can help it, I don't want to go over 170, but based on my current weight I don't think that's possible. After my first trimester I exercise daily and watch my calories. I have my cal goal set at about 1800, I burn anywhere from 300 to 900 cals a day depending on my energy level, and I end up eating half my calories back. At least once a week I do tend to go over though :( but 2 weeks prior I had my calorie goal set too high and wasn't tracking my burned calories properly so that may explain the more than expected weight gain but then again pregnancy weight gain can do what it wants sometimes lol. I am on track now and hopefully I will see a difference.

    Just fyi:

Breakfast normally consist of egg whites with spinach, onions, and tomatoes. 2 to 3 slices of turkey bacon, and a slice of toasted wheat bread. Sometimes I cut up fruit too.

Lunch consists of 4 oz of lean ground turkey, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, a whole kosher dill pickle, and a nectarine

Dinner consists of romaine lettuce, 3 oz diced tyson grilled chicken, tomatoes, parmesan cheese, croutons, Caesar Vinaigrette dressing, and another pickle.

Snacks I usually eat a protien bar, fruit, cheese, salami, pretzels, or fiberone bars.

    Always looking for more friends.

I have been MIA for a while, eating terrible and laying around way too much. lol. So, two days ago I was like something has to change. I have been back to eating healthy for the last two days (its amazing how quickly my whole attitude and outlook changes, when I eat healthy). I feel great and exercised this morning-- So much more energy from just two days of healthy eating.

    Week 4: 158.4 (-1)

    Week 15: 158.4 SAME

So I am glad to report that I have not gained or lost any weight. I will be 16 weeks this Saturday and am glad for no weight gain. Actually my weight fluctuates between 156-158. I have to start making healthy food selections because so far I have just been eating what my stomach can handle. I have a hard time finding foods that sound or look good enough for me to eat. Everyday is a struggle to figure what I want to eat. I am about to get back to working out for the first time since I found out I was pregnant. Can anyone tell me if they would recommend Jillian Michaels No More trouble Zones 3 x a week with very light weights???

    Total gain: 27.5 lbs
    Goal: 25-30 lbs
Had appointment today and ultrasound shows baby girl is weighing 6.6 lbs! Relief to know that she is healthy. Difficult to restart logging after slacking for a couple weeks and even a bigger pain to log when you graze most of the day because meals don't agree with me. Still making healthy food choices though but exercise has ceased for the moment.
