Not off to the greatest start, have really improved my diet since the first trimester carb-fest, but still put on 2.4lb last week...eeeek! I really upped the exercise last week so hoping I'm retaining a bit of water. Over halfway to my max goal and only 17weeks, has anyone managed to reign it in during the second half of their pregnancy and slow the gain?0 -

Yesterday my doctors scale had me at 171.4 with clothes even though my home scale said ~173, so not sure if i need new batteries or they do. I've been very sick so going down this week is not surprising.0 -

I only weigh myself at doctor's office. My doctor told me I'm measuring at 26 weeks and to schedule another ultrasound. She wasn't too concerned. She said I was petite and that everyone gains weight differently.0 -

@1fit_mamma I don't have any advice but will say that my gains have been sporadic rather than steady. Some weeks several lbs and others not much. Seems like this kind of thing can really vary based on the mamma and the baby. You're doing great!

170 prepregnancy weight, at 185 now: 25 weeks pregnant, 5'4"... I'm looking like I'm due any day but I still have 4 more months! Started walking every other morning for an hour, hopefully that slows my gaining down.0

Need to get back on track. I have been letting my irritation with work get to my eating habits, which obviously isn't helping with keeping weight gain in check or solving any work issues. Silly emotional eating.
Had a really tough weekend, I guess the kid had a growth spurt because I was just super uncomfortable and distended feeling. Seems like things may have stretched out and adjusted now because I am feeling better today. Definitely starting to see why the 3rd trimester is tough, and how women end up looking forward to labor if it means unloading this thing.1 -

@artgalchitown As far as protein goes, I'm pescatarian so I'm accustomed to finding non-meat protein sources! Fish and seafood (within moderation and avoiding mercury), tempeh, eggs, nuts (within reason), lentils, quinoa, peas, and yogurt come to the top of my mind. I'm not a huge fan of tofu, but there's that, too. Good luck!0

@karen_thinmint thanks for your concern. I was worried when I first got pregnant how I was going to handle weight gain since I've always been small. Little did I know how difficult it would be to gain weight and eat. My mom and sister were same way.0

@wantoldme are you drinking enough? Had a girlfriend thatwas dehydrated post vacation and had pretty low amniotic fluid levels when she got back she made sure to rehydrate well and it was fine a week or two later.
As for the 43rd percentile, thats a little below average, but if smaller babies run in your family not sure I would worry that much.1 -

Feels like I'm growing a bowling ball this week - baby all of a sudden feels very big and heavy and he keeps getting stuck under my ribs which has been really painful especially while sitting or driving for long periods! Have tried to reign it in this week food wise. I've mostly been keeping to my daily calorie total but not always with best food choices. Determined to do better this week and drink more water!0
