21 lbs in 30 weeks. No gain this week (well, I gained then lost a lb within a day from swelling management).0

I told myself after I changed my ticker to reflect my weight gain that I was done weighing...well I couldn't stay off my scale and now I really wish I would have!!! I'm starting to swell (even though I drink WAY more water than recommend) I think that's a lot of it...I'm up 5 lbs in 2 days! Ahh..
40 weeks and two days and I'm up 45 lbs..so much for keeping the gain under 40lbs :sad:0 -

But (look at the bright side) you know you didn't really gain 5 pounds in two days. That's just not possible. I would totally not count those 5 pounds. Although (also on the bright side) if you do, it'll be an even bigger jump on the ticker after you have the baby! :-)0 -

I totally agree with this^! The swelling will disappear within a few days (by the weekend it should be gone), and because of this quick water weight gain you should see a sizeable difference on the scale!0 -
I'll agree with everyone and say that its water weight. Unless you are some 21 500 + (that's a lot of Big Macs) calories in the past 48 hours, its pretty unlikely that you truly gained 5 pounds0

This happened to me too and I'm not sure why! I guess it's just water weight. My amniotic fluid is measuring high but I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.0 -

Right! It sure is annoying lol as others have said, pregnancy weight makes no sense!0 -
This is my weight progression thus far. I've lost 4 lbs. I looked at my weight chart from last pregnancy and I gained 0 until 15 weeks, then 20 lbs from week 16-26, then 30 more lbs from week 27-37, not good! No stress eating allowed this pregnancy and staying on Metformin!

I have been freaking out about weight gain. I gained 60 with my son, then kept gaining throughout the years. I gained about 30 with my daughter. I lost all of this weight last year and was so close to my goal weight! Now, I've gained 10lbs at 18weeks. Everything I've read has said that I should only gain 11-20lbs. It's hard to not think I'm a complete failure for this.
A big contributor to my gain is the fact that I stopped working and moved 250 miles to live with my fiance. He's not a big guy and eats sweets all of the time. Bleh!
Hovering around 200lbs is freaking me out.0 -
