How is everyone feeling? I've been waking up early and not able to go back to sleep. My day started at 2:45 yesterday morning. I am exhausted today and it's rainy/gloomy. Hoping the sun comes out soon or I may have to nap in my car on lunch
Last couple nights I have been waking up around 3am and don't go back to sleep until 6am. (Not good considering I go to bed around 11pm or midnight and have to be awake by 7am.)
I am the opposite on the sun. When it is nice and warm and sunny out I want to take a nap. I love the heat, and can totally take a nap in the nice warm car. The cold just makes me miserable.0 -

Gained that 1lb back again this week. I'm thinking that I should have gains for the rest of my pg. At my appt Tuesday night I was surprised that I had a 2lb loss. Not sure how that happened since I gained. Weird!! I'm starting to get nervous about delivering. I feel like not knowing what to expect is the better way to go Hoping to get the rest of the stuff I need done this weekend. Hope everyone is feeling well!!!0 -

The nerves just started kicking in for me again this week (35 weeks). I've been through it twice. So I have different fears and expectations than the first time. I know a baby is going to come out one way or another though. And while I hope to avoid an epidural this time I know how magical they can be so if need be I know I can rely on that. I started rereading a book last night on how to make the most of your labor and what positions may help and how to try to do it naturally. Read it a few weeks ago but figured if I'm going to do a refresher now's a good time! Eek!0 -

Not supposed to gain more than 15 lbs. Not sure I was supposed to LOSE 15 either... but I wonder if that means I'm allowed to gain up to 30 now? Hopefully not. I'd love it if I could keep my weight gain to an absolute minimum.0 -

What's the book?
Active Birth is the name of the book. http://www.amazon.com/Active-Birth-Approach-Giving-Naturally/dp/1558320385/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397772948&sr=8-1&keywords=active+birth I've really enjoyed it. It was recommended by a doula friend (I will not be having a doula at my birth, but I was using her experience to recommend something to make me feel more prepared). It has yoga exercises to practice (which I have done a few and enjoyed) and goes through the birth process (which I was fairly familiar with having been there twice - but I still learned some new things!).0 -

I have birthed 9 kids and I still get nervous in those final weeks. Every birth is different. I have been amazed to learn what my body is capable of doing. You will be too! With my first I found out I am allergic to the epidural so all my others were done without one. My last birth (2 months ago) was a water-home birth. It was the most amazing and wonderful birth experience. My second best birth was #8 in a hospital but with a very understanding free-spirited staff. I was able to walk around, eat, change positions, ect. There are a lot of options when it comes to birthing. Do some research, make a couple of different plans (as nothing ever goes exactly as planned), and focus on the end product...a health happy baby and mommy! Best of luck! :flowerforyou:0 -

I lost weight before gaining. Dipped down to -15.7 at one point and am now up 11lbs above prepregnancy. I viewed this as a 26.7lb gain but doctor days it is only 11.0 -

I can't believe 37 weeks already!! I feel like it started out so slow and then BAM - I'm counting days. Sleeping isn't going so great, but I think that it's just preparation. I'm not getting up to pee, but I'll sleep a block of 5-6 hours and then wake a up from hip pain (sleeping to long on one side) and then I can't fall back to sleep. My day started at 2:30am today Hope everyone is feeling well and keep up the great work!!!0 -

Up 21 lbs, not bad. Hoping I can keep it under 25, but I tend to go overdue and gain at least a lb a week at the end. Hoping 3rd times the charm and I will have her sooner than later and not gain a ton in the coming weeks.I have birthed 9 kids and I still get nervous in those final weeks. Every birth is different. I have been amazed to learn what my body is capable of doing. You will be too! With my first I found out I am allergic to the epidural so all my others were done without one. Thank you for this! I do have a very good hospital and they are used to both medicated and unmedicated births and different birthing positions. So pretty much what I want I think I'll be able to get. Just who knows what I'll want until I'm in it! Completely agree with the make different plans (I have my ideal, then my back up, then my third idea, but really, I don't do birth plans or anything like that, I trust in my body and doctors and know we'll make the right decision for the circumstances) and that all that really matters is healthy and happy baby and mommy! My only problem now is my son was 13 days late, my daughter 6 days late and my doctor is going on vacation when I'm 5-9 days overdue. So the pressure is on! This daughter needs to come at the latest 4 days overdue! Everything's going great with this pregnancy though so doctor says who knows she may be ready earlier than later (I've dropped some the last couple of days, but that could mean NOTHING). There are other doctors that can deliver me and a great team of midwives, but this OB has delivered both of my previous children and she's the only one I've seen this pregnancy and last (the 1st I saw everyone). So if anyone has any spare labor vibes I would love them before May 18th ideally (My due date!).0 -

Was surprisingly down this morning to 224ish after having stabilized for over 2 weeks. My appetite is totally back, and the morning sickness is mostly gone, popping up at the odd moment here and there. I full expect to start gaining soon, but I'm being very careful of what I eat. Sticking to proteins, healthy carbs and sugar from things like fruit instead of sweets. Hopefully I'll be able to stay within my 15 lb gain limit the whole pregnancy!0 -

I have been pretty leinent the last few weeks about portion sizes and even just some of my choices to foods. I am still getting my proteins and fruits/veggies in, but have been enjoying the 'treats' as well. Trying to get extra water in too. I'm about 1.5 weeks away from my due date. My water broke with my first at 11 days prior (which would have been today) and my DD was born at 9 days prior. This little one is still hanging on which is perfectly fine I am finding that I am much more nervous about the whole birthing experience this time around. I think I did better with the not knowing what to expect. Now that I've been through it, I keep thinking of all the different scenarios and if this baby comes this day or that day. I've enjoyed this pg as I did my first and while it would be nice to have this baby on the outside, I am going to miss the private moments that I get to myself. Hope everyone is doing well!!0 -

Total: -15.5 lbs
Was surprisingly down this morning to 224ish after having stabilized for over 2 weeks. My appetite is totally back, and the morning sickness is mostly gone, popping up at the odd moment here and there. I full expect to start gaining soon, but I'm being very careful of what I eat. Sticking to proteins, healthy carbs and sugar from things like fruit instead of sweets. Hopefully I'll be able to stay within my 15 lb gain limit the whole pregnancy!
You are following about the same path trend I did. I steadily lost weight up until week 18, stalled for a little and then started steadily gaining.
My personal goal for this pregnancy was to not gain more than 15 - doc wanted me to try to keep it under 20. I have gained 14 now and have 6.5 weeks left. I think my goal is out but in may still be able to keep the doctor's.0 -
