    1st pregnancy
    Height: 5'6
    Pre-pregnancy goal weight: 120
At home scale: reading 120 - 121 in February (unknowingly pregnant) but I don't know how much I trust that compared to those in the doctors' offices.
March 26 - 8 weeks, 2 days: appointment with primary doctor to confirm pregnancy, weight = 123.0
    April 14 - 11 weeks: 1st routine OB appointment, weight = 123.8
April 19 - 11 weeks, 4 days: 1st ultrasound, weight = 121.0 (she didn't use the same digital scale this time so I don't buy this weight...)
    May 19 - 16 weeks: 2nd routine appointment, weight = 124.7
    June 16 - 20 weeks: 2nd ultrasound, weight = 128 (home scale, right before appt, read 126.6)
June 23 - 21 weeks: 131 (Yikes, a 3 pound gain!! baby girl must have had a growth spurt this week!!)
July 14 - 24 weeks: 3rd routine appointment, weight = 132.1 (home scale, right before appt, read 131.4)
    July 30 - 26 weeks, 2 days: 133.2, home scale
August 4 - 27 weeks: 137.2, home scale - after calorie intake was done for the day. 5 pounds in 3 weeks seems reasonable but 4 of it was in the last week.
August 11 - 28 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 136.4. 4.3 pound gain since last routine appointment.
August 25 - 30 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 140.4. Another 4 pounds between dr appointments, YIKES!

I've gained another 2.2 pounds since Thursday last week. Sigh. I had a perfect workout week last week too (got my 5 days in).

19 weeks today. Total gain 10.5 pounds

Not thrilled. I have been super thirsty today, so hoping maybe I'm retaining a some water.

Ok, so I was definitely retaining some water and was down 600 grams today, so only up 200 grams from last week (not 2.2 pounds). I can live with that if I can keep it there this week. Holding thumbs!

Holy Cow. I really hope LO is just going through another growth spurt. Seems that I can maintain a weight for about 2 or 3 weeks, then all of a sudden I gain 2-4 lbs!

I'm almost back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I was hoping to keep it under that for delivery, but it doesn't look like that's going to be the case. Still have 5-8 weeks left!

Started previous pregnancies around 145 and ended up around 190.

    Week 4. 160 lbs
    Week 10 161 lbs
    Week 11 159.6 lbs
    Week 12 160 lbs
    Week 13 159.2 lbs
    Week 14 160.2 lbs

Other 2 kids I was up 4 lbs by this point. Not sure why because I'm not tracking. I'm pretty much eating when and what appeals to me. Based on educated guesses, I'd say I'm eating 800-2400 depending on the day with most time in the middle. Other pregnancies I was medicated to eat but on medication I ate a low amount constantly to prevent nausea.

Yikes, my weight jumped up nearly 2 lbs in a week! It was definitely a shock to see! I'm not worried or anything though. Baby GIRL (just found out on Wednesday!) is probably going through a growth spurt now that I've hit the halfway point. I'm just hoping it's not so much EVERY week. School is starting up this week, so I'll be getting consistent exercise walking my daughter to/from Kindergarten. That will be nice. And next week I should be able to make it to the gym at least 3x a week. I've been car-less for a month, thanks to a car accident at the end of July, and now I've been able to borrow a car, so I can finally get around. Won't be this week though since I have doctor appointments, but I'm happy, nonetheless, to finally get back into a regular schedule! Hopefully the exercise will help stave off 2 lbs/week gains.

I feel you there!! I had not gained a single pound the whole pregnancy.......and all of the sudden I am up 5 POUNDS in a week and a half?! Oh Lord I'm scared now! I don't mind the weight gain but I do mind how quickly! I don't know why either I have been eating very well and exercising more. I am guessing water weight/bloat and/or baby growth spurt as you also mentioned, I am extra tired and I do feel her moving around a lot more. I guess I'll have to do some damage control. I did take yesterday off from fitness but I am getting my butt moving today. Congrats on a little girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weighing in a day early, but doubt it will make much of a difference! It's been a long stressful week (family member in hospital, not doing well, may not make it. Can we say stress eating?), and lots of traveling so the water retention is terrible. Trying to drink as much water as possible, but it doesn't seem to be making much of a difference anymore. Not looking forward to what my OB might have to say when I weigh in at the office this afternoon! I think it's about a 6 lb gain from my last appointment 4 weeks ago! (according to dr scales)

    Hello all!

    Pre pregnancy 109lbs 5'1"

    5 weeks 109 lbs
    13 weeks 114lbs

Gained about 5-6lbs during my first trimester. Aiming to gain 35lbs. Gained 34lbs with baby #1.

    14, almost 15 weeks & weigh 116lbs. So I'm up 7lbs.

    16 weeks- 118lbs (+9)

    Need to start exercising!

    17 weeks- 119lbs (+10lbs)

    19 weeks- 119lbs (+10lbs)

No weight gain on my scale. My doctors scale says I gained 18lbs when I went in on Tuesday! I think I'll trust my scale since I've been using it since the beginning. At my doctors office, the scales vary on which room I use & time of day I go.

Grumble. Happy but not. Still within the weight gain range but I'm so hungry lately and all I do is think about food. Sleep is also getting harder. I remember crying in the morning with my last pregnancy because I was so tired in the 3rd trimester. I got more sleep after ds arrived.

I was up earlier in the week and thought I'd packed more weight on, but I guess it was all water. Kind of makes sense though cause my activity level got bumped up with taking my daughter to school (walking), plus going swimming, etc. So glad though that it came back down and seems to be holding steady this week.

This pregnancy has been way kinder to my body then the 1st time. I hope it continues to be kind to me while I breastfeed. Last time I struggled to lose weight while nursing.

I did well with nursing/losing weight for the first 3 months. But once my son started cutting back a little on feeds, I had a hard time. In fact, by the time he turned one, I had not only NOT lost weight - I had gained over 30 lbs back! I guess I'm one of those who doesn't need the extra 500 calories while nursing! lol This time around, I'm going to wait until my milk supply is established, then find out where my calories need to be to still lose weight slowly.

A lot of people have told me that too low of calories affects milk supply... and that may be true for some. But for me, I found that my supply was affect wayyy more by liquid intake than caloric intake.

Hi! I fell off the MFP wagon shortly before getting pregnant.

This is my second pregnancy - I have a 3 year old girl and a girl on the way :)

I was previously teaching Hot Yoga, and a 'retired' runner (These are hobbies, I work full time outside the home). I got burnt out on running after training for and running my first 1/2 marathon in June 2013. I quit teaching Hot Yoga as soon as I found out about my pregnancy as it is not safe for a pregnant woman's body temp to get too high, especially during the first trimester. I continued to teach regular yoga for a few months and then taught Pre-Natal for a month. I am not teaching now, and I rarely practice. I think I need a kick in the butt. I need to do my pre-natal yoga videos, go to classes, and walk. I don't know why I am being such a slug.

    Pre-Prego Stats: 130 lbs/5'2"

I am currently 27 weeks pregnant. My weight is 155. Yes, this is my second pregnancy and I am living it up. I have been eating whatever I want and the only activity I get is the day to day work and family stuff.

Needing some motivation here so I can get by with very little weight gain from here on out.

Glad to see there is a pregnant women's group!!!

September 8 - 32 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 140. Holding steady for now; back to loss of appetite though...

    Pre-Pregnancy: 150lbs
    25 weeks: 157.4lbs

Weight seems to be stacking on quite rapidly now!!! Odd to me because I'm still eating very healthy and working out more than I did the first few months of pregnancy. I guess the difference is I am not puking anymore, baby is growing, and I think I am retaining water! Still doing pretty good, just hope to see is go a littleeeeeee slower from here on out, I'd like to not see anymore than 25lbs if I can help it as I was slightly overweight to begin with.

It's getting harder and harder to keep on track! I'm hungry a lot, and my mind is all like "Go ahead and eat whatever you want, you've only got a few weeks left, how bad can it get?" :blushing: Only I know how bad it can get, so trying to hang in there!

Also, I don't want to have horrible eating habits after LO is born because I want to lose the weight! I am going to miss the excuse for having a tummy, though. Right now it's "cute". After she's born it's "fat". I plan on breastfeeding, but I really need to get some sort of exercise program going.

    Pre-pregnancy weight: 145
    Height: 5'7

    6 weeks: 148
    8 weeks: 152
    10 weeks: 146.6

I was soooooo bloated at first but now I'm eating better and the bloat went way down. Now I feel basically normal and can fit in my pants again. Haha
  • Per my doctor's scale ...
    9 weeks: 128.8
    14 weeks: 130.8 (+2)
    18 weeks: 132.6 (+1.8)

So far that puts me at about 3.8 lbs. I went a month without gaining a thing and finally jumped up a little last week. I am sure I will begin to see more gains as I have been STARVING. Im just glad I could keep the gains slow at first.

Whew, I had major water retention the past 2 days, and I really thought I'd end up with a 3 lbs gain this week, but this morning I weighed in and I was back down quite a bit. I had waaaaay too many calories this week with 2 birthdays and a lunch out. I was soooo sure I'd gained 3 lbs. Thank goodness I only ended up with a .8 lbs gain! I need to be very careful these next 2 weeks though cause I have 2 major events coming up at the end of the month that are going to be high calorie days! I'm going to have to be a bit more precise and less lax, that's for sure!

LOL I definitely hear you on "how bad can it get?". I'm 26 weeks and doing good on my gains so far so I'm starting to feel like I have a free ticket to eat whatever the hell I want. But I know this is a terrible idea and I'm holding out the urge for at least a few more weeks, I'm not even in the third trimester lot there's a lot of damage I could do!
