The insurance issue wasn't so much the danger of the gladiators themselves, it was the liability of having a person be the obstacle. Just an entire additional set of lawsuits to work around. And people could claim that a gladiator unfairly targeted them, or made it harder, or deliberately hurt them. A broken ankle over uneven ground is no ones fault. And falling off a wall is the runner's fault. I do get it, but still think they should be there in some capacity.0

I watched a GoPro video from the Citi Field Spartan Sprint...assuming that my sprint at AT&T will be similar, and was a little disappointed. No mud, no fire, no getting wet...no gladiators
I completely understand that they cannot change the physical structure of the stadium and it is during baseball season so obstacles are going to have to be easy to setup and take down. Saying that....the course still looked like it will kick my butt and I am looking forward to that!!! Maybe we'll get some mud in SF

My next is the Civilian Military Combine next week. Bravo AMRAP in the Pit (would have done Charlie, but coming of an injury), then 5.5 miles of hills, and 30 obstacles. Bring it!0 -

So far I only have the Own the Woods at Wildwood Park near the Georgialina area and the Savage Race in September in Dallas, GA! But next year I will be doing so many more! (Including trying to play rugby...down 'n' dirty!)0

Civilian Military Combine was awesome. Definitely on my list for next year, and possibly will hit up the one in Brooklyn, NY in Sept. if I can fit it in the week after the VT Beast.0

Spartan double day in just over 2 weeks. I'm both excited and shi tting myself about attempting a Super and backing up with a Sprint on the same day. Especially as I've never done a Spartan race before.0
