    Going hiking in the Donegal mountains some day this week which should burn 1500/2000 which will give my total a real boost.

    I may take a bit of a step back on this challenge for a while now I have been thinking of changing to a mainly weight based program and today is the day.I will still be doing cardio a couple of days a week (tues & thurs) but will not be reaching anything like the cals I have been doing.Hopefully with a days hiking to come and with the bits and pieces I will be doing I will still get the15000 but it won't be my main focus.

    sound man ,i think we all took off a bit to fast .hitting 8-900 cals a day . nice to see your hitting the iron .if i can help you out on anything give us a shout .

    this is going to be hard .5000 cals in 11 days and no training tomorrow or Sunday and im in Manchester next Friday and Saturday

    Hi Folks, I think its official. With 5486 remaining and me off on the 28th (to the sun for a few weeks :-) I'd need to do 1000+ every day to hit the 15000 so it's time to call "time" on the July goal.

    Interesting bit though, is that all that good work is still paying off. I actually lost 4 or 5 pounds last week having done NO exercise for a full 8 days.. Not just fluid either, because I've settled down at 15st 7lb-ish for the last 4 days (which is lower than my goal of 220 by 28/Jul). Clearly all that muscle I've built up has continued to burn cals for me while panned out on hospiatl trolleys/bed/couch.
