I am on day #2! I've lost just over 30lbs with exercise and my own eating plan; however, I've been at a plateau from almost any weight loss since the end of July. Losing weight for me seems to be a long battle due to medical issues, etc. My sister is still in phase 1 of IP & has lost 50lbs. She got me started on IP. I am hoping to use IP to reach my goal weight of losing 30 more pounds. My sister is getting married in 6 months and I really want to be as close to my goal weight as possible for this special day. All your stories of weight loss is very encouraging to me for reaching my goal. Also, I've currently been doing a strength training program for the past 60 days and I'm somewhat disappointed that I haven't seen amazing weight loss or benefits from all my efforts. I can tell I am getting stronger and I have lost some inches. So I am very excited to hopefully get things going again with IP! Any support is greatly appreciated!! =)

    Hello Everyone!

I'm starting the IDP plan again after gaining 7 lbs over the course of a few months mainly because of a "LACK OF KNOWLEDGE" on how to transition from Phase I to Phase II. I take full accountability for NOT having followed up with my coach to make the important transition between phases.

I'm a flight attendant for a regional airline and IDP works so well for me, however PHASE 1 IS NOT A WAY OF LIFE. I have become so dependent on IDP foods for the convenience alone but find it difficult to EAT enough during the day without BINGING when my 13-hour duty day is done. So with the scale slowly creeping upwards I decided to return to my coach for guidance. So here I am, starting Phase 1 for the next few weeks to drop those 7 lbs., get back on track and properly learn how to transition to Phase 2 and beyond.

I'm 49, 5'4 and currently weight 139. My goal weight is 120-125 within the "Athletic" range with increase lean muscle mass. While the scale is a great tool to help me manage my "weight" I'm more focused and concerned on increasing my BMI. Other challenges I hope to overcome are finding solutions to my battles with excess cortisol as a result of my hectic sleep schedule, learning to eat smaller meals throughout the day to avoid binging and weight gain due to hormonal changes which will be inevitable as I age.

I look forward to reading and learning about your IDP program experiences!

    Hello,

I started the IP diet on October 22nd, had my 1st WI and lost 9.5 lbs in 10 days. Yeah!!

I have lost 51 lbs but gained back 44 lbs from January 2012 till now. I started IP because I'm hoping going through the different phases will teach me how to eat to maintain the weight loss. Still figuring out what to do as I'm not a veggie fan and several of the Ideal Protein foods are not that great. Hope to exchange some recipes and to get some opinions from time to time.

Good luck to all and Happy Halloween!!

Welcome to IP newcomers. I took a month break from IP and just got back on it. I was able to maintain my weight by watching carbs, sugar, and logging everything into MFP. I am on day 3 and would love to lose 20 pounds before my cruise in 6 weeks. We can do it!

Welcome everyone that came in the last few days! I haven't been around a computer in a couple of days, if you can imagine that. Ha
I love IP and am currently starting my 6th week. Good luck to all of you :)

Hi, I have been on the Ideal Protein diet for 5 weeks. I started November 11th and have lost over 20 pounds so far. I am half way to my goal!

The Ideal Protein foods have kept me full so I don't cheat. I have started to look at the 1,001 Low Carb Recipes by Dana Carpender for Low Carb Recipes for dinner.

I have the same concern. One thing I am doing is learning more low carb recipes. I bought the 1,001 Low Carb Recipes by Dana Carpender.

    Hi everyone,
Just joined IP and had my first weigh in. Very excited by the results and looking for some people I can help support and can help support me. I'm thinking of this as a life change and not a diet. I joined right around the holidays, which was hard, but I didn't see how gaining more weight over the holidays with more to lose after was going to do anything but make me feel worse. Yesterday was hard but today feels really good.

    Hope you're all well.

Hi everyone! I started IP September 24 and have lost almost 34 lbs with 42 left until goal. I'm new to MFP but like how you track your food, supplements and exercise on this site. Great to see the numbers so when Phase 2, 3 and 4 come along, I'll understand better what I'll need to do. My New Years Resolution is to start exercising again so I started today by getting back on the treadmill for 1/2 an hour. And of course, with all this snow that got dumped on eastern Canada last night and today, I had to shovel for an hour as well with a couple more hours left to do!

Welcome, you can add me as a friend if you want. I started in Nov and am down 18lbs. It's a hard diet to follow because it's so strict but I have seen good results. Good Luck to you!!

Greetings from Fairbanks, Alaska. I am Tina and I have been on the IP diet for 32 days. So far I have dropped 20.2 pounds and 21.75 inches. I am loving the results so far. My clothes are fitting better. I am looking forward to getting into a different size. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks. I really like tracking my food on MFP. It will make it much easier since I can do it on my phone, iPad or at home. It will make the food diary much easier to turn in each week.

I look forward to sharing trials and tribulations with everyone.
    Have a fantastic day

Hi all, I started the IP program on Dec 21st, and have had better than expected results so far in spite of having another 70+ lbs to go if I want to achieve even the TOP end recommended weight for my height. My personal goal is to make it to high school weight which is "just" 50 lbs away. :/

I was only introduced to MFP five days ago, but WOW! I have a fitbit tracker and scale that tie in really nicely with MFP. I wish I knew about all of this cool tech gadgetry before. This is not to say that I don't also need buddies to keep me honest! Anyone else using any interesting/fun tech to lose weight and get in shape? I'm still waiting for the Bodymedia LINK armband to be delivered which will help turn me into a cyborg. ;)

My first week on phase 1 was really tough, especially so for having started just as the holidays rolled through. I managed to stay on program and after that harsh first week I think I've settled into phase 1 pretty well.

My name is Tiffany and I am starting IP for the 2nd time! I did a 12wk stint and lost 40lbs and then took the month of Dec off from the plan and gained 10lb, and NOT from eating a normal diet but from eathing EVERYTHING in sight! I am a food addict and IP is the ONLY diet that has worked for me in the last 8years. I am commited to 16wks of the program and my goal is to lose 50lbs! This program is tough but it works and I feel GOOD when I am on plan.
