I either have no idea or never get hit on (most likely the latter).

Um... I've seen your MFP Wall.... LOL... you get hit on ALL the time!!

I tend to have no clue. I don't even notice when guys stare at my chest, so I pretty much have to be hit over the head with it.

Hit over the head with what

I literally have no clue and when I do I still don't believe it's actually happening.

Totally clueless...Unless its a very obvious double take or" hey would you like to get a coffee/drink"
I think my clueless-ness leads me to feel I'm invisible..I search for some sign..OR I am invisible and no one is interested. I prefer to think I'm clueless...that means someone out there is interested and I just need them to be less subtle.

    Definitely clueless! You're beautiful!

People probably think I'm fishing for complements I'm totally not! But thanks (you're sweet!)! I hope I become less clueless soon!

Ditto here. I've never really been able to pick up on the signals that a guy may be sending me. I can also be painfully shy when meeting people for the first time so that doesn't really help in the dating department either! Even if my friends sit there and tell me someone is checking me out my first thought is naaah can't be me

What's worst for me is I always get it backwards. I don't know when I'm really getting hit on. It's either, I always think a guy is just being really friendly do I become friendly back or... I assume he is hitting on me, buy normally it's usually not the case and I end up always wrong. Im not good at picking that up at all

Nope. I am completely oblivious. I don't notice men trying to catch my eye, looking at me, or flirting with me. I'm usually so in my own head while walking around I can walk past a person I know and not even realize it. My boss had to physically put her arm out and stop me because I was walking right on by at the grocery store.

    I wish I wasn't so oblivious,. :( I think it'd make things easier.

Totally unaware, to the extent that when the man of my dreams asked me if I was going (home) with him at the end of an evening out with friends, I assumed he meant would I like to share a cab.... which I told him didn't make any sense as we were going opposite directions (why isn't there a facepalm icon on this thing?). He's now engaged to the girl he had recently broken up with when we first met, and I've regretted missing the signals since about five minutes later when I was in my own taxi, and had the proverbial 'lightbulb' moment. Doesn't make me any better at spotting them now, though. Like Anna, I assume men are being friendly, rather than showing an interest in the specific.

I usually just assume that everyone is, because well - why wouldn't they!

In all honesty, I think I'm pretty good with picking up on this. Unfortunately, it's rarely anyone I'm mutually interested in flirting with. Grrr I have GOT to stop wearing headphones at the gym :grumble:

I feel pretty confident in saying I haven't been hit on since high school or college. if someone has hit on me since then, well, I didn't have a clue that it was happening!!! :-)

Unless a guy actually says "would you like to go for a drink? or 'here's my number, call me" etc, then I just think men are as friendly as I am

Mind you, sometimes I kinda think there is a different eye contact/smile and a waft of chemistry............ But that's a fleeting feeling that might be coming from me? If it isnt followed up by him, I just think I must have got it wrong :ohwell:

I interviewed a guy once for an hour/half and my boss came and interrupted. He said that I was needed out back. I thought he was really rude and took exception as I was getting on really well with the guy. My boss took over the interview. It wasnt till the guy left that my boss told me he was chatting me up!!

So yeah, without the guy stating the obvious I think most women are clueless/modest/unassuming...........

This is me...I am pretty intelligent - At least I think I am - but when it comes to guys I am so dense!! He could give me EVERY hint there is known to man/woman and I would have absolutely no clue unless one of my friends pointed it out and then I would still think they were wrong....It sucks!!!

ETA: This is bad but sometimes I have had guys straight tell me they liked me or found me attractive and I would think they were joking or just trying to make me feel good...Lol...Pathetic huh???

I can say that I am in your boat in the denseness. I can't tell and just assume guys are being nice to me in a friendly way. Unless it is blatant... I don't bite.

    That's probably why I'm single.

Seems that with all of these females being clueless that we are being "hit on", you guys need to be more direct :drinker:

That's what I said! I don't have time to go to Starbucks 3 times a day to see a crush in hopes that one of those times she will just fall in to my lap or something. *kitten* or get off the pot, people!

I have to say I've gotten better at seeing it though... Mostly cause my sister or BF will hit me over the head until I start to recognize the signs.. And like 1 lady said if their staring at my boobs all night I'm pretty sure they are interested

I know a guy is interested if he stares at my boobs all night but is he interested in me or just sex with me??? Just a thought b/c that happens quite frequently and I don't think that is someone who really is interested in me per say but what I have to give him...lol

That sucks but wouldn't you rather have a relationship with him
and not just a hookup? That's the way I see it at least.

I've been told that I don't take compliments well so I would have no clue if someone was actually hitting on me. I've been single for a few years now and I just have come to the conclusion that no one is interested in me so I never think guys are actually interested...

I would say I am clueless but that would be overstating my ability.

    Heh, me too!
