Great job. Thanks for starting this thread.

For myself, I jogged 3.1 miles today. However, I started out by walking, so it took me about 45:00. I was more in the 11min/ mile range. I did it on the treadmill. I think I was inspired by my last post.

Yesterday I ran 3 miles. Today is a rest day and tomorrow I'm scheduled to run four. I'm hoping that it isn't too hot out. It's been in the upper 90's here consistently and even breaking 100 at some points of the day!!

Today and tomorrow will be non running days for me. Today was a rest day and tomorrow we're going to the zoo so we'll be walking around all day long. Thursday, I will do a 3.5 mile run and Saturday is my next 5k!

I got up at 7am this morning to go for my run and it was storming. I decided to wait until this evening, but they were calling for more storms, so ended up going at the hottest part of the day this afternoon. It was rough, but I did 3 miles. I don't think I've ever sweat so much in my life! lol. It's a good thing I went when I did, because shortly after I got home, we got slammed with a severe storm.

    Finally- it's Friday.

All conditions were right for a good run this morning- nice weather and I felt awake and ready to go. I am pretty sure I ran 3.1 miles. If not, I was pretty close.

What a difference good workouts make. Two weeks ago, I tried running this same course and I was walking parts of it. I also cut myself off short. Today, I ran the whole thing. I think the difference were the workouts I was doing between 2 weeks ago and now.

Next Wednesday is my first 5K race since July 2010.

I'm inspired by your posts! Good luck on the 5ks! Have fun!

I did 3.1 miles last night, and this orning I ran 2.5 and walked an additional 2. The temperature was perfect! And the dog loved it!
I'm planning a long run tomorrow. I want to run at least 4 miles.

I did my same course as Friday, but couldn't jog the whole thing this morning. I could tell that jogging the 3 miles in the morning on Friday and kayaking 3 miles at night played a part in this morning's "failure".

I didn't want to push myself too far b/c tomorrow I would like to try to bike to the health club, swim in the pool, run on the track and bike home.

I mapped. Out my course ahead of time on runkeeper. It measured 4.01 miles. I biked it with my daughter and it measured 4.01. I ran the same route this moening and it measured 3.8 miles:grumble: I was annoyed. But them I walked an additional 2. My goal was to do 4 but there's always next week.

The GPS on runkeeper can act strangely if it is not totally set before you start the activity. If you go on-line and look at the map you may see where it looks like you were cutting corners and running off the road because the GPS did not track properly. I think you actually did the 4 but runkeeper cheated you!!

Oops, I forgot to post yesterday's run. I ran a Zoo Run 5k, my city's largest 5k event. I finished in 26:33.77 (8:34/mi), 19th out of 139 women in my age division and 199th out of 770 overall. I was super pleased and excited with my time! I beat my goal time by over a minute! :)

I did my first trail run today in the woods my parents own (around 120 acres I think). It went surprisingly well! I went about 3.3 miles in about 41 minutes. A little slower than normal but not nearly as slow as I feared it would be! I was repeating week 3 of my 5K210K program. After the ease of this run (well, certainly not easy, but easier than I thought it would be), I'm thinking about moving on to week 4 after all!

Eek! Yea take it easy and heal quick!

I ran 3mi Monday night and 5 mi just a bit ago...both with a 9 and a half min/mi pace. It's amazing how much my pace has improved with this consistent running. This is definitely great motivation!

3.1 miles this morning. My mileage has been low the last couple weeks. I traded my running shoes for the bike in order to give my muscles a rest. Half training starts Monday so my mileage will go up.
