i'm new here, and just started running again 6 weeks ago -- yesterday was my first 20 mile week. i have been lurking here for a few days, and it's been so inspiring to see everyone getting out there and racking up miles.
this week:
sun - rest
mon - 4.25 mi
tue - 4.5 mi
wed - rest
thu - 4.5 mi
just i signed up for my first 5K in a couple of years. my goal is 31 minutes, but secretly hope i can break 30.0 -

around 3.5 miles, i thought, "this is probably the best i am going to feel today." that thought picked me up and got me through the last mile and a half.0 -

8/21 3.5 miles running .5 miles walking = 4 9.5 total for the week
8/22 2 miles walking 11.5 total
8/23 2 miles walking 13.5 total
8/24 3.5 miles running, 1 mile walking = 4.5 18 total miles for the week! woohoo0 -

today's run was around a lake where i'd run a race 5 years ago. looked up my time from back then -- found that i ran it 2.5 minutes faster in 2007. something to shoot for! i was not pushing too hard, since this was my first off-track run since i began running again 6 weeks ago. i would not say it was hilly, but there were stretches where there were uphill / downhill inclines. i wanted to save some energy, in case the uphill-ish parts were tough, but ended strong with plenty to spare.0 -
