    Hello ladies,
Seems like it’s been forever since I have posted. I have checked in a couple of times but just been busy with this wonderful time of the year.

Tonya sounds like you had a wonderful day and treat with you friend. We have a local spot I am hoping to visit for my bday next month that called Cotton’s. Chef Cory Bahr of the food network’s Chopped. So I totally relate.
Janet, I have just recently began answering the dreaded “weight” question also. It has only been with family but it has been a revealing turn around that has allowed them to support me with comments about how much I have lost.
Bis, I am soooooooooooooo envious ! I love to tour homes (what true GRITS doesn’t LOLOL) Just hearing the details sounds so amazing.

Kobie I so understand the wasted time…one of the reasons I have listed for losing weight is …LIVE my life instead of enduring it! The things we do to ourselves are sometimes far worse than anything others could do…I can only imagine how many times I have beat myself up and refused to forgive myself when others would have seen pass things and let it go. How is it we become so hard on ourselves?

I am happy to report that I have enjoyed a couple of great NSV
1st I had a fellow teacher ask if I had surgery as I am almost skinny. Now I know I not really but the fact that she noticed how much and wondered made me feel great. When I said nope she was totally amazed and the next day even commented that I am going to need some new clothes that ones I have are getting so big. Now this is the 2nd and 3rd size down so far !!!
The next was when I came home one day my stepdaughter did a double take and said wow your getting skinny !!!
Today I ran into a friend that I haven’t seen in a few months and she did a double take and said wow you are dropping that weight like crazy and started telling her mom about how its just been a few months since we saw each other and how much I have lost in that time.

So I am repeating these often to ward off the Christmas treats !!!! But I am feeling good about where I am at. I would usually be gained a 5 or 10 pounds by now, so the fact that I have lost 3 this month and not gained means I am a good 15 ahead. Oh and I almost forgot that on our little trip south for the day my sister commented on one of our bathroom trips that I need to start saving my money. I was confused and for what? For a tummy tuck you already have sagging skin from what you have lost you will need it when you get to your goal. Now I know some wouldn’t take that as a compliment but I do b/c that means she sees me making my goal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great Friday and weekend…I am going to try and finish up shopping so that I don’t have to battle the crazies on the last weekend. Wish me luck !!! And prayers would be even nicer
Oh and I just went through my first observation of the year and passed. I got brave and ask where I stand having a position next year and the principal said she didn’t know of any reason I wouldn’t have a job.

Well, my car windows are now all present -new one was finished being installed today just in the nick of time-exactly one hour before the rain started (and hasn't stopped) and I got an email today that my new laptop is in at Best Buy (ahead of schedule). Because of insurance deductibles, I am out $600 :-( BUT we are all safe and sanity restored :-)
BTW, A neighbor told me that another neighbor had gone grocery shopping, loaded her groceries in the car when she realized she had forgotten to buy something, locked her car, went back in the store and came out no more than ten minutes later when she saw that her car window had been smashed and all her groceries were gone. Is that crazy or what?????

Tarnold, what great comments! you will be smiling & walking with a spring in your step for months. Yes, the mansions were wonderfull. We plan on going back in the spring to tour the ones that are not open in the winter. Do you ever do real estate open houses? I sometimes spend an afternoon doing them with a friend.

Seehe, do you live in the city? I live in a rural area with little crime. I can not imagine breaking a window to steal groceries. I am sure you feel violated. Take care, I know it would cause some major stress eating from me.

Tomorrrow my annual Ginger bread open house. I have 12 made from scratch & ready to decorate. My plan is healthy snacks this year to balance out all the candy that will be here. Admission to those who come is a bag of candy & we always have a lot of fun. Even my 18yo son still enjoys this event. I will have veggies n dip and turkey meatballs.

My work holiday party was this week. Why is it holiday food is so high fat/sugar/calorie? Why couldn't it be veggies, fruit, fish & such? Today I plan on bringing home made soup. I find if I bring what I plan on eating I will only eat what I bring.

Well have a wonderfull day everyone!
