    This is my final check-in as I leave for our cabin tomorrow. No phone or email for 10 days.

    Goal Weight: 155

    Fitness goal: Run 3 miles at 10 min/mi (Currently running 2.5 miles at 11 min/mi) / Current Fitness status: Completed 5mi run on 6/26 at 10:34 min/mi.

    I think doubling my distance and increasing my speed by 30 seconds counts as a winner. Also the original time was on a treadmill and I now run outside. So I'm giving myself my reward, which was a massage. Not sure when I will get it scheduled, hopefully before the kids go back to school.

    Goal: 130 and maintain, 100 or more squats a day, go to the gym to workout for cardio and weight machines 3-4 times a day, Ride bike 30 minutes or more every day once or twice a day.

    6/28/13-UGH! Gained but still under 130! My WLS program nut told me to up my cals to 1500 and eat back all exercise cals. I usually burn 300 cals or more a day in exercise so I have been eating them back and up'd the cals for the day and gained like 4-5 pounds! How can that be!?!?! I went back to only 1300 cals a day yesterday and eating back some of burned exercise cals but not all of them. I don't want to loose anymore weight but I sure don't wanna gain or go over 130! I have been going to my new gym and loving it. Did Aqua Zumba Sat morning and Monday night, Water in Motion cardio class on Tuesday, will hit the gym this weekend too and swim lesson on Sunday afternoon. It has been so hot and humid and I've been so busy with the aqua class and dog training classes on the week nights I don't have time to ride my bike. Gonna try to ride this weekend if isn't raining and not too humid out.

    Fitness Goal: Complete 5 Big Mile DVD at one time w/o breaks. I wish I could run/jog, but that's not in the cards for me.

    Have made it through 4 miles on DVD, but really stepped up the strength training.

    Well, the weight was down to 146.2, but went on a two day beach vacation, didn't stray from my diet much, definitely stayed under the calories, but picked up 3 pounds. Wound up with very, very high blood sugars because I neglected to account for the sun/heat with my insulin and pump (I'm a type I diabetic) and the times I took the pump off to swim. I assume all the added insulin to get those blood sugars down played a role in that gain. So... we are back to 148. 6.

    I WILL get these pounds off and reach my goal by July 4th. I'm finding that the cardio doesn't do a lot for the weight loss now, but will continue it for the health benefits. Have really stepped up the strength training and will continue that. Will see how it goes!

    June 17: weight 147.2
    Goal weight for July 4: 145

    Going to keep doing what I am doing with cardio and strength training.

    It seems my weight is dropping when I eat more, so I upped my calories a bit and we'll see if I can get to goal by July 4!

    Now I just have to hit my exercise goal!

    Still at 150, although some days I drop as low as 148. Have increased my activity level to almost daily!

    I am still here although I have stayed exactly the same weight as my start weight. Still working to try and figure out the key. Same weight for 24 months post surgery. I am scheduled for a plastic consult in July. Perhaps excess skin removal will make a bigger difference than I think it will. Thanks to this challenge, I ran my 3rd 5K in a good time and have reduced body fat a couple of % points. KUDOS to all of you who lost, logged faithfully, and made the challenge interesting

    I'm the same way. I definitely lose a lot more when I up my calories.

    Well, this is it!!! Happy July 4th everyone!!! This was a great challenge and there were times I didn't think I would make my goal, but I got there somehow...

    My starting weight was 158
    My goal weight was 145

    This morning I weighed in at 143.6! I managed to surpass my goal by a whopping 1.4 pounds!

    Hope everyone enjoyed this challenge and came through healthier, more fit, and happy with their progress. :wink:

    Happy 4th of July. Under 130 and maintaining. Sticking with 1300 cals a day and eating back some of burned cals from exercise. Went to the gym on one day this week, on Wed morning due to being sick on Monday and off work and had WLS group support meeting on Tuesday. I am off work till Tues of this week so will hit the gym for sure Monday and Tues and I have swim lessons on this Sunday too. Need to get that bike out and ride some too!

    Looking forward to the next challenge we have!
