    BMO Okanagan Half coming up on October 7th! This'll be my second half after completing my first last month, and if all goes well, perhaps a full on the horizon for next year? We'll see! :happy:

    My next race is the Doug Anderson Memorial 5K at Bedford (UK) next Wednesday.
    More excitingly - I will be booking flights and Hotel for the Lake Garda 15K on October 14th TONIGHT.

    I am currently training for my first marathon. The Brussels Marathon in October! My PR for a half is 1:46:36. I am getting pretty nervous for my body as the mileage increses, but I'm pulling through. Biggest problem right now are posterior shin splints...

    I have just finished a 50k ultra at the end of June. In 8 months, I have done 2 marathons, 1 half and some 5k's. No more big races for me this year.

    Next race planned is Finn McCool 4 Mile Odyssey - 4 miles, 13 Obstacles, 1 Crazy race! A gnarly run on trails, dirt, mud, grime, creek crossings, rope climbs. Saturday Sept. 8th in Buffalo. :drinker:

    New to the group and fairly new to running. Started running in Feb. 2012, ran my first half marathon in May. Just signed up for a 15.5 mile trail run in Ohio. Pretty excited! Hoping the next event will be a full marathon! Excited to meet other runners!

    I'm doing the half at the MD running festival at Six Flags on Oct 20th.

    That's the next thing on my schedule, but I'll probably do a couple of 5ks in the interim.

    There's one that's actually in the Ft. McHenry tunnel. That sounds kind of gross, but it might be cool. Hmm.

    Did 10k yesterday (Naval Station Mayport, FL) with a PR of 45:25
    Next race is Sept. 8th, Wounded Warrior Project 8k Jacksonville, FL
    Zombie Buffet 5k October 20
    Evergreen Pumpkin Run (10 mile) Oct 28

    My race schedule is very curtailed this fall because I'm taking Doctoral courses, one of which is every other Saturday......so that eliminates some races I would normally do, like the Jacksonville USMC Half Marathon Oct. 6th.

    This Saturday I'm running the 14 mile option (there's a 36 as well) at the first annual Moosalamoo Ultra in Goshen, VT. Main features of the course include climbing Mt. Moosalamoo and fighting through a field of puckerbrush. Oh, and the location is perfect, with several brewpubs in the local vicinity. :-D

    Mid-Atlantic Tough Mudder on Sept. 8th in Frederick Maryland. Anthem/Richmond Marathon Nov. 10th in Richmond Virginia.

    chadwood, doing my first mud run Sept 15th, its only a 5k but I am so excited, they seem like so much fun.
    SRB710, good look I hope you love your first, I loved mine.

    As I said above I've got a 5k mud run, Hell Run Seattle, September 15
    Half Marathon number 3 November 25th!

    And have fun at your mud run. I love fun runs. I have done a Santa run and a Color Run and it seems they are just so FUN! :)

    LOL...Whichever one I run I have go Saturday to expo and pick up my bib and packet, the Runnersworld HM is only 65 miles from my house, I can do that both Sat and Sun. But Atlantic City is 110 miles from me, niece trying to see if she can get a room comp in a casino this way we can stay the weekend.

    Got a HM this weekend. The store running it is giving away a Quintana Roo bike as a draw prize. Drool!! They also haven't said what the race gear swag is, luckily I love surprises!

    9/16 - Bucktown 5K (Chicago)
    9/22 - Fort 2 Base 3 Nautical Mile (Great Lakes Naval Station)
    11/4 - Hot Chocolate 15K (Chicago)
    12/1 - Santa Hustle 5K (Chicago)

    I'm considering going for a HM in late January or late February, depending on how training goes for the 15K.
