Thanks. I took a break on day 4. I did 20minutes. I don' know how to find the distance. I have a Nordictrack from Sears. I love this machine. Then, I did 25 minutes of Stepping Aerobics.

day 6 check in: 60 minutes 3.65 miles and burned off 405 calories... I am feeling so good! I had no problem getting to the 45 min mark, but I have to admit I struggled through the last 15... I did have to chuckle; the gym owner was there, he told me he was going to have to give me a prize for making it there 6 days in a row... Can't wait to see the expression on in face when I go walking in tomorrow morning.... Enjoy your Saturday, ladies

I have to admit... I didn't make it to the gym today  I got up, had a monster headache and realized that if I didn't get the laundry done that no one would have cloths for work. I did clean the house and took periodic walks with the dogs. I'll be back at it tomorrow

You are on fire!!! All the work you have done on the Ellip thus far is working its magic. Wait till you get on again---whether 5 or 50 minutes---the body knows and remembers!!

Check in DAY 7: Hey, how cool to have a man in the challenge! Welcome MANdown!!!! I made it back to the elliptical, I will admit it wasn't my best day. I did however manage to increase the resistance level to 7. I went 40 minutes 1.89 miles and burned 330.

I am just down in the dumps today... I had a dear friend pass unexpectedly yesterday. Then this morning I got on the scale and was up 2 lbs... Just in a funk...
  • I got in 2 miles today going got 10 more

I just purchased an elliptical trainer this weekend and it was delivered today -- so I would love to participate even though I'm a little late to the show.

I'm used to a recumbent bike where you can cycle many miles inside 30 minutes -- so I'm a little concerned it takes so long to get a few miles on an elliptical. Yikes! Oh well, still very excited to own one. Seems like a great workout and I'm trying to get 10,000 steps a day with my fitbit (which was the initial goal).

Does anyone know if there are logs for tracking our workouts on an elliptical (time / miles, etc.)?

    Best of luck!

hmmm I think my elliptical may be giving me to many calories burned. In 30min at speed avg 60 tension avg 5 it says I burn up to 600 cal. Just weird

Hi fellow elliptical junkies! I am new to this but think I could become a cross trainer junkie if my enthusiasm continues. Can I please join the challenge? Starting to build up slowly and plan to increase a minute a day. Hope to check in here and learn from you all. Recently purchased a York front drive. :-)

Day 7... could have been better, but It sure is better than nothing. I actually wore "real" shoes last night (by real I mean cute heals) It's been 7 wks since I sprained my ankle.. 4 hrs with the shoes on, my ankle was screaming! Woke up with pain and swelling. Guess I'm back to the gym shoes... Anyways... I did't want to push it so I only did 20min and 1 mile. Hoping tomorrow will be better. I have to have a thyroid fine needle aspirate tomorrow after... Not looking forward to having that again.
