Did Walk & Jog from the WATP Fat Burning Walk - Leslie said it's 2.5 miles so that's what I am going with. ha!

I recently fractured my ankle and just got out of my walking boot and Im SUPPOSE to take it easy soooo I would love the challenge but Im going to shoot for 25 miles in October.

****** Just out of curiosity - we are only counting the miles we walk for exercise or are we counting our total daily miles walked while we work and then while we also work out???*******0 -
We count the miles that we purposely walked for exercise: Mainly Leslie DVDs, but also when we take it outside, or with another walking DVD/ CD. It is good to mix it up sometimes. Like Leslie says it 'surprises' our muscles .
Tuesday:
Today I walked 3 miles outside.
My routes are measured and planned, with a planned warm up and also cool down measured out, and then I do stretches when I get home. I learned my walking lessons well - thanks to Leslie :happy:
Walking outside is much harder on my feet/ ankles (past major ankle fracture with two surgeries) and sometimes the shins or knees even with super good shoes. But since I do feel it differently than when I do the DVDs I want to mix it up weather permitting again, since It is finally cooler in the morning. So I want to fit in outdoor walks again and surprise those muscles.
Goal for October: 70

I only discovered Leslie Sansone last week, I have since downloaded a couple programmes but there are so many I want to try, she is not well known in the UK it seems, so i'm searching the net outlets to buy some dvd's, there are a couple I want to try that aren't downloadable...
Please do let me know if you can recommend any in particular that I should purchase

A good place to look for Leslie DVD's is www.collagevideo.com and I believe they have international shipping. Just Walk 5 day Ultimate Walk plan is really good, very versatile. i also just go WATP Fat Burning Miles - 4 short workouts that are great!
Today I skipped water aerobics and did the Walk, Eat, Lose 4M with the boost cables. I almost passed out - LOL - the last mile is intervals with squats and lunges using those cables. Whew!

I just finished my first ever Leslie Sansone walk - walk at home 3 miles on YouTube exercise tv.
It was great and I would love to join the group.

Just did Leslie's 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk for the first time. How(if at all) do I reconfigure MFP to reflect
the 12 instead of 15 minute mile? Or is the calorie burn so small that it's not worth bothering with?

I wouldn't bother with it but you know that you burned more than what MFP says. I would suggest using a HRM with a chest strap because it is much more accurate. I found that I am burning way more calories than MFP says I am.0

today i did the 3 fast miles walk and burnt 286 calories in 44 min according to my HRM.
That's 6 hours total for the month, 54 to go0 -
I'm back after nearly a 3 week absence since I had a painful foot from a broken toe. Swelling is down, pain almost gone, and I am going to set a goal of 40 miles for October. I made it to 34 by the middle of September so I am hoping to exceed the 40 but know I will need to start slow and work back up.

I haven't forgotten about you guys! I moved this past weekend and Verizon has been unable to get our DSL and phone working, so I haven't been able to post to the group from home. I walked 1 mile around the neighborhood the other night (google mapped it to make sure I made 1 mile) and did my 2 mile brisk walk dvd this morning. I need to get cracking!
