guess which side got the * last night?

As usual, when things go well, I try to challenge myself more (and usually spoil it) - so I'll try hit for 7:30 p.m.

    Stay strong, everyone!

Although I have eaten lots more than normal for the last couple of days (after the ultra) I am not late night snacking, wahoo.

I don't even really have the urge to snack at night anymore--even with this being my TOM

That is awesome, gmukris! My TOM has arrived, as well, and I'm feeling less inclined to snack than usual....not sure why, but I'm really glad - because usually I give myself "permission" to just go ahead and LNS for 2 days, or whatever, and this month, I'm trying to "hold steady".

    Thanks everyone :flowerforyou:

That's got to be really tough. I used to run marathons and I know the effect it can have on your appetite. What ultra did you run?

Tommy, it was the Royal Parks Ultra in London. It started in Hyde Park, then along the towpath down to Bushy Park. It felt long but now I know I can do it, I want to go further. do you still run?

We're going on vacation this Saturday and I won't be taking my laptop and I can't log into the forums from my iPod, but I'm going to do my very best to avoid LNS!

It was an ugly battle last night. I lost BIG TIME. Yes, TOM was roaring. It was a HUGE BINGE. Not proud of myself.

Beeps2011, you do so fabulously so much of the time, don't be mad at yourself. Every day is a new day. :flowerforyou:

Gmukris have a great holiday. How long are you away? I hope it's somewhere nice. We will miss you from the group :glasses:

    Hi-
Am back from my 3-week European vacation and need to get back on track. Even tho it's almost the middle of the month, I want to do the October challenge instead of waiting til Nov. This challenge works and I can't afford to lose another month. I made such terrific progress over the past year and don't want to get back to where I was last October.

Thanks dewdrop for keeping this challenge going!:flowerforyou:

Ahh Beeps, it's okay! We all fail sometimes, just remember today is a new day!

    Welcome back Zaza!

My husband is a Diplomat for the U.S. State Department and we currently live in Panama City, Panama (previously London and Ottawa and a year of him in Afghanistan) so we're traveling home to Florida for a week! There's no place like home when it comes to our lifestyle.

Thanks for the welcome back gmukris! Hope you have a good trip home to Fla. I'm sure your family can't wait to see you and your little ones. Enjoy this special time.

I blew it! I didn't totally pig out, and I really didn't eat anything that's really unhealthy, but I did a lot of late night snacking. Some people want to eat while watching football; I like to eat after watching a debate. Then I stayed up late writing out a business plan. What can I say, tomorrow is another day.

Katemateg, I don't run very much anymore. I'm planning on meeting a group on Saturday and maybe we'll run 4-6 miles. I'm more interested in catching up with friends than running. Right now I mostly do P90X and insanity.

Totally understand the binge AND the reason. But at least I stopped before my cut-off. Small consolation on the 1000+ surplus calories.

Every day is a new day. We can only do something about what is ahead of us. Don't slate yourself if some days you stumble.

Off to bed now folks

I could not stick to that plan the first night (we were back home at 8 and I needed dinner, but it was a light one). Last night I did it, though, but funny thing: I went to bed fuller, because dinner was heavier (so dunno which one was better :ohwell: : eat light later or eat big time ealier, hehe)

Zaza, welcome back! :flowerforyou: Your profile picture is stunning: you look great in that dress! Is that your son? I am happy you did not wait until November - I was actually going to PM you and remind you that you need this challenge  , though with that profile picture I am not sure you do .

Did you guys notice that we have a more "intimate" circle of members this week? Nevertheless, a *very* competitive one, where each of us sets a great example to others (OK, modesty is not in place here). I am SO proud of us!!!

    Where is Wayaluna?
