December 9-15 Challenge....
1. 180 minutes of any type of cardio (running, biking, swimming, rowing, elliptical, you get my drift)
2. 200 Jumping Jacks (for those of you that have trouble with Jumping Jacks, you can replace this with 30 minutes of Yoga)
3. 100 Sit Ups
As I said before, I am going to try and slowly get us into the challenge.... For those of you that want us to keep score and announce a December winner, please let me know once you have completed the weekly challenge...0 -

As the title says December 9-15 I reckon you have to try to complete the exercises during this week.

I'm in for this one. A couple of questions though...
Does the cardio have to be all the same activity or could I do some walking and some swimming?
Not sure my knee can cope with jumping jacks and I don't know how to do yoga, can I replace it with 30 minutes of fencing footwork?
Did 34 sit up crunches today, so starting before I even knew about it!0 -
For those who have asked, definitely change up the cardio if you would like- do some walking, some swimming, etc.... If you have trouble with the jumping jacks, just swap them out for something else- lunges, fencing, or another 30 minutes of cardio is fine:)0

One more thing- that is the total for the week- that way you can break it up as much as you would like:) I normally do 60 minutes of cardio at a time, and 50-100 sit-ups (but I am sick right now, so I am just hoping I can start up by tomorrow)....0

I'm loving this weekly challenge!
So far.......Cardio- 89 minutes
Jumping Jacks-100
Situps- 25
I usually ride my stationary bike twice a day, 30 minutes each time. So I decided to do the jumping jacks in the morning and the situps in the evening.0 -
Ok I forgot about this challenge but will start it in the morning as it is 2am here now lol.0

Jumping Jacks: 25
Sit-ups: 00 -
Cardio: 43/180 minutes
Fencing footwork: 0/30 minutes
Sit ups: 84/100
Did 50 sit ups this morning, but otherwise on a quiet day due to donating blood this evening.0 -
Cardio: 73 mins
Jumping Jacks: 210 (I can't add up clearly!)
Sits Ups: 25
I forgot how much calorie burn you get from jumping jacks!0 -
I didn't make it to the gym last night. It was SOOO cold (-10 F) when I got home, I just put on my smartwool socks and base layer and huddled with my cat, husband and electric throw and watch an awsome TV show on PBS! Tonight..gonna run! I did get in 40 minutes of walking at lunch though!0

Ok weather improving and got in a great run last night at the gym. Wasn't even out of breath!!
Cardio: 120/180 minutes (running and walking at the mall @ lunch)

Tonight is weight lifting so I'll get some jumping jacks in and sit ups (crunches)0
