I go to fitness first, I get 98% of the classes for free unless they get in a specialist trainer in then its about £3/4 for the hour session.
We have a pool, 2 levels with a freestyle area.
Sadly, its not 24hours but it was so much better in terms of equipment, staff attitudes, cleanliness etc compared to other gyms in my area. I have a anytime contract which is £39.99 a bit much but if Im there 3 or 4 times a week I think its worth it and when I joined I was given 4 personal training sessions and can ask for help if I need it without gettifng a PT session. I had a regular member of staff spwnd 40minutes with me showing me a new routine the other day because I said i was bored haha no other gym Ive been with have ever done thay

Well there's a chain of gyms called Gym4All which is £15 per month, which I used to go (before I bought the treadmill) - they are great, no gimmicks just really good machines and equipment, well maintained, loved it. Might go back if I decide to do more serious strength work and sort out a job!

Also there's FitSpace, which is about £12 per month depending on where you are (being in London, I find the gym rates are always a bit higher even with chains, so it might be a bit better in the midlands!)

I use golds gym which is 35 pound a month, it has a lot of machines and a small pool. It's ok but they wanted to charge me and my wife more for a joint membership. Than both having single ones. I thought that sounds like crap business sense..lol

We have 2 gyms in our Parish ............... One is huge and has a pool, cardio gym, weights gym and loads of classes ........... it costs £35 per month for use of the gyms and pool but extra for classes. The other is a small gym with no pool, limited classes but great equipment for cardio and strength. That one costs £31.50 a month for use of the gym, personal workout programme (updated every 6 weeks) and free use of the fishing lake and 9-hole golf course. The classes are charged at a reduced rate for members.
I chose to join the smaller gym with less facilities but only because it seemed less daunting with less people using it. The service I got when I joined was A* and all the staff are really friendly and helpful. I go for an hour each morning Mon-Fri so consider that I'm getting my moneys worth. Who knows .............. I may even take up fishing and golf!! :-)

Mines £36.50 a month and that includes everything, lessons the lot but im thinking of cancelling as im doing Insanity now and dont really need it but il probably wait till end of the month.

I go to our local council gym which is £15/month. It is unlimited use if the pool and gym (because it is a council gym there are lots of swimming lessons). Classes are about £4 I think but I have never done one. It is great. The staff are really friendly and it is completely unpretentious. X

i pay £20.99 a month not tied into a contract but through direct debit. it is called fitcity salford and they have about 6 centres to go to and they have various classes swimming pool sauna steam room gym with lots of machinary and i think it fantastic

I am looking to join our (only) local gym this week and for two of us we are looking at £63 a month, which I think is dreadful!

Unfortunately, rural Dorset does not have much of a selection, so unless we want to travel, we are stick with it.

Let's hope it is worth it

A little over £30 a month each doesn't seem that much (depending on facilities). Even if you only go 3x a week that only equates to £2.50 a visit.

£47 a month at fitness first. Unfortunately my commute is killer and my nearest fitnes first not that near so for the last 3 years it's pretty much equated to £300 per visit :P New years resolution - go to the gym more :P (Or at the very least give up my membership!)
